Remove all portal buddies to be safe, the submission window lets you choose co-authors based on the buddy list alone.

Well I had to work all week so while the drop in B/P rate is no surprise it's still disappointing... I am truly disappointed with myself... But no school vacations till March for me unless I break a body part or something...

Hey, DoD was just trying to help out, don't jump down his throat for it. I don't want to get into an argument, but maybe you are right. I mean, its not that hard to explain to someone everytime, and i doubt they any new recruits actually will read your post dream. Why not put something in your sig telling the rules? Thats what I did with the ngpd, because I was tired explaining our rules everytime a new member came.

I was not talking about him, my post applies to all the people who do not have a minium of 1500 points but want to join us. Believe it or not, most of those people will click on the current page number directly iinstead of checking the rules on page 1. So it is a must for me to remind them. :P

You must remember, though, that people that aren't in the Elite Guard are allowed to post here. Just because they can't be member doesn't mean they are locked out from our Barracks. Remember the open-door policy we have...we welcome all those that have vested interest in the Portal.

That's what I thought, see when someone comes in and it's important enough for someone to respond to (i.e ask for help, ask for alliance) we don't need 6 or 7 people responding to him with basically the same message.

EagleRock make a final response which was basically that wait for your club to prove it's worthy of staying on the bbs and not getting locked THEN we'll start talking about making an alliance.

Later DoD posts a reminder for everyone who wants to join to read the first page, he was just stateing the obvious. No help to nobody.

I agree. It actually upset me a bit that I specifically said we are not an ally until the thread cleared by mods (which I knew it wouldn't), yet everyone was saying otherwise. I knew that thread would get locked, yet everyone said okay anyway. Also, Ramagi said in that thread that if copycat threads like this keep popping up, similar threads would have problems as well. That includes us.

NOBODY condones these threads without mods clearing them beforehand. I don't want this place to get locked because people say yes to alliances I didn't agree to. Comprende?

I don't meant to be short with everyone, but I can tell Ramagi isn't too happy with these copycat threads, nor the NGPD, nor the Barracks. At this point, I feel like the Barracks are in jeopardy because of actions like this. I am planning on e-mailing Ramagi to talk with her about the situation. PLEASE no more condoning of these clubs until a mod actually lets the club live.

Both are blammed, and had no real chance of passing, anyway. It's okay, lol. Fileswaps typically start out as good flash then are switched with crap, not start as crap and get even crappier.

No clue. Some people in the firefox forums said it was an extention problem. I dont have any extentions, so that isnt the case. I'm just wishing I had kept my old version of firefox until all the bugs got fixed...

I keep myself clean of any clubs that are before mod inspection or ones I'm not interested with... But about copycats, if Ramagi decides we are the source of the problem and dumb clubs then if I'm not there tell her at least 15 anti and gangster clubs were formed because of the mafia and all locked or kept quite not to be posted in... True, the mafia was locked once long ago but it was unlocked so there is no reason to blame the barracks especially with the high level of posts we maintain...

You got shafted man... I use nice ole' IE... I had Opera once but it was a trial version with a similar problem in space... I stick to IE... I'm used to it by now and like working with it, updates will keep coming but I still like working even without tabs and stuff.

Actually, I fixed my problem. I uninstalled 1.5, and found a download for 1.0.7 (what i had before). Im happy with status quo. Maybe when they work out all the bugs, I'll try again...

You know? Inspired by your post I just got firefox 1.5 and Guess what? I like it... The speed is nice and I'll get used to the interface quickly... Screw windows and their over-priced work... firefox ain't bad...

I just recently quit my duty as a NGPD officer, due to some of it's members actions and plans, and I don't think I will go back until they start going the other way. But I still want to become a member of the Barracks whenever I reach my first EG rank, and I was wondering if I could still join no matter if I wasn't a NGPD member at the time of my request. I will await patiently for my answer.

You could always break my stand, my hands are getting tired and if I stand at attention another minute longer I will faint.

You left honorably, and being a member of the NGPD is not a requirement. You most certainly can join the Barracks once you reach Private, my friend.
The NGPD is going through hard times, and I hope it can hold itself together long enough to repair itself before a potential lock. I understand not wanting to be a part of a near-lock club (although I will always support the NGPD).
So yes, don't worry, you quitting does not affect your future membership in the Barracks. Good luck in reaching Private, and good hunting! :salute:

Thank you, sir. Getting an assurance from the Recruitment Officer himself pushes me even more towards a Barracks spot. I know that you along with most of the Elite Guards support the NGPD, but I felt it was then the right time to leave, even if it is for a short while.

I just did and it took me around 3 minutes. ( Find the download page ( 20 seconds, download , 30 seconds, Get used to it , about 2 minutes ).
