Looks like I'm getting my new rank by tomorrow...well today and I'll most likely submit a audio later today and I would like it if you all vote and review it (good or bad).

DEFCON Update:

The Portal has no signs of slowing down, causing the DEFCON to remain at DEFCON 3 overnight for the second night in a row. Quite the busy Portal for this time of the year!

Jeez...only about 130 here. I was out for many hours today and missed a whole bunch of flash. Oh well.

True, the mafia was locked once long ago but it was unlocked so there is no reason to blame the barracks especially with the high level of posts we maintain...

Yes, but if we keep playing along with these people that keep making these copycat clubs, it'll be a black mark on the Barracks. My point is not so much that we have a problem right now, but I want to stop it before it starts. Also, sir, I would like to thank you for your actions here.

At 2/5/06 01:31 AM, Fragment wrote: Lieutenant Fragment, reporting for duty, sir!

*salutes, stands at attention*

At ease, Police Lieutenant.

I just recently quit my duty as a NGPD officer, due to some of it's members actions and plans, and I don't think I will go back until they start going the other way. But I still want to become a member of the Barracks whenever I reach my first EG rank, and I was wondering if I could still join no matter if I wasn't a NGPD member at the time of my request. I will await patiently for my answer.

Well, Lieutenant, you have shown that you are not in accordance with the NGPD's current behavior patterns, which means a lot here. Since you are lacking a place to stay right now, please find a bunk in the Barracks that you find to your liking. You can stay here as long as you want until you either return to the NGPD or finish your Elite Guard training. While I cannot make you a member yet, I can authorize you to post here on a regular basis. Even though you are not a member, you are an official recruit here and call this place your home.

At 2/5/06 01:56 AM, Fragment wrote: Thank you, sir. Getting an assurance from the Recruitment Officer himself pushes me even more towards a Barracks spot. I know that you along with most of the Elite Guards support the NGPD, but I felt it was then the right time to leave, even if it is for a short while.

Surely an open invitation to stay here form the Chief Barracks Officer can help as well...

Thank you, Phantom, you know you can always count on me, and I know I can always count on you. I hope I reach my Private rank soon, and I promise you I will do my best as an EG. For now, good bye. I will see you soon, friends and officers.

You don't have to leave, Lieutenant, as I said earlier. Having a good potential recruit like you hang around will be a good thing. However, do as you wish.

I request permission to break stance, sir. *legs shake uncontrollably*

I said at ease, Lieutenant! Break that stance before you faint, recruit!

Thank you, Chief Barracks Officer, sir. It boosts my confidence (although many people have said that it is too high alread) knowing that I'll be a full-time EG soon enough. If you could be so kind as to explain to me why my opinion is so important here, I would appreciate it, sir. Sadly, as of now I don't see a future with me and the NGPD, much less the NGPD as a whole at all. I really do hope they change their ways. I will make my stay here enjoyable and important, I'll be giving my complete best to qualify as a member and as a friend to you all.

Surely an open invitation to stay here form the Chief Barracks Officer can help as well...

Very much, sir. The respectable and friendly welcome I received fortify my beliefs of this being a great club even more. I thank you for your time and your concern.

I've decided to join the other Trainees and call this place home (although I already live in an extravagant and heavily-fortified mansion already :-), and give my complete potential to becoming a great Elite Guard, and a NG member.

Sir, yes, sir! *swoons*

I think I should go to my bunk, sir, if you don't mind. I feel quite dizzy and weak.

How dare you, every one here has a voice and a voice to be heard, plus you are once of the few active cross club members. Like me, Red, K-Pingu and _TheFallenOne_. You with me have knowledge of all 3 clubs. Even more so because you were a part of the NGPD which I wasn't because by the time it opened I was no where near their levels... Your voice has plenty of power, just like any one else.

I promoted to EGSS when I became a level 10 user. What am saying is that as long as you b/p every day, you will get your promotion soon. I am positive that you gained more than 100 points yesterday which would give your weekly average a huge lift. I just read through EGPC K-Pingu's post at NGPD, it was so touching that I feel like crying right now. (Yea, I am emotional.) :'( I certainly hope that NGPD can survive the disease of spamming. If it is locked one day by a mod, (probably by Evark, he locks and bans people a lot more often those the other mods.) I will be very sad too. But there is a realistic question I want to ask. In case the mishap inevitably happens some day. What do we do to the NG police? If NGPD is locked, they will all be dismissed. Eagle, I am sorry to be negative, but we have to do something to save the police if their thread will not survive. :( What should we do?

