You need to vote on the Under Judgement section of the portal. Just play 'the teacher grading assignments'; if something is 10 seconds long with no audio and/or little to no animation, give it a 0/5. If it's a game completely lacking development effort, give it a 0. Everything else can be given a 2/5 or higher, either way, you decide. There's also a few things that are stolen, inappropriately rated according to well known guidelines, or contain copyrighted content, so report them by flagging. Here's a tip: keep an eye out for things that we report here, and flag away. Once you've voted on hundreds of Under Judgement submissions, and properly reported about a hundred others (I think?) you can draft yourself. Also, this goes without saying but don't troll.
I believe that completely covers just about everything.

all of that really boils down to these two principles:
- we encourage fair voting on every submission
- we desire to protect the portal from individuals that would pollute or disrespect the portal with nonoriginal content or things that break these rules: Movie rules, Game rules
there are other rules of course, but if you follow those 2 principles you are a shoo-in for having a bunk around here

For semi-decent crap, or even higher quality stuff, vote 2-5.
