Congrats on your new role as Portal Violations Officer SlntCobra1, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did when I had that position. I know how well you flag stuff. About AIM I'm hoping to maybe sign up to it thought it may be a good idea. I had trouble with signing up it would not show the picture on the page plus I cant use my name its taken! Anyway I'm finding the it odd without the old blue color scheme got so used to it. This orange is weird. The new forums look good not that I would visit them much General seems to have slowed down because of it. Anyway getting out of garbage can seem slow but I flag and got out quite fast.

Do you have any alternate names? Like, I have Soulmaster (and its alternate form SoulMaster71, as I use here) as well as LordPentium. Oh, and the name Kylapharos, but he's actually a literary creation so it would be like JK Rowling calling herself Harry Potter except that I'm not as good a writer as she is.

Anyway I'm finding the it odd without the old blue color scheme got so used to it. This orange is weird.

I loved this year's Christmas/winter look, but to the classic gold I will always return in heart, which works because the site will also go back to gold.

The new forums look good not that I would visit them much General seems to have slowed down because of it.

Just as planned. Or if you'd rather, keikaku doori.

Anyway getting out of garbage can seem slow but I flag and got out quite fast.

I once did on an alt, though I don't suppose I was that far into the dump before I managed to climb out. It was only a day or two.

Well, I've made sure you're active on the forums, and the "Roster Guy" can handle the rest. You're all set!

Hehe. I always think of you saying the posts in a God like voice for some reason xD.

Hmm...God like voice, huh? I like that...what makes a Godlike voice though? Charlton Heston? :-)

We need to organize a day for that Eagle. I need a friend to back me up and cover me :P

If EagleRock does so happen to grant you membership again, I'm afraid you will have to be added as a *NEW* member. Of course for the whole fact of that you weren't on last months roster. Hopefully that shouldn't be a problem for you though :)

Nah, shouldn't be a problem. THat's the price of being inactive. You're always welcome back, but you lose a bit off statwhoriness. No big deal, really.

I can only apologize for my lack of activity lately. As I've said above... It seems my days of coming to NG to post all the time... Have quietly ended which is a shame. I still have a goal of getting 10K posts by the end of 2010... So hopefully my posts will increase and when I get my school stuff over and done with... MY motivation will increase.

Ehh, it happens. We'll be around to bug you if you slack off, though. :-P

Laddies, lol. Every time I heard the word "laddie" I think of The Wall by Pink Floyd.

Ah well, I do know an alternate IRC site. Michhimself.com/newgroundsirc

I have two channels set up:

#Violations & #EGB; in order to join one of the channels, you need to type "/join #Violations" or "/join #EGB" WITHOUT the quotation marks.

You know, XChat is released under the GPL, which means it started off free, and must always be offered free. You'll always find a free version, such as the one here. Let's just all go and use YOUR IRC...never mind the one I made myself and I host in my own home, never mind that now... Let's never mind that I'm just the FREAKIN CHIEF BARRACKS OFFICER... lol.

That IS fun!

Well, that's enough for one post I think... :-) I'm tired and I'm going to probably head off to bed soon. Hit me up on IM if you need me!

So, just let me know, and we'll get you started! And, please, for the love of GOD, do NOT quote this entire thing! :-)

That all sounds great to me. One thing though; when you're evaluating my flash reviews just bear in mind that over half of them are at least 6 years old and do not represent my current contributions to the Newgrounds community in any way. I know it sounds bad having a disclaimer in my application post but I thought it was worth pointing out. Otherwise I think you'll find me to be a decent member of the community.

Stolen Flash

Submitted to Kongregate by someone with a different name back in September 09. I don't believe it's on Newgrounds, although if he was to submit it here he wouldn't do it three months later under a different username.

That Kongregate game you just posted is the original "my pet protector", while this NG submission is "my pet protector generation II", which was submitted to Kongregate on January 22 (here it is, BTW). Since the game is sponsored by Kongregate, it's reasonable that the game was submitted to Newgrounds 6 days later.

In my opinion, it's not stolen.

Geez it's getting boring in here. I asked eagle a while ago how he was coming along on chapter 7 or Back In The Barracks, he said he's about 80-90% done with it. Byte, what about you?

As for me, I'm bouncing ideas back and forth on the AFF Forums for a bit of help in chapter 10 of my fic. Hey Slash, if you're reading this, could you offer me some help as well? NSFW.

Well, disclaimers are never good, but you need not worry about past posting history or review quality. We take things like that into consideration. It also helps show the ability of someone to mature over time. Want to see some immature posts? Look at my first 5-6 pages... :-)

No. More like the "Rise From Your Grave" sound from the game Altered Beast. Sorry about the link... It's the only music video I could find for the one that fit the purpose I was going for :\

Try being "The Computer Gal!" When I first show up, the general thought is that no woman could possibly be capable of extreme feats of geekiness. "Oh, this is broken really bad - think you can handle it?", as if I just dropped out of the sky and had never seen a computer before.

