Hey guys! I apologize for my inactiveness lately, my dad has developed an annoying habit of disconnecting my internet connection when ever the fuck he feels like it. I've figured out he doesn't do it through his computer, but literally pulls a plug somewhere in his office. Now I just gotta sneak in there and figure out which one it is :P It's probably attached to the modem or something.

Coolio, I go back to work next week so unless Grammer doesn't b/p this week and I can pull 2000 b/p I probably won't pass him for the rest of the summer. I guess if I'm patient enough I can slowly grow my b/p, but its all good, it'll be nice to have cash instead of credit again. Sigh(expenses)...

Ok, now I thought I should state that the reason I havn't been active of late is due to the fact that I'm on vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC. I'll be arriving home on June 9th and should be active again around that time. I spent the last 20 minutes catching up on all the posts in the Barracks, so I'm once again with the times.

You may be wondering why I'm able to respond now, but havn't been able to before. The answer is I'm actually alone at the condo I'm staying at right now, so I have had time to use my brother's laptop. I've been spending most of my days swimming, surfing, and of course drinking with the family. The only me-time I have is late at night in which I use to call my girlfriend who is an hour behind my current timezone.

Also, on official business, I have been toying with the idea for a new program. It would work like Portal Guard but would work with abusive Flash, reviews, ect and would allow a faster reaction from Barracks members. For example, say there is a movie called "Never Moon A Werewolf" is submitted, but the movie's content is that of Meatspin's. The first person that had the program mention above would hit a button in the program that allowed him/her to enter in information about the movie above and it is sent to a database that holds the report in file. Then, all who have the program running are alerted and then open the report and decide whether or not the movie should be whistled. Then if the report does turn out to be correct and the Flash is put under review, it would make a permanent record of such an event. This could be used to build up statistical data on frequent rulebreakers, which could be used to moniter such people or even report it to Wade for administrative action.

This is just a rough idea, but I in no way WHAT-SO-EVER want this idea to encourage blind mass-flagging.

(Although, Ventrilo would be a much simpler, effective method. The above just sounds kickass.)

What are some of your opinions/ideas about this idea?

I was right about the plug thing, and it turns out that my dad has to disable the internet connection to the entire house, just to keep me away from here; but no worries I have found the cable he unplugs and can be on more frequently, however he will eventually notice that I have figured out how to correct this situation, so i regret to say that my b/p pace will most likely slow down.

This is just a rough idea, but I in no way WHAT-SO-EVER want this idea to encourage blind mass-flagging.

(Although, Ventrilo would be a much simpler, effective method. The above just sounds kickass.)

While your idea is interesting and something to think about, I'd have to say no to it. The reason is that it simply fosters mass-flagging and otherwise a collaboration of users in a way that's suspicious. I think we can do well enough with AIM chat-rooms and Vent chatrooms for this purpose. Like I said, a Vent server WILL be coming back soon enough. I'm still working on the underpinnings of the server right now, but am moving forward nonetheless.

Speaking of the server, a little update:

I was having problems with the 750-gig hard drive I plopped into it, thanks to good ol' Dell. However, things finally decided to magically work again (I swear it's possessed), so all is well. Things will be moving forward nonetheless. Once the actual host server work is complete I've abandoned all other projects I ahve for it until I get the forums running. The server will be a bit less robust (no backups or other protections besides power protection) for a while, but at least we'll have SOMETHING. Either way, the project isn't keeping stagnant, as I keep working on it day by day. :-)

Just got accepted into university. I love you all. My gap year has been a total waste of time, but it doesn't matter now because I'm going to UNI. That's right.

Congrats! amd muny hugs man! Naw a gap year is always good. I'm gonna try to take one when I graduate in the near future hopefully. You go to school for most of you life and its good to take a break. Well I don't know conversion but I do know that professional instruments (especially in america) are very... very expensive so good louck with that. You could always see if you can put it on a payement plan. So what are you going to study in school?
