Oh dear lord that was worse than fred. *dabs blood out of ears* Once a jonas brothers flash made it thru because it was one of those games2rule games. I think (and it is just my guess) that since they seem to be a site they have sock puppet accts vote for them and since ppl don;t vote fair (lol stat whores) they will 2 it for a save point.
It's a sign of the times when a spam flash with the caption "Enjoy the free save point" passes through the portal.

I noticed that The Lock Legion has submitted some good quality flash, I know they not be as well know as the Clock Crew but I still like seeing there stuff in the portal. The author comments that he has 'recompiled' the original game into the one he submitted to the Portal. I have seen the original elsewhere on the Internet and I am certain that the only thing he changed was the character's head, although I am unsure of its copyright status. Because most games submitted to Flash sites are not protected under copyright, I am somewhat unsure what the protocol is for a submission that is essentially a re-skin of another game. Still, he did not program or draw more than 90% of the game, so I would consider it stolen.

While we can certainly appreciate your enthusiasm, you are still a bit away from our minimal requirements. You need at least a bronze whistle, which shows that you have a basic understanding of properly flagging inappropriate / rule breaking flashes and / or reviews. Your Blam/Save ratio is high (over 3) which in itself isn't a deal breaker, but does prompt me to remind you that we all need to vote fairly on flashes - we're not in this for just points. It is hard to pick up blams these days, as many NG users vote 5 just for stats. Our job here is to keep the balance and be fair.
On the other side, I am intrigued by all of your audio knowledge and work, and you sound (pun intended) like someone who would add more character to our humble barracks.
So, work on that whistle and see if you can squeeze out a few more blams, and hopefully soon you can formally apply while meeting our entry qualifications. If you need help in working on your whistle, our Portal Violations officer SlntCobra1 will be more than happy to show you the way. He is very talented in identifying rule-breaking flash and reviews, and can teach you to do the same. (I learned from him as well, and now I have a deity whistle!). You can PM him with your questions, and I'm sure he'll be answering you right away.

Actually it isn't as hard as you think it is to get blam points. You just got watch the movie and vote correctly. That is the main reason why so many people have B/P ratio's like That Toocool user except he does that by choice. I myself have gotten over 150 blam point in the past 2-3 weeks so this is proof that they are out there.
Seeing the portal in such a state almost make me want to rejoin the barracks myself, but I feel my free time will soon be gone as I will be traveling all over the place for my job and won't have the time I have now.
On an unrelated note I just got flagged the dumbest user's flash yet. He actually tried to post snake joins the brawl from Super smash brother's brawl as his own work. I would have posted it if it didn't get marked for review.

First of all, I think it's stolen because he's 15. I know it's possible for somebody as young as that to make a good flash, but that's submission looks rather professional. I very much doubt a 15 year old made that flash submission.
Second of all, the thing that usually makes it very obvious that a flash submission is stolen is the fact that it has white bars on the side. You'd think the author would make it look good on whatever site they're submitting it on.
And third of all, and this is the major thing, is that Fog (the creators of that game) has an NG account. Why wouldn't it be submitted there?

That is easy. It is because sometimes the Admins do always put what people think should be on the front page on it. One of the biggest examples of this was when one of the Admins put the gayest showdown on the front page. Since it mocked the ultimate showdown people left bad reviews on that one for over 100 pages.
Overall it means that some people don't always agree with what the Admins put on the front page. But then again if this wasn't so then we wouldn't be human now would we?