DEFCON Update:

The Portal has finally decided to wane its surge of entrants. The DEFCON is being reduced to DEFCON 4 for the rest of the night. Expect it to go back up right away come morning.

When did I say your opinion was "so important here?" If you're referring to when I said "that means a lot," I was referring to your decision to leave the NGPD. I mean it means a lot for you to have left the group in its current state rather than just stick around and watch it die. I would normally say, "Why didn't you try to fix it?" but in the case of the NGPD, I understand. Also, you did make an attempt at that.

Very much, sir. The respectable and friendly welcome I received fortify my beliefs of this being a great club even more. I thank you for your time and your concern.

I thank you for the kind words to our Barracks. It means that we're doing something right.

I've decided to join the other Trainees and call this place home (although I already live in an extravagant and heavily-fortified mansion already :-), and give my complete potential to becoming a great Elite Guard, and a NG member.

Excellent. We shall see what happens tomorrow not only on the Portal but in the chaos that is the NGPD.

I think I should go to my bunk, sir, if you don't mind. I feel quite dizzy and weak.

As you wish.

Have you perchance viewed the forum in Mozilla Firefox? The logo doesn't show up in Firefox due to a bug that Forum City, USA is experiencing. I've already had conversations with the person running Forum City, USA, and he is attempting to fix it. Otherwise, I didn't change anything, and it still shows up in Microsoft IE.

The First Lieutenant was encouraging you in his post. I think he thought you didn't understand why we cared about what you say. Fact remains, anyone that has vested interest in the Portal (like yourself) is a friend to the Barracks, and their input is valuable. I wouldn't say you are more important than others when it comes to input, but it certainly isn't less important.

Well, I need to retire to the bunks myself, soldiers. Talk to you all tomorrow!

You know, Captain, there isn't much we CAN do at this point except plead with them. If I really wanted to, I could have taken over the NGPD HQ...but as you know, that is not my style. However, if the NGPD wanted me to take over, I would consider it. I'd hate to be so presumptuous that they would ask for me to do so in the first place, so I'm leaving it to pleading.

However, if you read my post, you may know that I'm done with the pleading. In the meantime, we just have to see what happens.

You are too used to the hierarchy of the mafia. People are a lot more equal here... I still hang out in the mafia but the people who run things aren't that active, same cannot be said about our founder... I'm telling you, if Strauss doesn't wrap it up and do something soon no way will I have reason to hang out in the mafia too much...

Haha, I barely notice the hierarchy. As you may or may have not noticed, I didn't want a Capo nomination, and I always have a say on who will join us, no matter what anyone else says. I also treat Ghost like an equal, for example, I would push him into a pool if I ever had the chance.

EagleRock, thank you for your kind words and wise advice. I could reply formally to you, but I'm getting tired of all this yelling in between the bunks, and Jenkins has fallen asleep (Oh, yes, what a comedian I am :-B). I'm going to retire now, I have an appointment tomorrow morning and a party in the evening that I don't want to miss.

Good night, to all of you having a night, and see you later to all of you that aren't.

Just like everyone else, I am very sorry to see that NGPD has gone the opposite direction which will lead to the eventual self destruction. I understand that you do not want to take over until they ask you to. The only way that I see to save NGPD from that miserable ending is to let K-Pingu back and retake the command since people there give him lots of respect. I know that he ranked out already, but he is the last hope to save the thread. I believe that he will probably have to take over again as the emergent commander of NGPD until a leader with similar level of abilities is found. Eagle, please allow him to go back and retake the command. The time that will decide the fate of the thread has come.

Congratz ghost, it will be a long long time from now when I get that badge. I'm not really sure when I will get the next badge, I don't have a very consistent b/p rate. Some days I really b/p alot, get like 70 points(thats good for me, I know its low compared to alot of yours), and some days I will maybe check the portal once and get like 10 b/p points. Oh well.

Yeah, for me, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I'l only be able to get around less than 20 B/P each day. Monday, Thursday, Friday, I get around 25 - 40 B/P each day and the weekends, around 100 B/P each day. There are things I do outside the house on Tuesdays and Wednesdays other than going to school.

Usually from 10-11 AM until 2-3 AM CST. Today I had internet problems and couldn't get on Newgrounds until noon, which sucks, but the portal was active last into last night, so hopefully that'll make up for what I lost. I doubt today will net as many points as yesterday.
Really, I'm happy when I get 120+, and satisfied if I get over 100.
