Thankfully, the people there have a good sense of humor. You may have your calls recorded, but no one's stopping you from giving the "fap" sign to your co workers when you have an annoying one on your hands.

I was offered an interview for a job at a call centre once, but I turned that opertunity down, I'm not very good on phones, lol. Although one thing I was told about it is that they give bonuses for selling whatever you are selling and such, so I guess it's good pay for those who can do it.

I spoke to a friend who also wants a night job, and we're going to the place to give in our CV's on Monday, so we'll see what happens. I figure I might as well do a night shift, seeing as I'm up anyway.

I think (though not entirely sure) that mostly it's dealing with / recording complaints and shit like that, rather than telephone sales. I wouldn't particularly like to be a telephone salesman, because whenever I get a call from one, I get someone irritated with their unnecessary persistence, even though it's obviously part of their job.

Yeah, I've been through much of the same. 2 grandparents with cancer, one that didn't overcome it. But fortunately (or as however you want to see it) I don't care much for my family, so I was never in a state of tragedy regarding it.

I remember. We even had a banner made up and a basic site design. But I don't remember who did all of that. We need to dig up those lost posts so we don't have to rethink them again, wasting brain space.

Sorry, it was a reference to the movie, A Christmas Story, where the dad gets a Leg Lamp from a newspaper contest. He then proceeds to display the "major award" in the front window for the neighborhood to see.

It was around the 850's, I believe. We had a banner, a slick home page, and a flash module that had the Defcon rating (although it wasn't made, but the idea was there).

I thought he did well for his first two flashes. I helped, but he did all of the hard work. Too bad the second one took the Daily 6th, which is only a runner up. It was only .2 away from taking a daily award.

Been very busy on Rage thread posting abusive links to submissons. Im totally confused about the rules absent an exellant mod by the way, says its okay to flag old reviews. I wish that the rules said what your meant to flag ,and such. Spam submissons i thought you were not meant to flag now, im not so sure. So many diffrent views.

Apparently you can mark reviews on spam submissions now and reviews no matter what the date is on them. I tested this out today with an alt. account by marking 50 abusive reviews that were all 2003 and down and I got a bronze whistle so I guess it's safe to say that its true.

There was abuse of that pretty recently. People would make an alt, spam reviews of old flashes (both spam and legit alike), then mark them abusive with their main. A few accounts got deleted because of that. So be careful when you go back in time to get some points.

Well I have a Deity Whistle so I don't mark anything with my account anymore. The alt. was pretty much to test out if the mods were going to stick to their word and delete the old reviews or not.

I just can't be bothered to actually work my way up and whistle more... I don't like the purity suggested by the Deity whistles, I blam submissions in my sleep, I am not pure of heart, I want a custom whistle, red with horns on it. Then I'll whistle.

I actually have several account that I plan on getting to Diety before I think about even attempting to help other people, Statwhore, DeityWhistleCrew, and I might attempt my girlfriends if I get the other two. Then I will probably give up on the marking abuse, but I'm still going to be looking for it to post for other people.
