It's nice to help people out, though, and there's some good stat threads and conversation to take part in. Yeah, the Wi/Ht has its goods and bads. It's a great forum overall, with very useful threads, the level up lounge, clueless trolling newbies (you have to agree, NEVR, the trolling noobs are damn fun!) and more.

On the other hand, there WAS the Wtf Kitty Krew thread, which was full of spam and alts being given away. By far, the worst thread ever created in the Wi/Ht, in my opinion. Also, thank you for pointing out that the "new" thread was a gimmick thread. =P

Also, there are those who think the Wi/Ht is the General forum, and act like idiots on purpose. It's kinda funny, though. Maybe they suffer from double personality or something...

And, finally, there are the "+1" users, that post there just for the +1 post count. The abusive stuff thread got locked once because of it.

Despite all these problems, the Wi/Ht is great. =)

gfox is without a doubt the best poster ever to grace the BBS. I'm glad he came back after he was demodded, because he sets a great example for the newbies, and he's also fun to talk to.

And yeah, he along with you and the more experienced guys (the members =P ) run the Wi/Ht, specially gfox and his huge posts. Coop and Bahamut also do a great job with the "main" threads, to say so.

To be honest, I never really use it... unless I'm logging out to deposit on my alt. When I'm finished for the day on NG, though, I just stay logged in overnight.

I don't use the "log out" button either. I log out when I clear the cache, although I had to use it to take a screen-shot of the "Some account type thingy here" when not logged in. And not counting the times when I click it by accident. =P

LOL. The regulars list is the more active list, as it gets updated once a month. The memberlist is like the Wi/Ht regulars hall of fame. I miss being on the regulars list and being a part of the updates, etc, but being on the memberlist is like the greatest achievement a Wi/Ht regular can make, IMO.

Obviously a forum dedicated to helping newbies is going to attract some idiots. We keep them in check though, I like to think. I speak to BH on AIM a fair amount, so if I see something that shouldn't be there, I can let him know and get it taken care of pretty quickly.

I've seen people posting threads in Wi/Ht thinking it's General, and even people replying to posts thinking they're in General, and then apologising afterwards because they know they're supposed to be helpful rather than sarcastic in Wi/Ht.

He was de-review-modded in October '06 because the review modding system changed or something, and he didn't do much review modding following that. He was de-BBS-modded in April '07 at his own request. You can always ask him if you want to know more ;P

Not many people do. I don't mind telling people that I have an alt, but I keep its identity relatively secret. I mainly use it to say things that need to be said in certain threads on the BBS, whilst at the same time avoiding getting involved in any e-drama.

Not a bad pace, at least I kept my goal of 50 a week. I am now looking forward to making General!

Nice roster update! Things are looking pretty good, and despite my internet problems, I racked up nearly 100 points, even after playing hard-ball when it comes to voting. I lose a lot of B/P over being a high standard hard-ass in the Portal.

Why doesn't the Members list has a monthly update as well? But I have to agree with you, being a Wi/Ht member member should be the greatest achievement for someone in the Wi/Ht. When I became a regular there (still on my news post, which needs to be refreshed), I was damn happy. I didn't expect getting that many votes! I want to become a member there, someday.

On the other hand, there WAS the Wtf Kitty Krew thread, which was full of spam and alts being given away. By far, the worst thread ever created in the Wi/Ht, in my opinion.

Don't know how that thread ever survived. The idiot who created it kept trying to justify it by saying it was a place for serious discussion about spam crews, but frankly, there's only so much serious discussion to be had. Eventually it just lapsed into a picture spamming thread.

I don't know how it didn't get locked after the first post. It survived, and I posted my opinion about it right on the first page, while it was still fresh.

Also, there are those who think the Wi/Ht is the General forum, and act like idiots on purpose. It's kinda funny, though. Maybe they suffer from double personality or something...

I've seen people posting threads in Wi/Ht thinking it's General, and even people replying to posts thinking they're in General, and then apologising afterwards because they know they're supposed to be helpful rather than sarcastic in Wi/Ht.

That's what I don't get. First, how can you confuse General with Where is/How to? I mean, in General we don't have 1,000 pages in one thread, do we? Second, why acting differently on different forums?

And, finally, there are the "+1" users, that post there just for the +1 post count. The abusive stuff thread got locked once because of it.

They seem to have died down a bit, but there's still the odd fool who tries their luck. They often get taken care of pretty quickly.

There are still some around there, but way less than before.

He was de-review-modded in October '06 because the review modding system changed or something, and he didn't do much review modding following that. He was de-BBS-modded in April '07 at his own request. You can always ask him if you want to know more ;P

Yeah, I'll PM him latter. I'd like to know why was he de-modded...

Well, I can only hope that you fix your whistle soon. I don't know if there is really a glitch with the whistle system or not. I flagged some reviews that were deleted but nothing changed. But I used to flag lots of abusive reviews, even after I got my deity whistle, so I can't tell you much about it. From what I've read in the abusive stuff thread, many people believe there's actually a glitch with the whistle system, although Wade (I think) said that it was everything OK.

I'll try posting there more often to help you out. I usually post there to report Flashes, and most of them get flagged.
