Flash is kinda hard to learn, but once you get the basics down, it's not that bad. Time-consuming, but not that bad. My main problems are that I suck at drawing...always have, always will...and that I am really bad with actionscript (I still need to look at tutorials to do buttons, lol).

If you get flash (if you don't have it), I'd advise doing what I did, and trying the basic Barney-Bunch-style a few times...it goes over a lot of the basics, like Speakonia (which, while not always good for flash, is still a very useful tool to have), converting audio files, importing, tweening, basic button/stop actionscript...yeah. The BB may have been our 'enemies' for a while, but I owe my flash knowledge to them.

For better or for worse, lol.

Once you got the basics down, you can have a lot of fun with flash. Plus it's great for making .gifs...my profile pic, I made in flash, heh. ^_^

It's been really slow today for me, but that has more to do with me barely being at my computer for huge parts of it. I've got over 550 points for the week, so my place in the 75+ list tomorrow is assured at least. Plus the weekend should be awesome. There should be a load pf points coming in for Pico day, and the weather in Denver is meant to be reaching the 80s for the first time this year :D

PLEASE improve your posting- you are just beginning to drive me crazy. You post in here more than anyone I have ever seen, and almost all of your posts are identical. I can't count the number of times you have said 'the portal is slow, I want to reach my target by Pico Day', or something of the sort.

1) If you are writing something you have said before, don't say it, or say it as a part of something else.

2) STOP starting every post with 'well'. Extend your vocabulary a bit.

3) Lengthen your posts, and post less. You can post three or four times a day and write three times more in each post. At the moment you are virtually alternating with the other users, and writing a couple of lines each time.

4) Take my damn review challenge :P

You can be a good poster, and I like your enthusiasm, but I just can't take reading the same post over and over again anymore. It is verging on spam.

This place, just like the Mafia which you are a member of too, likes good posters, and tries to improve people's posting habits if they think they are poor. What I have said is friendly advice, so take it.

Lol, this is why I don't give myself extra things to do very often, and NEVER set a deadline when I do :D. For example, my next story will be written soon, but whether that is 'tomorrow' soon, or 'redesign' soon I won't say!

Thanks, just keep working on it :). Sorry if I came across harshly there- my day truly has been shit, but while Phantom is less active I feel I have to try and keep control of this place a bit. I like how active things have been in the last week or so, but that doesn't excuse spammy posting. It annoys me when people do that; I actually have to read the post to understand the conversation, instead of skimming it because I saw the post before and know what your talking about. This is especially when I'm a page or 2 behind, and I want to get caught up on what's been happening.

The weather is glorious here in Denver (78 degrees :D), so I'll be out playing tennis later, and otherwise just lazing around in the Sun. It will cost me points here, but they aren't the end of the world anymore.

B/P wise I'll probably get around 90 points, my usual haul on a a Saturday. With Portal Guard I won't miss a thing while I am actually in, and I'll be here for the busier evening period. Of course there is a chance that Pico Day submissions will start to roll in, so I could get a bit more. Most importantly, I'll be waiting for the top 300 list like every week to see how I've done compared to everyone else, and watch Slash disappear into the distance... >:(

It's been awhile since my last post so I thought I'd drop by and say hello. I have an excuse too!

My laptop's hardrive crapped out about 3 weeks ago so my wife took over b/p for about a week. Then I had my wedding on the 14th out in San Diego. Then we had to drive all of our stuff cross country to Georgia, and finally I had to go back to work. This last week I've been catching up on work along with shopping for stuff for the new house, right now it's still pretty empty.

The wedding turned out much better than I expected, much bigger too! Over 200 people turned up for it! I had almost nothing to do with the planning as we lived over 2000 miles apart. I just showed up to it and pretty much did as I was told. Stand here, walk here, crawl there (for the garder). It was actually kinda fun too and that's saying a lot as I usually hate stuff like that.

Thanks to Phantom for depositing my account during our drive cross country.

Congrats to any members deserving congrats.

And welcome to the new members! Seems we have more than a few.

Also for me I finally earned my 3rd star sometime last week so I'm now EG Lieutenant General!

I think it's kind of ironic; you become a better poster in not posting "I only got 1864 b/p points today. The portal is slow" and not using the "reply with quote" button, but turn to bad grammar. Get firefox and use it as your web browser. It has a spell checker built in, so all those boo-boos that you make spelling wise will get underlined. It doesn't do actual grammar, so you have to capitalize your "I"s and the first letter in a Sentence by yourself.

I guess I'll b/p a little today. I seem to be b/ping more and more now a days. It must be the EGB atmosphere. And I'll post, too. I seem to be on more than usual these past couple of days.

He is just trying to please us. Everyone is complaining about the update being delayed more than LoZ: Twilight Princess, and for longer, too. He said that he doesn't want to set a date, because every date he's set was too early. That's what he's sorry about; setting dates in December and November, yet he's not even done by May.

Lol, I noticed that as well. Firefox really is the best for keeping typos out of posts (not that it prevents them entirely). I sent ILC a nice long PM last night about how to post well, and from what I have seen he has taken it to heart, so all is well again :).

Honestly I've stopped thinking about it now. It will come when it is done, and so long as it if good when it arrives that is all that matters. I am glad they are taking their time to do it right rather than rushing out a buggy version, so I'll just sit back and be patient. Not like I am going anywhere anyway :D

Well look at it this way, It's either that or I just start with the old way of posting which I know annoys people alot. So a few mis-spelled words is not going to kill you to just ignor it and move on. At least be glad i changed the way i post and am not going stat-whorish around the EGB anymore.

I have always wondered how you all seem to get lik 90-100 b/ps a say and the most i have ever gotten in one day is 81. Well i guess you all just use a diffrent strategy then me or something and it seems to pay off well for you all. But i am really needing to get that much a day cause it would really help me out when i get up to the higher levels of the Elite Guards.
