Even if it were one of the things i named, we would only be able to flag it if the same uploader submitted a bunch of them, thus making it spam. They just get blammed if they're random, you know.

Are you serious? Where the fuck were you when Numa Numa was blowing up the internet? Remember that started here.
Lots of low effort submissions are simple live action (e.g. a kid walking around their house screaming into a camera). Even these don't warrant a flag in most cases unless they're blatant spam or not the original creation of the author. We have, however, seen a lot of high quality non animation submissions lately. I suggest you read up on the submission guidelines again.

Barracks Roster as of December 1st, 2018:
Sorry about the minor delay in publishing the roster - spent most of this weekend doing the Christmas decorating thing with the family. Unlike many people I know who start right after Halloween, I am old school and wait until after Thanksgiving to dig out the countless boxes of decorations, pull down the tree from the attic, and relocate everything in my place to make room for a 7ft. artificial tree and festive nik-naks that cover every available open flat surface.
But it's also one of the better times of the year; despite a few hardships and mishaps, my family manages to see past the bullcrap, come together, and actually manages to get along for a while. Watching the wonder on my nieces and nephews faces as they see their homes transformed into something magical makes it all worth while. For as cranky and cynical that I can be, it does feel good to make other people - especially kids - happy. I know, we should do this each and every day, but real life gets in the way sometimes, and we forget our priorities. This time of the year brings us back into balance and reminds us how we should be - and that it's never too late to stop and do the right thing.
It is also a time to reflect on one's blessings (or, for those of you not of a religious ilk, one's good fortunes). I have a place to live, food in my fridge, a job I love, and a family that stands behind me. I have many things to be thankful for; when someone asks what I'd like for Christmas, I can honestly tell them that there's nothing material that I want, because I already have all the gifts I need - and none of them can be bought or put in a box with a bow.
Along that line, one of the gifts I have is this place, with all you fine folks in the Barracks. In real life, we're just a bunch of people logged into a website, communicating by forum messages and PMs. But together, we are more than that - all of you stand up for what you believe in, and take time out of your day to help keep this place safe and balanced. That speaks a lot about you; to volunteer your time to do good things tells me that I am surrounded by people with good hearts and selfless souls. They say you judge a person by the company they keep, and with all of you around me, I know that will always be favorable.
So, to all of the members of the EGB, past, present and future, I thank you for being a positive part of my life, and for sharing your good will with Newgrounds. I wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, or whatever you celebrate this time of year - and may this season return your good deeds sevenfold!

Oops, looks like a glitch in the post count scanner. It should have counted all the times you've posted in the EGB forums in the past month. In fact, it looks like EVERYONE is off. Must have been a change to some underlying HTML and the screen data scraper is missing things. I'll patch that up before the next roster. Thank you for the heads up.

What do we do about improperly rated submissions? This should definitely be rated A and I'm sure it's rated M because the author doesn't know the criterion for rating submissions here.

I guess my question was mostly about what happens after that particular flag. Does it result in a change of the rating? Or does it work like the other categories of flag and get removed from the portal?

Removal is only 1 option. Basically, you can flag anything for any reason. We go and take action necessary, whatever the flag or report happens to be.

Thanks! As far as how long things take, much as we love seeing big numbers its never the best idea to compare to others. Your name change sums up your strength: you take the time to give great feedback to artists, which in the long run has way more benefit to their development than getting a score from 0-5 assigned by 200 internet weirdos.
On the topic of stats, I’ll be in low-effort mode for the next week-ish (exp deposits only) as I’ll be working 16 hour days, and I’m low on data. @GUTHRIE will likely regain his top spot this month considering how close we were this round.
I’ll be settled later in the month. In case people take off, I wish everyone a Blessed Yule, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukka, or Acceptable Festivus. If you have the ability, try taking some time with family and friends or maybe do something for your home community. Even handing out candy canes to random people and saying hey can make a world of difference to someone in need.

Even more impressive than the number of submissions is the quality. I'm sure the vast majority of them are really good and definitely will pass judgement, which is a huge change from the Portal of old when it routinely had >75 submissions under judgement and they were almost all garbage.
The combination of LD43 and the Tumblr migration is really interesting. Hopefully we can keep up!
It took me forever to go through the portal this morning. I was never great at finding stolen submissions, but I took the time to go through and vote on everything. I'll probably have more B/P this week than I've had the entirety of last month.
I had been working on my blam/save ratio, but these submissions were mostly of good quality so that'll go out the window. :P

Y'know the game "Orange Roulette"? Seems that whenever you meet a medal criteria now, the game just freezes. That's most notable in the Iron Orange mode, which I think is where most medals can be earned.
This started happening completely at random too, because as I started playing it was pretty seamless! Also seems I'm not the only one having that problem...

Oh yeah, if you suspect someone of stealing art from another source. Just report it, and put a link and explain in the description and one of the mods will look into it. We'll keep an eye out, too.

It's an error that keeps popping up. You'll notice that all the entries have the same ID number, if you put your cursor over them. It's not anything the author did, so no need to flag them. @liljim has been working on a fix for this.

Actually, no. You can just flag them via the flag button, just above the image. We're pretty good at policing that regularly. The art has been removed. :)
