As one civil adult to another, I thank you for your understanding as well. These past few months have been very taxing on me, and I was venting my frustrations here in the forum. I apologize to all of you for that, as this is not the place to really argue politics. We can all agree that we're going through some tough times right now, and that there's a lot of division and alienation in our country for many reasons. No one is comfortable and no one knows when its going to end.

I've given it a lot of thought, and realized that instead of getting angry about this, I need to do something about it. Instead of complaining about the division, let me do something to help heal it. Instead of worrying about myself, put myself in someone else's shoes. But most importantly, I can take charge of my decisions and not play the role of a victim.

I am glad you called me out on this, my friend. It made me stop and think and really evaluate what is important, and what really matters. You and I have differing political views, and so be it. But politics be damned - as the CBO here, I need to stay focused on keeping us together and provide a unified front as we help support Newgrounds in our assigned tasks. I don't want to be part of the problem - I am going to be part of the solution. That solution is NOT about taking sides, but rather treating everyone with respect, and being a good person to all - to lead by example, and stop complaining. The only thing we should be battling here are the crap submissions that don't belong here in the first place.

People have been making accounts like @theodds1isout for years. It's never the real TheOdd1sOut (though one of these days I hope it will be). And I have a slight feeling that @superteddyfils wasn't actually involved in the creation of the above animations!

I have the feeling that i have seen this before. Can anybody confirm that is from another author?

What's the harm in posting it?

I think it's better to focus on posting more recent submissions or stuff that is just plain recordings, stolen, copyrighted, hate speech (you know, all that bad stuff) rather than submissions uploaded nearly two decades ago just for an improper content rating.

What rule does it break? Just becuse it makes you uncomfortable doesn't mean it needs to go.

Why is live action not allowed?

Newgrounds is geared primarily toward animation. Some (very rare) live action content is allowed but only if it's a high quality short film with mixed media / good special effects. What's not allowed is cheap, youtube style content you could churn out on a daily basis, otherwise that would likely flood the portals and animation would be booted into yesteryear.

Thought this was a really good fan animation for about 1.9 seconds before realizing it's actually just a real episode of Steven Universe with a fucked aspect ratio.

It took me 37.4 seconds to remove it. :3

_Barracks Roster as of November 1st, 2020:_

Happy Halloween / Day of The Dead! Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend, and any demons that came your way were only the invited ones.

I had a little demon glitch my roster program this morning - everyone's post counts dropped to zero! Took me a little while to figure out that about 20 pages of posts were deleted recently from this forum since last month, so the current page post counter in the program was looking to start on page 1745, when we actually had 1725. The program scans sequentially from the last known page to the current page, but in this case, that was too large, so no loop occurred. I had to manually reset the current page counter and re-poll the roster - and now, we're okay.

So, can anyone tell me what happened to all of those posts? All I can think of is that Newgrounds deleted a few crap accounts and all of the posts that they made, which shifted things around a bit. Just curious as to what happened.

Anyways, October was a fairly busy month here in the Barracks. Our resident BP machine EGSC @Guthrie is still hammering out 2K+ per month. It's amazing what you can do on 3 hours of sleep and 12 cups of coffee per day! We appreciate the effort, but maybe you're due for some R & R soon? Well done! *Salutes*

Alongside him is EGSC @Exedor, who had a very active month in the portal. He was on top of a lot of messages, keeping things going and keeping it real. Thank you for that. *Salutes*

You have the rank and participate but to my recollection have not applied or been accepted onto the roster.

That's part of it but NekoMika had also removed some older spammy posts from the thread, which I think she said was nearly 2 pages worth.

While I can appreciate your enthusiasm and assistance in this forum, there is a formal process to follow in becoming a member of the Elite Guard Barracks. This process includes your reading and understanding the rules and manifesto of the Elite Guard, followed by a formal review of your account and posting history by the senior officers. If you pass that review, a vote and open review is held for all members; if there are no major objections, then you'll become an official member.
