Also, announcement, I have finally translated Paschendale (into Hebrew, lol Israel) and made a slightly renewed version of it on newstage.co.il. I'll provide links to anyone who cares enough to pm about it. That means that upon completion of 5-7 more of these (which is in progress) I'll most likely publish my first commercial book, and by God, The good men and woman (women?) of the Barracks will go on the thanks list for it.

P.S.S: should all my stories improve to the level I NOW write at, an American publication is not excluded and my book could be by your side too, this might just take some time.

That seems a little Orwellian to me. Everyone has different tastes...and, more importantly, some people only vote on what they like or don't like, leading to the same sort of effect.

I have to agree with Slash on this one. I know that I don't always vote on every movie I see. Also, your perception of "good flash" is different than others. For example, some people did actually like those Barney Bunch Secret Episodes. While you might blam it, someone might protect it because they find it funny. There's nothing wrong with that. Remember that we are a club that does NOT condone mass-voting, and monitoring members' votes will start us down the path to mass-voting.

Now, if something DOES seem really weird with someone, PM me about it. But without something concrete---pretty much nothing short of "I may as well five every movie by [insert group here] for the points"---no action will be taken.

That is a different story, of course. That is based on discretion, and if someone was truly a mass-voter like that, there would be more warning signs than just your B/P ratio.

It is technically a "stat thread" in that it's all about leveling up and user statistics, but I think he meant lists of users either not covered by the rankings pages (total voting power list), or in greater depth than the rankings pages (51+ B/P list).

To be fair, it's not like much will change once you do reach the rank of Private and are formally inducted into the Barracks, as you post here pretty regularly as it is. I'm sure once the 'Guardsmen' are added on to the Roster, it will motivate you to B/P a little more. :)

To be fair, it's not like much will change once you do reach the rank of Private and are formally inducted into the Barracks, as you post here pretty regularly as it is. I'm sure once the 'Guardsmen' are added on to the Roster, it will motivate you to B/P a little more. :)

There's a solution to that problem, and it is the same as the solution to a problem I had in December and early January, of not being all that interested in B/P.
1. Use NG Log. Biggest (only?) Newgrounds statwhore site on the web.
2. Set goals for yourself on NG Log, for example beating a friend or enemy of yours in some B/P-related category.. For example, my current goal is to beat Kes in B/P per Day, like I beat his best-known alt BigFuzzyKitten a while back.
3. Use the Portal Guard. Believe me, it works (at least until you run into runtime 9, then you're on your own). It notifies you of new submissions in the Portal when you're, say, doing your homework, or posting on the BBS. Solely on the basis of Portal Guard, I passed Safety Patrol in two nights (that's 50 B/P each night). Download it at: http://nglog.denvish.net/portalguard.php
4. When Portal Guard notifies you of a new submission, pause whatever you're doing, and go view the submission. Vote as you feel, or if necessary (and I hope it isn't, I don't like when people break NG rules), blow the whistle and bring it to the EGB, and preferably the NGPD and Rage's in Wi/Ht.

It's funny, everytime I level up in the B/P ranks, I report in, with a completely pointless post only to brag about my new, shiny badge. Well, I'll try to make it different this time, making a more detailed post with some things that haave happened to me lately. Interesting things.

I'm glad to see that our founder/Supreme Commander EagleRock is back and started posting here again. I hope he finds some more time to post around here. Also, he reminds me of Dr. Mohinder Suresh, a character from Heroes. I don't know why.

It's also good that Phantom is posting here again. I hope he's well, I got worried about him when I read about his... you know. Better not reminding it.

Today was a kinda busy day for me. School in the morning as usual, but in the afternoon I had to go to the dentist. That took me the whole afternoon. Coming back home, it was raining a lot. I mean, a LOT. After a while, when I was already home, the electricity went down for one hour. It came back about half an hour ago, so not a lot of Newgrounds for me today. =P

Yes, well, setting goals does help. I mean, without wanting to beat Kes in B/P per Day I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have. Most of my work at Police Officer was almost as much for the goal as for the protection of the Portal (almost, I said, not quite), and after I set the goal I passed Police Officer before (OK, a few hours before, but still before) I hit Level 12.

I'm a pretty slow typer... But that doesn't stop me from B/Ping, it just lowers the amount of posts I had each day when I only posted on General, back in late November.
