SintCobara1 well done on your new bronze whistle I found that going from normal to bronze really easy once I started. Of course I got my whistle through Rages's thread which I really miss even four months later such a shame that it closed it had a real community on there. I was there in the glory days I really miss it so much. Even though it was maybe not so good in the end Rage abandoned it maybe that it when it went to hell. Still I did not see the alarms bells till to late. That flash passed was a little surprised it passed but it did.

If enough users blow the whistle on an entry it will be automatically pulled from the Portal until it has been reviewed. Upon review, if we decide the entry is in violation of our guidelines we will delete it and those who blew the whistle will receive positive whistle points. If we find it is not a violation of our guidelines we will release it back into the Portal and those users who blew the whistle will receive negative whistle points

Anyway, do you have an idea on howmuch points you should have for silver whistle? Been bronze forever... :D

As far as I know, hentai is flaggable unless it contains some sort of interactivity (like a game where the reward is a hentai pic). So hentai slideshows are abusive, or at least I think they are.

Yeah, that is exactly right. The good thing about being a regular on the wi/ht forum for so long is you see topics like this all of the time.

I remember reading up on a large topic about it and even remember posting in it if I'm not mistaken. It was said that simple slideshows were abusive and that they needed more interactivity then a next button such as a quiz or similar type of game.

In other news I'm starting to review the lower scoring flashes every night. Funny thing is you find a lot of authors with great potential and some actually good submissions with scores below a 2.00. Authors seem to appreciate reviews more too on submissions that don't do too well no matter the score you give.

I gave a 1 on a review and not only did the person thank me in the response, but they PM'd me for flash tips and to say thank you again.

Lock Legion day is today not that big but six years I think so there are many submissions on the portal today. Love the LL they have some comedy ones and the quality good like Pico day not many so it more quality. Anyone noticed the new wide screen? when you go to watch movies they load up automatically instead of you having to press them. Cool new feature. Yes some of those hentai slide shows are somewhat crap not much effort some crappy pictures maybe found of Google. Not all are bad but I find them mainly average.

The wide layout looks kinda weird. I hope it gets streamlined and sexified in the next few days, because a lot of stuff looks lonely. Still, I guess I could get used to it, though it doesn't really seem to add anything, and auto-loading runs some malicious flash risks.

See, that's exactly what I was thinking. You just know someone's going to use fileswapping and the autoloading system to switch out a good yet stolen movie (obscure enough to not get flagged, though hopefully someone will find it's stolen even if they don't know the source) for something that gives some kind of malicious code (as in "Flash exploit that causes a BSOD on Windows operating systems"). Warn your spammer friends to temporarily block Flash from uploads.ungrounded.net, and Tor it up, bitches! Instant Daily First, and some of you probably remember what happened when LordZeebmork stole that award... And the trouble it caused in both the Portal and the BBS.

As terrible as this (slightly NFSW by the way) flash is on a basic level, I had to admire the ingenuity involved as he figured out how to exploit the new wide layout by coding the flash so that a certain action would occur when it was made widescreen. Just goes to show you the possibilities, and I have to admit it gave me a chuckle as I wasn't expecting it. Check it out.

Eh, they're just abusing the system if you ask me. The widescreen was implemented for a reason, so we could submit bigger flashes(stage wise that is) and not have to worry about the damn size constraints of 440 pixels by 500 or something like that.

The limit was, for a lot of time, 800 x 600. Now I don't know if it's changed, but anyway no-one would need to make a flash with bigger dimensions than those.

But it's not abusive. It's just a flaw in the code that's funny. Sure, it's a more adult use of the flaw, but it's perfectly fine.