But, after a few minutes, when I've whipped out my 16GB USB drive, stuffed it in the server, then connect my laptop to their LAN, and without asking a soul manage to log into their administrator accounts, they tend to get real quiet real fast. You hear muffled voices muttering "How'd she do that? - YOU don't know how to do that..."

In the end, I have fixed what no man there could, and I have struck a blow for all the women geeks of the world. We may not be gorgeous, we may not wear expensive clothes or drive fancy cars - but if we wanted to, we could - on YOUR bank account! (hehehe)

And, of course, being the family geekina (that's a female geek, BTW), it is my job to maintain anything and everything that has a keyboard, keypad or computer chip in it. I even had one relative tell me "I read about all of these Internet Appliances - does that mean you can upgrade my kitchen TV so I can get to AOL?" (Yes, this REALLY did happen. No kidding.)

After a long facepalm and head shaking, I just walked away on that one. But every PC that crashes, or gets a virus, or throws a hard drive becomes my problem. And then they get miffed when you tell them that their 8 year old Gateway with 128MB of RAM and 20GB disk running a 800Mhz CPU just cannot be upgraded from Windows ME to run Windows 7.

It is a thankless job. And you can't charge your family for the work - which is why I'm trying to fill my time with paying clients. I feel your pain, EagleRock, I really do.

As for the burning, itching and nagging question of "when will I finish the next chapter", my plan is to do it this weekend. This is actually the first real "quiet" weekend I've had since New Years, and I look forward to relaxing a little, catching up on som B/P'ing, and finishing this chapter (I have 4 pages written so far).

And.. I think once I finish the ENTIRE story (no idea when that will be) I'll toss a link to it on the Writing Forums. If they have any writing contests, I might just throw in a few of my own, just for lulz.

Well, time to get back to work. Glad to see some old, familiar faces back in the barracks. Just like old times - minus the police escort!

In any male-dominated activity, profession, whatever, there's always that "I gotta prove myself" burden held up to the females of the group. It's sad, but true. Luckily, I've seen women actually come through (and usually go beyond what was necessary) to get the job done.

Even when I would go to West Point with my Boy Scout troop for the yearly competition down there, the Boy Scouts would usually scoff at the Girl Scouts competing side-by-side. Every year it was a Girl Scout troop that won, and 2 out of the top 3 troops were Girl Scouts. Yet, year after year, the Boy Scouts just laughed and underestmiated them. It was almost funny to watch.

But, after a few minutes, when I've whipped out my 16GB USB drive, stuffed it in the server, then connect my laptop to their LAN, and without asking a soul manage to log into their administrator accounts, they tend to get real quiet real fast. Ultimate Boot CD? :-)

I'd better check my bank account right away to make sure...let's see, the URL says "http://42.232.290.144/bankofamerica.com /login", that seems fine...

Now THAT I will believe. We need to swap more stupid end-user stories. I only had to work help desk for 7 months, but I have a lifetime of stupid stories saved up thanks to it. :-)

Anyone that can keep Windows ME running for THIS long deserves a medal. I think the longest I was able to keep Windows ME running without major failures on an hourly basis was roughly 2-3 months before reformatting was required. All I can say was Windows 2000 SP3 was a lifesaver...

It is a thankless job. And you can't charge your family for the work - which is why I'm trying to fill my time with paying clients. I feel your pain, EagleRock, I really do.

So I've gathered. I thought it'd be different in the corporate world, but it isn't. If everything runs swimmingly, they forget you. If all hell breaks loose, you're blamed for it going down and the fact that it took a "whole 2 hours" to rebuild an entire server from backup is considered a hassle. I think this is why I like working on my machine at home so much...when it gets done, it gets done, and my boss (me) always likes the results. :-)

And.. I think once I finish the ENTIRE story (no idea when that will be) I'll toss a link to it on the Writing Forums. If they have any writing contests, I might just throw in a few of my own, just for lulz.

I'll probably just wait for the Lit Portal myself...no sense in reposted what's already publicly available... :-)

It's a point of respect, but with the way that some people treat you around here, it's like I walk around with a target on my back.

Still, I'd recommend that you change your password - don't want to go losing people to this.

Same goes for everyone on here - keep passwords fresh, write them down and take them with you... or something. Chances are that these guys aren't going to mug you for them ;)

It must feel pretty bad to be underestimated just because you are a woman. But the satisfaction must be pretty good once you've proved them all wrong.

I even had one relative tell me "I read about all of these Internet Appliances - does that mean you can upgrade my kitchen TV so I can get to AOL?" (Yes, this REALLY did happen. No kidding.)

