This is my first entry to the Monthly Writing Contests, so obviously I'm a little excited. Unfortunately I won't be able to find out who won until July 9th when I get home.

I have never submitted anything to any of those contests, and I think that I'll never do it. Not that I don't like them, but I'm just not a very creative person. If I wanted to write something decent, I wouldn't even be able to come up with a single good idea. Besides, English is not my first language, so I don't stand a chance against the more experienced writers of Newgrounds.
Anyway, I like reading the entries every now and then when I have nothing to do. Especially at the end of every month when the winners are announced, I go to the entries thread to read the best stuff. Not only I enjoy the reading, but it can be a somewhat good way to learn some useful vocabulary.
Ignore him guys, the real Corky52 is here. I'm still gonna call him Corky though.
Anyway, I've finished Arc 1 of Sinners, excellent job Slash.

Whilst reading Slash's Pokemon fanfic, I realized that I haven't really used much descriptive language, I've been more to the point. Thus I figured I need to be both to the point and give my readers an actual mental image or something with which they can semi-immerse themselves within my story.

Well, Marco Polo is off again. Well, soon, anyway. I'm leaving on Monday, around 9:15 to get to my school, where I'll then head over to the airport and take a plane to Costa Rica, where I'll stay for 10 days and get back at midnight on July 8th.
That's following a 6 day trip to Boy's State, from which I got back on Friday. And after my Costa Rica trip, I'll be heading over to a Boy Scout camp for 5.5 days. I'm leaving for camp on the 12th.
So Slash, if you could, could you deposit for me for those extra 5 days? I'll be back around 1 or 2 PM on the 18th, so you don't need to deposit then. Sorry I didn't mention it earlier; I thought it was a week later than it really is.

That name is reminiscent of "goldencat", famed rapper, virus writer, and author of Abusing and Exploiting Newgrounds. And Reed did say (somewhere on this page, using account Reeed):

I've taken part in the last three, and done fairly well as well (though not actually made the top 3 yet...). Unfortunately I've had no time to take part this month, not to mention I wasn't too keen on the theme. I just couldn't come up with anything original enough for my tastes.
But certainly they are great fun to participate in, and there are some really excellent writers around on this site. Good warm up for the rumoured lit portal too, I'm building up quite a back catalogue to submit to there if it ever shows up!

Foolish enough to download an executable from an unknown source, yes, but I very nearly got it last year, and I'm pretty sure I don't have "shitty computer security". Then again, that was before I got Avast!, and my brother ended up with a virus on this thing eventually, so maybe I did at the time. But I fully trusted Newgrounds' userbase not to give me a virus, and forgot that everything I've ever done here has turned into "SoulMaster71 vs. Newgrounds Abusers" faster than hot diarrhea going down a greased pipe. And a year later, as soon as I smelled Star Syndicate, yeah, I acted.
