I do apologise about that whole thing. I didn't mean to miss the roster, it wasn't necessarily the fact that I missed it, it's just I got so caught up in my own life and it's troubles that I stayed at a friends house because I really didn't want to go home because I needed to clear my head, everything is fine now though.... Or at least... Getting there. I hope.

No worries, from the looks of it I think you can safely say no one cares whether it is late or not because real life does come first. I take it you having pre-exam stress aswell as this? That must be bad, maybe you should ask someone to cover the roster for you until the summer if it is just adding to your stress, might be for the better, even with Bytes new list generator, it probably will stress you out just getting to a computer.

Thank you to you guys for being so understanding. I apologise, I will try not make it happen again.

Don't kick yourself, it's fiiiiine.

Enjoy!

I just might.

You missed my promotion, but at least I'll have a promotion next month and hopefully the month after that. Congrats to everyone else.

Entering The List::
No new members this month.

Welcome! Welcome!

Leaving The Barracks::
No members retired this month.

Farewell, dear brethren.

The List:
No. B/P / Gain / Average / Change / Username
10) 32,602 | 0,338 | 11.27 | -017.16 | Fro Sup. Commander
11) 27,792 | 0,081 | 02.70 | -006.90 | idiot-buster Commander

13) 20,430 | 0,276 | 09.20 | +002.99 | RohantheBarbarian Brig. General

I'll probably have to gain 10-12k more B/P just to get into the top ten D:
Though I'm pretty happy with my pace, and I best get comfy, I'll probably be number 12 for a few months.

Top 5 Gainers::
byteslinger - 2,130
Coop83 - 1,112
DumbassDude - 992
Ismael92 - 960
Sushi13 - 933

I beat my nemesis, Sushi, once again, but at the cost of being over taken on the NG GamerScore Leaderboard. I'll overtake him, I guarantee it.

Top gainers, repeat appearances::
byteslinger (16)
Coop83 (15)
Sushi13 (3)
Ismael92 (2)
DumbassDude (2)

Wow, first time on this list since early 2009.

Cheers :)

Hi, everyone!

Just wanted to clarify some details about the EGB roster generator, since some minor discrepancies seemed to have crept in:

- The roster information is updated once a day, sometime between 1 AM and 5AM EST (NY time). it is an approximate range, as it is tied to a process on NG logs that is triggered once a day, but based on the FIRST user who accesses NG logs after 1AM.

- The roster month officially rolls over at 8AM on the 1st of the month, so the information in the monthly records are captured as close to midnight as possible

- Since Lizz did the copy/paste from the EGB site, he presented (and rightfully so) the snapshot as of 6AM, 5/1/2010. Yes, it did NOT pick up D-A-D's promotion, since it hadn't happened yet. But if you go to the site now, and look at the dropdown for WIP (today) - you'll see it's there.

- I know that there were corrections to some stats for last month (like Coop83's), but they may not have hit the data records I created. However, now that the data is being captured live daily every morning, those little errors will be eliminated.

- Remember, this is just a stat tool (from your favorite stat whore) to help out with the mechanics of the roster; Lizz still maintains the roster list, and adds his human touch as only he can. However, if he apologizes any more about being 10 seconds late with the roster, I'm going to have to e-slap him upside his head! It's all good, Lizz - stop being so hard on yourself!

Hopefully, this will clear things up a bit - and I'm glad everyone likes it...

*starts thinking of her next project that brings her closer to world domination* Hehehe...

Where did my will to B/P go...?

Seeing this post made me thing about while I was on the NGPD. My personal record is 454 in a week. While I was on there, I was always the top gainer (which got me a permanent place on this list). Reading some old posts in the NGPD thread made my feel nostalgic. I remember being childish and having fun while being helpful. I had a great time on the NGPD, and in the end I got the last laugh.

Leaving was surely sad :(

My pace dropped a lot when I joined the EGB, but now it feels great to be back in the game, even if I still don't get as many B/P per day as I did before.

Maybe I'm just a lazy fuck (<= most likely answer, come to think of it). Maybe the long spaces between B/P ranks has put me off being so active about it. Maybe the monthly roster wasn't as much fun to be competitive about as the NGPD's weekly one. Or maybe all of them, I really don't know. :(

Maybe it's just that you're not as motivated as you were before, and there's nothing wrong with that. I don't think ranks are a problem (or maybe it's just that getting higher ranks was never a motivation for me while I was on the NGPD. While I was on there, I always said that the downside of having such an impressive pace was that I would have to leave the NGPD soon). Or maybe it's just the roster. It used to be weekly a lot of time ago (before I joined up), but then it started being monthly because the records officer (Coop83) hadn't enough time. Then I became the records officer, and I just kept doing it monthly.

Suspect Flash Alert

What do y'all make of this? The guy who submitted it says he got it from youtube and the guy who made it gave him the full go-ahead to put it here. I'm skeptical on this one.

I'm also going to post this in the NGPD.

Now we work for long hours in front of a screen and a box full of microchips...

As much as I love the way you work so hard without asking for anything in return, I can't see how this will make you dominate the world. Good luck with that, by the way!

Scene: a darkened office, only lit by numerous computer screens. Most are logged onto Newgrounds, but others are logged into various international news sources. A shadowy figure, obviously female by her silhouette, sits back in her black leather chair and watches as her plans unfold.

