So, I've learned something.
I need to stop trying to set deadlines for myself.
See, the problem is that when I try to estimate when I'll be finished with a flash/fanfic/whatever, I only factor in how long the work would take if done non-stop. The problem is that I forget to factor in my immense, unpredictable laziness.
Sometimes I open up my .fla, look at all the keyframes and audio and library objects and stuff, and I just...don't feel like working. Same with my fanfic work. And if I force myself to try to work on it, it turns out crappy and sloppy.
Well, crappier and sloppier than usual.
So yes. While I intend to finish the first Secret Episode Special by tomorrow, from then on, my flash...and fanfics...happen whenever they happen. Not like I'm being paid or anything.
Believe me, I'd love to keep giving to my audience and fans every day, or even every week, if I could. But it's for the best if I don't restrict myself to deadlines anymore...best for myself, best for the audience.
Now, for things way in advance, I can keep deadlines. For example, I've already begun storyboarding my Clock Day '07 flash, and I'm positive it'll be done by August 15. But all my smaller projects...yeah, I'll just let it flow however it flows.
But yes. Slash Returns: SES1, coming out in the next 30-odd hours! Look for it! :-D
