The real explanation is that in 2018 yahoo bought tumblr and almost immediately banned porn from their platform. A lot of those furry artists used tumblr as their portfolio and found Newgrounds as a pretty good replacement, with one caveat - everyone gets to see your creations when they come through the portal. That period of time was **educational** for a lot of us.

In the past 10 years I've automated the process of stat management and combined the features of stat logging, monthly reports and monitoring NewGrounds for new submissions all into one site: NGLogs. My question of the day to everyone is: do you feel awkward voting on the porn submissions? I know I'm a fully grown adult and it should be fine, but some of the things I see coming through here are big awkward. I'm not into furry stuff but I also can appreciate the talent it takes to make 3D animations. I realize I could simply turn off the adult content, but then I wouldn't really be doing my job in voting.


I usually don't watch porn as it stands, as it does nothing for me. However, I generally am alone when I am working, and there are no little kids around, so I don't worry about NSFW content being accidently seen by those who shouldn't see it. I try to review them at the artistic level, but anything that could be under-age, too violent or excessive bestiality usually gets a thumbs down from me. Nicely done hand drawn work tends to fare better than the goofy 3-D modelling some script kiddy will dump out, but again, it's subjective.


If you are not comfortable viewing them, then by all means, filter them out. You are never pressured here to do anything you don't want to do.
