I agree with all of this. I'm not really opposed to NSFW content myself, but I can no longer comfortably browse UJ if someone else is in the room and would currently hesitate to recommend the site to anyone who hasn't already seen some shit. NG becoming an NSFW haven would be cool in a way but I don't think that's the site Tom or any of the big contributors wanted NG to be.
I think the obvious solution is just to filter it out, like Trickster suggested, but keep it easily viewable even if you're not logged in. Maintaining creator freedom and opposing censorship is something NG has been good for in the past and it's a more valuable stance today than ever before.