Haha. My sister's ex boyfriend works for an ADSL company and provides customer and tech support. He says he always receives all kind of stupid phone calls that have nothing to do with adsl or even computers, especially from old people. He always has to kindly explain to stupid clients who know nothing about computers that they are wrong. That must be pretty stressing.

If you have a strong password (numbers, lowercase and uppercase letters), then you shouldn't worry. But if you don't, then do what Coop said and change your password to something safer.

My vote was cast for Sushi this morning and I posted my thoughts. Other than that, my kitty had an appointment at the Vet this afternoon at . He's been dealing with Flea Saliva Dermatitis. That's the most common cause anyway, so the Dr. gave Slash (my cat, named after the former lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses) a shot of steroids and he has a hood on him to prevent him from licking. So the doc told us to come back in 2 weeks and if Slash is doing better, then she'll give him his vaccinations. If not, it's another round of steroids.

You know, it's not just him that tries to steal accounts. There's a few left around here that have yet to find something else to do with themselves. I've not seen Crebz for months either, and the fact that NG quickly went back exactly as it was before he showed up just goes to show that, no matter how hard or how long you troll NG for, within a week after you've left 99% of everyone here will have forgotten all about you. It's a total waste of time, even if you're pathetic enough to value e-notoriety.

Nah, but, as most of you probably know, TVTropes can be just as time consuming and life taking...

Also, would a submission like this be considered illegal, since it's displaying serial keys for licensed products? I think I'm going to go ahead and flag this one.

True story, TV Tropes ruined my last marking period of high school and my first semester of college, then got me thinking in its terms when I saw Avatar. Judging by the Codex descriptions of the Apple of Eden in Assassin's Creed 2, I'm wondering if TV Tropes isn't actually a Piece of Eden itself.

I've known users who posted fake "serial generators" that just put a series of random numbers, actually. Was it like that?

He is constantly changing the names of this flash. According to the reviews, it was ocne AronKong 2. A few days ago, he renamed it to a life in clocktopia episode to prevent me from submitting new episodes.

This guy is using his Clock Day 2009 flash and constantly renaming it and changing the author's comments.

I take that personally, little man. Last guy who called me a bitch got a busted nose.

I'm behind 7 proxies bitch. Do something. Haha. I'm just messing with ya. :p You busted somebodies nose for that though? Story time.

Did you serve your duty, or is this some sort of early release program?

Yeah, I'm getting out early. I was in an infantry job before and I messed up my hearing as a 50 cal gunner. I can still hear fine, but the doctors said I wasn't fit to deploy even though my whole unit was there saying I was ok. Whatever though. They tried giving me some desk job, but I had the option to get out since they stole my old job from me, and I decided to call it a career. :p

No phones, no lights, no motor cars - not a single luxury. Like Robinson Caruso, it's primitive as can be...

I'm working on building a wireless router out of a rock and a vine, but progress is hard to come by. :/ And I know who Robinson Crusoe is despite the misspell Coop. Haha. We read that shit in like 4th grade. Good book.

Nah, just kidding. Glad to see you back here again. Hope all is well there. Just keep an eye on your whistle - some sort of system glitch has got most of the stat-whores going through "Deity Withdrawal". I'm sure it'll be fixed (eventually)...

Haha. I bet Coop was on the verge of suicide. Mine is still silver so either it got fixed this week or it never messed up for me. Good deal.

In other news, have any of you guys ever been to Cracked.com? I'm addicted to that website.

I had heard of it before, but I didn't go to Cracked until you created the Cracked.com Reader's Club (I'm not a part of it, but I put the link in case anyone's interested). I thought that if some people at Newgrounds liked, it couldn't be bad, and now I go to that website nearly every day. Some articles are awesome.

And michelinman's post reminded me that I still have a normal whistle. I guess I'll have to get to deity again. It shouldn't be too hard, though.

I don't think that's technically breaking any rules, even though he's being a jackass. You're probably better off finding alternate ways around it. For example, if he names it "Life in Clocktopia #22", name yours "Life in Clocktopia Twenty-two" or something. Or hunting him down in real-life and castrating him, but that's much harder.

I was pretty much asking much snow y'all got over there, SCTE3. But, seeing as how you answered my question, there really is no need to ask it again.

Oh, you got the day off for some snow?!? I guess you're lucky. Up here in the North (next stop: Canada) we don't even consider it snow unless it's 16 inches or more. Guess that cold snap finally made Hell freeze over, huh? We didn't get any real accumulation here in Connecticut, but it's in the single digits by the water. I didn't know you could see polar bears in the Long Island Sound....

Hope you enjoyed your day off, Cobra. It was a nice surprise, I bet!

So, Cobra, how do you spend your snowdays? Outside or playing inside like me?

Last time I had a snowday, I just played this all day.
