I'm one of the newer members here, but from the first few pages of this thread, I've noticed how much you've put into this place to have it establish itself to live for over 1000 pages and still not die, it's amazing. Well, I appreciate it. To be honest, it helped having the good members I had to be there. As you'd see if you bothered to read the thousands of posts, I didn't do it alone. I have one question though, how did you decide which leader to succeed you when you left Newgrounds, and how much work did you put in trying to find the right replacement?

Well, I could give you my theories on leadership, but that would take a dissertation. I did go to graduate school for business, and my thesis was on leadership. However, when it comes to the people in the Barracks, leadership tended to find its way to me. Phantom was an obvious choice to me, and so was Slash. It's not hard to figure a person out just how they treat others and how they act on a daily basis.

Is it only 11 days now gosh time flies really quickly. I level to level 32 and I get the Mace its a wicked icon to have. But yes I did notice not many 9/11 flashes apart from a few bad taste ones by spam groups, and the abusive reviews that go with it. I'm not sure what you mean do you mean made the Madness day in respect to the victims of 9/11?. I was reading your post got a little confused but I think I got it. I remember being on Newgrounds not on this account but my old account madamepompadour1757 ,was my old account from 2001. Seeing on the news about 9/11 it was so shocking and the 9/11 tribute flashes that followed. Good to see Eaglerock on here.

I doubt it. Sure, it's close to the date, but there's no way that Madness is anything like what happened on 9/11 or what happened afterward. Tom just picked a day that allowed everyone to recover from Clock Day and make a Madness Day flash.

Anyway, I'm polishing up Chapter 18 of the Barracks story right now. It was a particularly hard chapter to write. More plotmoving chapters are coming up, so it's not just boom boom reload. It didn't help that I spent all last night writing the epilogue (yeah, I wrote the ending already...) and polishing that. But I shouldn't have problems getting this next chapter out in an hour or so.

The only time a card has OVER 9000!!!!!! *dammit!!!!!* is if I have oh say, a Mage Power and United We Stand equipped to a Maha Vailo which has a base ATK strength of 1550. He gains 500 for every equip card that is equipped to him. United We Stand gives the equipped monster 800 additional ATK for every monster on your side of the field, including the monster to which it is equipped. While Mage Power gives an additional 500 ATK for every spell and trap card on your side of the field. So if I have all my spell & trap card zones filled, including my field spell card zone and all my monster zones filled, that would mean my Maha Vailo would have an ATK that is equal to 8550. Alright, so IT'S not OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND but that's not the ONLY time that a monster would have OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAND!!!! ATK. I't just a base scenario.

LOL...well, I can assure you this story has an ending, and I actually already drafted up the epilogue (I had ideas in my head I HAD to get out before I forgot them). I'll probably tweak it once I finish the main part of the story, but it's pretty much done, save a few word changes and dialogue modifications.

Besides, this storyline is big on cliffhangers, so you'll do better to read it as I go along. I've got too much steam going in on this story right now to stop writing it.

Speaking of that, here's Chapter 19: Barracks Under Fire - Chapter 19. I'm happy to say I already drafted Chapter 20 as well and will start polishing it once I flesh out some more of 21.

Actually, i figured as much. But my chapters are pretty well-planned and I don't just cut off my chapters. When you reach the end of a chapter, I want you to be there. :-P I watch Lost, so I love those cliffhangers.

Yeah...that's why I break my my story into small chapters. Helps move the story along easier and allows me multiple opportunities for insanely annoying cliffhangers. :-)

Also, I originally was relegating the chaper size to not overshoot the 8.192 character limit the NG forums had, but since I've stopped posting them directly here, I've not worried about the exact size that much. However, that 8,192 character limit usually clocks in around 1700 words per chapter, which is just enough for me to get a nice burst of action and usually hang you up on a particularly annoying plot point to stop on... :-)

I'm not big on writing stories myself, just because of the time it would take to make something as massive as your EGB one. Smaller chapters seem nicer on the eyes as well, reading something thats 60,000+ characters would just hurt my eyes staring at the laptop screen for a hour. And speaking of writing, I'm almost done my hot little story. Should be coming out the next few days, but who knows. But it will be a change of pace from the stuff I've been putting up in my blogs.

I wish I could, but I would need to find where I left off (somtime when a guy fell out of a vent and hurt his leg), then read from there. Well I did a Goggle search for the name Kingman4444, I did not find I think much evidence to suggest he made the game. Its odd as you say the account being from 2007 but that does not mean its not stolen, I flagged it anyway. I found this link and says made by Zening http://www.kongregate.com/zening. I want to read this story started by EagleRock on EGB forums sounds good. Also TOTW been deleted well the account Gender-Less-Hooker was his name.

The account was set up two years ago, favorited one guy's audio at some point, and has done nothing publicly noticeable until now. If Zening.com were making an account here to upload that, it would have been made more recently (since someone who comes here for the purpose of making one upload tends to upload it fast and then leave), and with some obvious connection to Zening. That is to say, I'm gonna have to side with Krev on this one.
