Hi there, citizen. I'm glad you found the Barracks interesting, but I regret to inform you do not currently meet the requirements for membership. To be considered for the Elite Guard Barracks, you must be of Private rank or higher (2500+ B/P), and have an advanced whistle (Bronze or higher).

Anyone over the rank of Security Guard (400+ B/P) can apply to the Newgrounds Police Headquarters, where they can work on their B/P'ing, whistling, and other skills until they reach Private.

Writing isn't something that you can pick up and be good at it. It takes a lot of practice. In all honesty, start out with erotica. It really is a good way to practice writing. I started there, Slash started there (although he hasn't really moved from it, just got better at it), and a few other people I can't think of have.

It's good because A) Story and dialogue are easy to make up, B) You'll get a lot of exposure (especially on Newgrounds and the internet in general) C) You can pump out a bunch of stuff relatively quickly, which is a good way to see what works and what doesn't.

Now, I don't have all the answers, and this way may not be the best. But I find it's a good way to start off.

You're missing the point. I measured the same level of reaction to the DD now that I measured for the KK in 07 (the Egoraptor hacking was comparable to the co-author exploit of January 08). And here's the rub: for the most part, they stayed around. Anything and everything your Brigade of Butt-Buddies did was reversed as soon as an admin got on to do it. I never said it was effortless or easy to get KaynSlamdyke and the rest demodded, but rather that in combination with the efforts your pals have put in, they'd probably also want a feeling of "And there's nothing you or anybody can do about it!" if they would think that far ahead. The KK got that and the same reaction with a few shitty submissions, the Ducks didn't get that at all. After all, in the end trolling's all about the reaction, and they got the same of that PLUS the cumulative effect of having whole "generations" (if I may use such a term) oppose them PLUS they didn't make Wade seem like the answer to everyone's problems like the mod-hacking does. Ya, school has taken over alot of my time and leaving a small amount for newgrounds. Now i have time from about 8:00 and anything after that, about 3 hours and a small amout of time when i get home around 4:00. i'm just tired and don't feel the need to post, when i could lay down for a hour. The portal has been slow, i would not know since i have not been watching it like i usually did some days during the summer.

Speaking of school, I'm using the time I have during my art history class to post on NG again. School has been taking up most of my life lately. On Tuesdays I have 9 hours of class, but art history is pretty much useless.. sooo I decided to do something productive! To be honest, it's something I've learned over a long period of time as a consultant. In short conversations, most people really don't expose their true selves. They tend to be defensive, and only say what they think is important. But every once in a while, a little bit of themselves slip out. Over time, if you pay attention to the patterns of what a person says, how they talk, and their general attitude, you can begin to edit out the small talk and fluff, and get a feel for who they really are. Also, people tend to be more "themselves" in humorous situations - they let their personality filters down, and you get to see more of the real deal.

Here, in the EGB, I always keep things light and funny - I make fun of everything, including myself. This usually relaxes people, and they tend to be more "free" with their responses. By reading how each person answers, the terms they use, what they say they like and dislike, you can start to get a better picture of who they generally are. No, I'm no profiler - I can't tell your deep, dark secrets. But I can make a pretty good guess to most of your more common behavioral traits.

In a nutshell, I'm paying attention to all the details. I have to do this with many of my computer clients, because half the time it's not about what they say they want in a program or on a website - it's what they're going to really like - and that's all from unspoken clues.

I hope you're enjoying the story so far - it's actually going to get better, now that I've figured out some major plot lines!
