I'm not sure I follow. Why should this be removed, especially when there are at least two dozen other Mario games on Newgrounds? Why haven't those been removed yet?
Besides, Nintendo doesn't care about fan games, as long as they don't "diminish the dignity" of the copyright. Removing it won't "keep those Nintendo guys happy," because they don't care.

There's been no site update since September of 2012, so I don't think he's trying to resurrect his site all of a sudden on Newgrounds.
