Let me ask you this Coop, why can't all the mods including you, just come to a single agreement about the all caps reviews?
Hey, don't take that tone with me. I don't make the rules! I may have some influence in adding to the discussion about altering the review guidelines as and when that happens, but I can't suddenly go to the rest of the Review Moderators and say to them all "Guys, we've had the word come through from SlntCobra1 and we've now got to delete all reviews that are all caps as abusive, capiche?"
I mean that's a bannable offense on the forums, as it is considered shouting.
That's a fair point, but like has been said earlier by my learned colleague Seamonky, sometimes people write all caps reviews like "OMG, THAT WAS AWESOME!", which in itself is not abusive, or would most certainly not be considered abusive by anyone in their right mind if it were not in caps. It would merely be useless.
Also, I think we should be able to see how many points we have on our whistles. We can see how many EXP points we are from a level up on our profile and how many B/P points we have in total, so why not apply that same thought pattern to the whistles?
Because that would make the system prone to abuse (everyone would go out there to get a Deity Whistle, rather than rooting out the abusive review, to clear up Newgrounds) and put even more workload onto the plates of the Review Moderation team.
It makes no sense to not do it. It's just insane if you ask me. I think everyone would benefit from being able to see how much further they have to go in order to level up their whistle. I've seen everyone say it at least once, "I know it's frustrating to not know how close or how far you are from leveling up your whistle, but just do your best." SO I SAY, IMPLEMENT IT NOW!! >_<
Don't talk to your superior officers like that! Drop and give me 20!

Also, the BBS =/= the review system. That's why they both have different rules.
That's the best justification I've heard yet.

Well my point is, that it would make things a lot easier on everyone who wants to level up their whistle. Also it would ease the tension about people posting Abusive Review threads, I.E. another Rage thread. Honestly, would it really be that bad?
I think not.
Yers, it would. You've not been here long enough to understand truly the lengths some sad individuals will go to get ahead. The admins have disabled to my knowledge at least three bots that were patrolling the portal and getting B/P points at some point. They changed the experience system so that people couldn't gain more experience for referring new members to Newgrounds, which turned out to be alt accounts.
Don't be so naive, we are aware of reasons for not changing the whistle system, because of the potential for abuse.

Some of the things you're asking for are not that easy, and some of the things are not moderators' fault, so you shouldn't get angry with Coop, he's not responsible for your problems. It's not his fault (or any moderator's) that you're not listening when we tell you that abusive reviews should jump off the screen at you just screaming 'I'M ABUSIVE' if you don't notice it as such at a first glance, then don't bother flagging it.
Well said, Ismael. The reasoning behind doing something on this site like flagging abusive reviews should be for the good of the community, not for the stats, which are a bi-product. I don't like people leaping into this whole thing because they are stat whores and anyone that feels the same way at SlntCobra1 in the barracks really needs to do some reflecting about what actual purpose they fulfil within this organisation.
