When that Flash movie claiming to be a FPS game preview (I think it was called "Out-something III"), I had to restart my whole system in order to shake it off. I was suspicious about opening the Flash, since it was of a low file size of 0.2kb (usually reserved for graphically decimated games, .swfs that are hosted on an off-site server, or extremely crap entries) and the file's name was "pWNAGE.swf". Almost immediately, I attempted to click out of the window as soon as I saw the Flashes .swf name, expecting a crap entry, but was struck with a script that disabled my computer for a bit. I had to restart my really shitty Toshiba laptop in order for the computer to close the file (ctrl+alt+del didn't work), and then restart the Firefox browser. I ran a virus scan using the inferior McAfee Anti-Virus, and found nothing, so in reality, nobody who opened the maliciously scripted Flash was "infected". After that experience, I realized that you have to expect anything and everything to b/p in the Flash Portal; whether it be snuff clips, maliciously scripted files, unsuitable media, or stolen Flash. I'm actually used to seeing these kinds of entries (yes, even the infamous "My trip to Chechnya" clip), but if there's one Flash entry that can stop me completely, it's the disabling script Flash, and the auto pop-up thing is just laughable...anyone who knows how to open the program manager can easily stop it. I'm now searching for a store that sells NOD32 Anti-virus, because I am sick of McAfee's really shit service, to be honest >:C .

Poof, at least I can enjoy my lead for a bit longer now. :P You are right on one thing, I will have to slow down when the time school resumes next Tuesday because I will have 18 credit hours of classes in the upcoming semester. ( including 3 upper level math courses) But I can guarantee that I can still get around 45 points per day during school months.Since you are going to retire after reaching EGSC, guess that I have won the war already because there is no way that I am going to stop at the 30000 mark as long as I am alive. Excellent said, my friend. I honestly agree. It is in the Barrack's FAQ as well. Try to avoid short posts and do not always post your achievements. (I am not aiming directly at you DarkSoldier, this is in General) Because I have noticed several people here who only post to say they achieved a new rank or a new level. I agree with Phantom, basically two to three lines would make a difference in our intelligent and posting methods and would then increase the thread's "thoroughness", so to speak.

Guess that we now have another massive SS raid in the portal. What makes me angry is that most of their spammy entries just barely pass the judgement. If our members get more involoved in the process of blamming those craps, we are more than capable enough to send them to hell! (the graveyard) I have seen some SS entries blammed, so it is POSSIBLE to destroy their craps, we just have to take care of business (blam their craps) as a group. From now now, please VOTE 0 on ANY KIND of SS loading screens and those craps that they put no efforts or what so ever. Even if you vote 1, it will give them a chance to pass. I agree. I have also thought over being even stricter on B/P points. Like getting fifty points per week. Surely fifty points isn't too hard to get for everyone, most of us even get that in one day. Then we can bump it up every once and awhile. I'm not saying we have to do this, but it's a suggestion. I dont think it's right for people to join this club after reaching Elite Guard rank and just joining this club to gain posts. I think if you join the Barracks you have to put at least some time on B/P. Again, this is just a suggestion.

Exactly. If this rule is established I hope the ones that don't B/P at all that are on the Barracks have a goal to strive for every week. That is the reason I made this offer, so people who don't B/P have a reason to.

I like the idea, but it really does not affect me as I always keep a steady pace anyway. In addition to the new idea, I suggest deleting those members who are inactive for 1 month from the roster. What do you think?

It isn't suppose to affect the active B/Pers, it's suppose to affect the inactive B/Pers. I was thinking members have one chance to screw up, then they are out of the Barracks. Unless of cpurse they have an excuse, like they are on vacation or something like that. I am still waiting an approval from Phantom or EagleRock. Most likely Phantom.

Don't you think thats a little harsh? I understand that you want to get rid of members that are inactive and, in a way not really contrubiting. But what if someone unexpectedly loses their connection for a month? as long as its ok if you explain beforehand (i think someone mentioned if you were on vacation) then im all for it. ^_^

New day is only in 30 miniutes correct, but i do that anyway. I remember what flashes were terrible and what flashes were good and i vote again just so it increases the chances of that flash getting blammed/protected, thus increasing my chances of getting an extra blam/protect point. But i am a bit busy flagging abusive reviews right now...

You bloody right. I am sick of this shit in the portal. It would be alright if it all got blammed because I would get a point but its all friggen passing due to the mass voters. I am now going to go back into the portal and vote 0's again on whats left Under Judgement (like 5 or 6). Ten minutes ago there were like 30 and then they all just passed.

Yep, They are getting everyone from there crew to vote 5's. Its happened before with crews and its happening again.

Also, I said in my previous post that there was only 5 under judgement submissions left. Turns out my computer sorta stuffed up and didnt show the grey thing around the submissions between 5-30. Sorry about the inaccurate statement.

If you don't like the movies then vote how you feel but for the love of god Please don't tell people to Vote 0. Wow, Only ten in a week. Thats crazy. I have also changed my way of voting since I first joined. I used to have at least double as many blam points as saves. Nowadays I struggle to get half as many blams as I do saves a DAY!

I dont want to take sides but you have made a good point. The barracks is about voting fairly and even if that IS voting 0 on all the crap you shouldnt go telling everyone to give 0's to all of there movies. Because if we do, were just as bad as them because we would both be mass voting. Two wrongs dont make a right! Well you forget not everyone has the same Taste Dream-of-Duke. When I watch their flash movies I do laugh sometimes at the flash movies. some may think I am crazy but my taste in flash has changed since I first joined Ng. if a flash movie can make me laugh I don't vote 0 on it if I decide to blam instead I give it a one. If I do feel the movie is good enough to be protected I vote 2. Also I doubt any of the SS members are 3 years old.

As for your thing about them submitting "crap" into the protal, not everyone think the same way as you do. I can give you 2 examples of this. Take Dating sims for instance. A lot of people on NG don't like them because they think "Dating sims are for nerds who can't get real people in real life" other's think that dating sims are fun to play and are helpful with real dating in real life. Another example of this is the foamy series. Many people don't like foamy while other do. My point is that everyone doesn't have the same taste in flash movies and what is trash to some is gold to others.

But Dream-of-Duke you shouldn't tell people to vote 0 even if the flash really does deserve a 0 because like I said before you are promoting massvoting which you know the EGB is completely against. If a mod where to read your posts they would have a reason to lock this thread since massvoting is illegal on NG as well as Subjecting it as well. No matter what the situtation is if you want to say something just say "vote what you feel the flash deserves" or "vote fairly on the movie" this way no one can accuse us of promoting massvoting.

Lastly on the "cheap protect points thing", some people on Ng don't care or lost hope since this has happened so much in the past. Many people who B/P are statewhores and if they know certain groups movies always pass they are going to vote for the point since they think it is a sure thing not what they feel it deserves. If everyone voted fairly then maybe half the stuff that passed because of statewhores wouldn't or if it did pass the score would be different. But sadly due to the B/P system being overly abused my many indivduals and flash groups B/P has been ruined.