In her lap is a large black cat, with unearthly glowing yellow eyes. When the cat yawns, it shows a set of metal fangs that it was obviously not born with. They match the metal claws in her paws, permanently sharpened, exceedingly deadly. The cat purrs contentedly, as if it has not a care in the world.

The figure leans forward to continue work on a program, and the screen is reflected in her green eyes. Like all of the antagonists in all of the grade-b spy movies she's seen, she begins her monologue about her evil plans...

"It is so simple, it's scary. So many young, impressionable minds visit Newgrounds every day. Kids from all over the planet watching flashes, voting for points, and collecting stats. Kids who's parents range from trash collectors to government officials - and all waiting to be used.

First, I take over a few important stat sources, like NG Logs and the EGB roster. Later, the NGPD and maybe the top 300 ranks. Everyone thinks it's a simple act of kindness. It is - but it's a whole lot more.

All those stats are channeled through my own server, presented to the silly stat-whores in a nice, happy package. But what they don't know is that every screen generates subliminal messages, slowly eroding the reader's will. After enough visits, they will have been subconsciously changed into my minions, and with the correct trigger words, do my bidding without question or failure.

They will first send me all personal information about their families, so I can see who to use as leverage in my plans. Then, when the most promising sources have been identified, I will instruct them to have their parents visit other innocuous sites of my design - and make them my mind-zombies as well over a period of a few months.

Within a year, I will be able to control the government of any country, and the leaders of all of the military forces on the planet. I will be able to shape the economy to my whim, and eventually, unite all countries to elect me Queen of the World. World domination will be mine! Muahahahahaha!"

* Focus back to cats eyes, and then fade to black...*

(It's got a few kinks to work out, but that's the general plan...hehehe)

I don't know about y'all, but, have any of the flash, audio, or art reviews y'all have done, have they ever been showing anything of the following sort:

1. There's some debate, but overall people think this is a useless review.
2. People think this is a useless review.
3. People aren't in agreement over whether this is helpful or not.

I really find that irritating. I try to offer as much as I can, but everyone's a damn critic. :(

Happens to me quite a bit. But that's because we're expecting rational thought from young, emotional minds that have the attention span of a tse-tse fly. They may be lousy critics, but they can be molded to be functional sycophants. Don't let them get to you, my friend. Never judge yourself by the views of those around you - just because they don't like what you say means they're right. The general populace seldom is.

Did you ever wonder what the difference was between "majority vote" and "mob rules"? Hint: there isn't any/ Just because a bunch of lemmings thinks it's a good idea to hurl their furry little bodies off a cliff doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.

Don't be a lemming! :)

Don't worry, some people are assholes and vote your review as useless because they don't agree with what you say. Unfortunately, many people don't use that system in the right way (so if they disagree with a helpful review, they'll say it's useless and if they like an abusive review they'll say it's helpful).

Oh, you silly Byte!

Although Sheizenhammer's post looked like an innocent request to be a part of your evil plan to take over the world, he was once again using his great ability to trick people using hidden and imperceptible messages. Because he is really an expert in subliminal messages. You see, if you write down what he said on a sheet of paper and fold it appropriately, the true message will be revealed. Of course, the average person is gullible and will not realize (or even suspect) that there's something fishy going on (but obviously I'm more intelligent than the average person). You fell for his trick, answering yes to his true question, and you didn't even realize that what seemed like an innocent emoticon ":P" was actually a way to mock you. Still don't get it? Look at the picture at the end of this post.

Obviously, your legion needs someone like me: You need someone to de-codify all these secret messages or else your subconscious mind will be constantly affected by these things which can end up destroying you. Hire me, I assure you that you won't regret it!

Oh, Ismael, don't you see? I let Sheiz say that. What good is a minion if they know they are one? He, like yourself, are already part of my plan. You think you're still on the outside, looking in - but in reality, you've already joined the inner circle.

I planted the suggestions to you all to come to this forum and ask if you could join or help. This helps to lure others into my net. You make fine minions - young, intelligent, believable - all the qualities that attract others like you here. Soon, others will ask to join, and the process will continue and spread.

Don't think of it as mind control, because it's not. I can't force you to do something you're morally against. Fortunately, not too many of you around here have deep morals, so you're all like silly putty in my hand.

I predict the next thing you'll do is argue vehemently that you are not under my control, and that no one tells you what to do...

... which is exactly what I told you to do.... hehehe.....

With reviews when I write them I do get them marked as useless or helpful. The one I did back in February was I thought was constructive criticism, for this The Only Thing I Know. I only gave it a 1 out of 10 but I did try to explain why I did not like it. The review got marked as useless right away. But I find that writing for flash reviews can be very rewarding ,it does not matter really what people mark it as. Still I get annoyed.

Off Topic thanks for the Roster Lizzardis good work as always.

Well back in 2001 I only discovered NG after 9/11. I knew the forums existed, but I never bothered to actually sign up as I wasn't 13 at the time. According to the date it was originally posted, I wasn't even 11. I was still 10. I wouldn't be 11 for another 6 months and 29 days.

Man, I feel so left out. :(

Anyway, anyone seen this yet?

It's so stupid it's funny. Though having listened to the actual Lady Gaga song, eh, it's still good. Though it's extremely hypnotic. It's like a friggin' POISON it's that hypnotic! o_0

waits patiently for the Hypno Toad jokes to start rolling in.
