I have no idea, I was simply relaying the PM I received, and knowing nothing about places that can host a document like that I can't suggest any alternatives. If anyone does know anywhere that may be suitable as a temporary hosting site for the FAQ then either post about it here or PM Phantom about it (I'm assuming Phantom is the only person with the FAQ saved...), as we could do with getting it back up while we wait on news about the site.

I thought I'd save my 1000th post for this place, and here it is! No longer am I a BBS noob :D.

I'd forgotten that site even existed! The roster on it hasn't been updated for over a year, and it looks very different from the current roster, not to mention a little depressing seeing all the people I was behind back then.

The decision rests with Phantom as and when he sees these posts- that site has been out of use for a long time, but it could be used just to put up the FAQ for us to link to, leaving the rest of the site out of date. The sooner the main site gets fixed the better!

The portal is behaving itself well today, with a reasonable flow of submissions, and not too much spam. What spam there has been got what it deserved as well, so everything is good. I'm guessing spring break in the US, and the Easter holidays in the UK and other countries are the reason behind the good turnout of submissions.

The reason for my absence you ask? (Not that you would actually ask because you dont care but I will tell you anyway because I want to and you have no say in it ) is because of School. I have had to study for end of term tests and it has consumed most of my nights. Luckily tomorrow is the last day of term for me, YAH! So from then on I will be able to post more often and even possibly get my b/p average over 100 points a day. Probably not by the next update but the one after. We will see.

Now onto something weird. I recently discovered that I rank up in strange ways.

On a good day of b/ping for me, I usually go up 1-2 ranks.
On a bad day of b/ping for me, I usually rank up 3-4 ranks.

Laptop, coupled with two separate ISPs - one for his main computer and one more for his laptop. That should work. Maybe I'll do that with my alt someday.

I noticed over the last few hours alot of "arthur fats" type movies, got me like 25 blams in a few hours. Which is always good. Aiming for 100B/P points today which hasn't happened in a long time. But all thanks to Portal Guard I can get everything.

They're back now, not that I am complaining. I missed most of the ones submitted earlier in the only hour and half I was away from my computer all day (thanks to a small mountain of stats work I need to get completed)- TYPICAL! That is also why I haven't posted here today- work is such a pain sometimes.

They are a great source of points though, and they are helping me keep above 100 points per day this week, which hasn't happened in a while. Lets hope they keep coming, although a load of those accounts must be portal banned by now.

The requirements B/P wise are to have over 1500 (therefore be an elite guard) and so on the criteria you are fine. We also check posting history, and although you have some bad ones, there are also plenty of decent posts littered around, so I say welcome aboard (somewhat unofficially should Phantom disagree...)! Be warned that we don't tolerate one line posts in here, so please make an effort to improve your posting habits a little.

This is the point where I would point you to the FAQ, but it is down for the moment. The main thing is to post well, and a few examples of rules that tend to be broken:
DO NOT respond to spammers, ever. Responding will only encourage them.
No stat only posts- if you want to post daily gains and the like then include some other topic of conversation in your post as well.
No encouraging mass voting in any way, shape or form. We as the elite guard encourage voting fairly on submissions, with a full range of votes from 0-5, and do not vote simply to get points. I don't care if it is a spam group that always have their flash pass, we still vote as the flash deserves.

That's pretty much it- hopefully the FAQ will be back up soon and you can browse through that. In the mean time pick a bunk and get acquainted with everyone- I suggest looking over the last 5-10 pages of posts to see what we usually talk about. I warn you that Phantom likes to torture the new recruits, and PenguinLink has a bit of a bunny fetish, but other than that we are fairly normal :D

My B/P pace took a hit today after a very busy day at work, and then going off to the Nuggets game this evening (which they lost). It's the first NBA game I've seen, and I must say the atmosphere was pathetic compared to British football or rugby matches, at least until the last couple of minutes. It was a good game though, with plenty of lead changes, so I got my moneys worth :)

So about 70 points today- still pretty good, but not the 100+ I've been getting the rest of the week.

Ahh, this is where I come into my element - I'm doing another day and a half before taking ten whole days off for Easter / Birthday Season.

My girlfriend's, My Mum & Dad's Wedding Anniversary, My birthday, My brother's birthday and then my mum's, all within 10 days!
