Yeah. I've been able to gain over 1,000 points on Clock Day once. Clock Day is such busy day in the Portal.

Yeah, it's nice to be able to report stuff quicker. I've PMed Wade regarding some stolen submissions etc before his Portal Watch started, and never received a reply, so it's hard to know whether anything has actually been done.

Personally, I'd advise against it. We have our good ol' Records Officer to take full control of displaying our stat-whoring on a regular basis. He also updates more than monthly, so there'd really be no purpose. Rather than rock the boat, why not just play it safe and not get the mods mad?

Well, first off, I consider it a good idea. I was always in the favor of alerting Barracks members of potential rule-breaking flash. If anyone remembers, we had a "flag alert" system which partially worked, where people woudl be alerted to rulebreaking flash, which rule they broke, and the link. An AIM chatroom would be nice, in particular (sorry, I'm partial to AIM you MSN whores)...

I think it'd be a good idea if you guys chatted it up in that manner. I could always resurrect the idea of a Barracks Vent Server, where we could all connect and talk via mics (you WoW-whores will know the app well). However, AIM is just as good of a medium.

If you guys want, we can test the idea out tonight and see what kind of a following we'd get. Someone start a chat room in AIM (or IM me to do it), and we'll get everyone on. Everyone can IM me to join up, as I'll be on tonight.

Which as of last night I am apart of. However, if you haven't already applied to his "Portal Watch," I wouldn't suggest doing it for a while. Last thing the Barracks' wants is the view from Wade that we are all a bunch of annoying twats that spam his inbox with late applications. I think my computer has a built in mic, and I don't even know if it works. Getting the moderators mad is the last thing I want here. I know we had some trouble in the past (even in the first page) with moderators, and I don't want it again.

It's a good idea, but we could spread it to MSN too, since I only have MSN and I don't feel like downloading AIM =P. Lots of our members have MSN, so why not spreading it to MSN too?

Holy shit so much has happened here since I left for school this morning! Eagle rock came by, the whole chat room mic thing was proposed (I think that's a cool idea!), the stats have been updated *pant**pant* I miss all the good stuff when I'm at school. Well if some oune could go about helping me get an AIM or MSN account that would be great cause I've never had an instant messaging program. Are they free? I don't play WoW but I know what vent is, but that's not free is it? I don't know if some one could PM me with info that'd be great :)
