Uhh, no. It'll be like it was when I shared the roster with Sterockicy - we just work off the data from each week's roster, so it stays at a set weekly rate and there's no confusion.

Yeah I suppose it is unusually for that many in one day. But a lot of these spammers submit more than just one of those unsuitable flashes so that is probably why. I find it pretty stupid for people that submit those since they will never pass.

Morning Barracks! I've been on the Portal watch today and already been getting some rule-breaking (mostly stolen) submissions duly taken care of. I'm really enjoying being able to report these kinds of submissions more quickly and effectively, and seeing the "authors" get their due and proper is hugely satisfying.

People used to a daily report of their Portal activities, but I think moderators considered it some kind of spammy attitude, so they stopped doing it. Well, fair enough.

But what if we brought this back, but in a monthly basis? I know it sounds a bit crazy, but we could post it along with the State of the Portal, or just post it here!

Anyone agrees with this idea or is it just plain stupid?

Well in a way I agreed with them. It seemed like half of the the Barracks members only posted in here to show off their gainings for that day, which isn't what the Barracks is about. So although I didn't like that being stopped, I understood why it was done.

Some spammers never learn (Fleek especially), but there's some whodo, and who repent over time. yoshi77777 for example. I've been talking to him a bit on AIM recently, and he doesn't seem at all like the idiot I knew him as in November/December/January. Mind you he still likes his stats (just like the rest of us), but he really seems to want to do good for NG.

That sounds interesting. You mean like a blog of portal activity for each active member of the barracks? But I can't quite figure out what purpose this would serve. I know all I would wirte is my B/P count and exp. gain, but most of that is in the roster.

Copy pasta from the forums, a possible suggestion for FBI and NEVR (and anyone else that is on Wade's team and hasn't mentioned it yet). I'm sure there are plenty of Barracks members willing to help...

Possible proposal, depending on whether people are up for it... from now on, rather than posting rule breaking submissions in the Barracks (which has always seemed a little pointless as they are usually gone before anyone sees it!), maybe we should form a little group on MSN/AIM so we can tell those of us that are in contact with Wade (FBI and NEVR that I know of), and they can then pass the message on from there. A little conveyor of portal watching if you will.

Thoughts?
