I agree with this. As soon as I saw there was some talk about the story, I had to stop reading this thread because I had planned to read the second chapter soon. I mean, it's OK if we talk about the story, but at least lets try to keep it spoiler-free so that everyone can enjoy it :)

Did I or did I not mention matt as a possible victim here? I must be psychic... Or maybe I've just figured out all the tricks by now. Hi Pancakes, nice to see you. EagleRock posted the server info a couple of pages back. It's good if you want to have some fun, but since I live down here at South America I think I would have a lot of latency if I tried to join. I'm not that good at CS anyway (it's been a while since I stopped playing it regularly), even though I know that it really doesn't matter.

Anyway, I still think that I'll try getting online to that server to check if I have too much latency or not.

I think it'd be fun to hit up some CS...all skill levels welcome! We play CS Source, and the server name is chode.eagleworld.net. The server is pretty powerful and is on a good ISP, so it should be an enjoyable experience for all! While I am saddened that Krev is leaving the barracks, I don't think she's going to fall off the face of the earth and not keep in touch. I'll be checking in on her via PM and AIM and e-mail from time to time, just to make sure she's okay. As for my fanfic, I am currently writing chapter 3, and it will continue to the end. Just had a few business meetings these past days / evenings, and that's cut into my "free" time. Krev will still be "active" in my story, but in the end ...well, you'll just have to read it for yourself.

I can tell you this - even after the prologue and 3 longish chapters, I'm maybe 25-30% through the story. When it's finished, I'd like it to be worthy of the "lit portal" whenever that happens - and, of course, be a decent story for the EGB website.

There'll be more out this weekend, I promise. And Krev, if you're reading this, please remember that Lizz, Porkchop and I will be missing you, so don't disappear, ok? (unless you get sucked into a portal into an alternate universe!)

Since I don't want to linger on sad topics like Krev leaving, or boring topics like spam, I'm going to start a conversation.

So, being that this is my senior year of high school, I'm slacking off. I only have 2 classes this semester and I TA for another. That means that I get home by 12:30 every day. Which means that I don't have to eat a bagged lunch or cafeteria food anymore. Of course, that also means that I have to come home and be creative.

I'm starting to cook Rachel Ray's recipes.

And to tell you the truth, I think it's great. I get to cook, which is an invaluable skill later in life, and eat something relatively exciting everyday. Yesterday I had this scrambled egg sandwich, which was amazing.

Sure, I can only cook what I got around the house and substitute ingredients (a lot), but it's still great to do. Once I've secured and budgeted some money, I'm going to get some food for other recipes, like ground beef or, if I have a particularly large amount of money, some steak. The list is endless on what I can do.

Anyone else like to cook, or at least have a recipe that they like?

I can't say I like cooking, because I don't even know any recipe. I do cook for myself sometimes, but usually it's just basic stuff.

But yeah, being able too cook anything you want to can be great if you have everything necessary (ingredients, etc).

Take one porkchop (no, not our friend Porkchop, lmao) and cut it into pieces.
have your pan preheating get the eggs out of the fridge along with BULL'S-EYE bbq sauce and extra sharp cheddar cheese.

Once the pan is done heating up, put in the pork and season with salt and pepper.
Push the pork to one side of the pan and put some butter on the other side.
Crack the eggs open and then as soon as the white starts cooking, scramble the eggs.
When you've done that, put the eggs in a small bowl and then finish cooking the pork and after about 3-5 minutes, put on the bbq sauce.
Then cut the cheese and place that on the pork and allow to melt. When the cheese is melted, put the egg back in the pan and mix everything together. Add more cheese, and let cheese melt. Then when it is all good and cheesy, serve on bread with a spatula.

And there you have it, a pork, egg, and cheese sandwich.

Here's my recipe:

1 (18.25 oz) package chocolate cake mix
1 can prepared coconut frosting
3/4 cups vegetable oil
4 large eggs
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cups granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
2/3 cups cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/3 cups water
1 to 2 (6 oz each) vanilla frosting

Tell me if you can figure out what this is...
