It is a rare occasion that there is a problem. People using ALT's to post in the forums while banned for example. I know of cases of such things happening. So it is not a problem to have your ALT's known? I know Bahumut displays his two in his sig so I am assuming it is not a problem.

Not at all. Those that post when banned generally have huge problems and get their accounts deleted. Those people are few and far between, and the mods have a good grasp on the situation. On the other hand, there are many that will refuse to post when an alt is banned, so there is no problem. As long as you do that, you're fine. Also, you can make it known all you want if you wish. I choose not to broadcast mine, simply because there is little point.

That is not a bad idea. I have never changed my username. I have thought about it, but I wouldn't even know what to change it to. That is the other problem with me making an ALT account, I would have no name figured out.

Well, take what I did for instance. For Christmas last year, I changed my name to "EagleBellRock." On Valentine's Day, I changed it to EagleRock-my-world. On April Fool's, I changed it to EagleR0x0rz. That's basically the idea.

These are two big ones that I would really like to start over. My first few months on NG I missed out on b/p and depositing. I did not do either of them really at all because I did not fully understand the process. It would be nice to be able to start an account off the right way. B/P and level the way I would like to. I regret starting this one off that way, but I cannot make up for lost time.

I do not think you are venturing down the wrong path there. There probably are more good alts than bad and there is no reason for one to spoil it for all. I have seen things like that happen far too much. I guess there are more benifits than i realized.

That was what I was trying to get across. Like the news, where only death and destruction get publicity, the bad alts are the ones everyone hears about. Similar to plane crashes...we hear about one big crash every now and then, but we are ignorant to the thousands and thousands of safe landings that happen daily.

I guess my biggest concern is that i will not be able to put in as much time as I would like to an ALT. The B/P and the depositing would not be too much trouble, but I know the forums and clubs would be quite difficult to keep up. I seem to have trouble keeping up with the forums now. I may just make one. i had considered starting it on the anniversary of my account now. 7/20/06 will be my one year anniversary. I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens. If you're going to put time into an alt, I'd hold off until you are ready. On the other hand, as name-holding fodder, you don't need ANY extra time whatsoever. My alt stays at level 1 and has only 6 B/P (all 6 of which were a mistake...:-/). However, do as you will. Posting with your alt might also be a good way to get your PPD up if you wanted to switch to posting with that. Whatever you do with it, have fun!

As a member, as a B/Per, as my personal competitor he is a success, I'm just fine with him becoming an officer, just name his work and I'll include him in the FAQ.

Yes, but it did bother me. The officer positions are really there not only to server a role in the Barracks, but also to recognize contributions to the Barracks. I change officer positions ocne the work is shifted so that I can honor those that contribue there in certain ways.
