Very good example, Captain. That is the reason for my apprehension towards that voting style as well. It is not helping the Portal; it is a detriment to the sumbissions that pass or get blammed.

On the other hand, he may also blam some submissions that deserve to pass with a big fat 0. As Elite Guards, we should judge entries based on fairness and give them what they deserve instead of simply voting 0 or 5 just to increase the chance for them to be blammed or saved. Voting fairly is also the main purpose of NG, that's why we have more buttons (0 to 5) to click than 0 and 5.

On a side note, I occationally found out that the NGPD was threatened by a mod (Evark) again because he thought that NGPD looked similar with NG Army and the Blam Club.

It will be terrible if our brand organization gets locked. I hope that the members there can spend some time reading our posts here so that they can post some quality posts.

By brand organization, I assume you mean "branch" organization. They are NOT our branch...they are their own entity with their own leaders and their own rules. We have no affect on them whatsoever besides any alliances or respect we generate from them. It is kind of insulting to insinuate that they are nothing but a section of our Barracks.

However, thanks for your post, as I think that'll help people realize why voting just 0 and 5 is a problem. I've been trying to come up with an ironclad example as to why it is bad, and you did that for me. Thanks, sir!

I figured I could do some stuff with an IF board if you were busy, which I figured you were. I, on the other hand, just have like eight pages of a novel to finish by Monday and a worksheet from AP US History that, since the teacher doesn't know whether or not I have the book for it, I'd be able to slide until Wednesday, by which time I'd have more than completed the assigned sheet.

Thanks for you reply, Eagle. I have read through a few pages of NGPD, and I guess that I've found that the reasons why Evark was threatening.
1. Too many short posts, even including posts like "Oh, snap! BB fileswap!" and many other one sentence posts.
2. Some members namely snarfclock have the habit of posting one sentence posts.
3. When they see a BB fileswap, they start talking about how the BB members have polluted NG and how to deal with them at the wrong place. (I even doubt that they know where to go if they want to talk about stuffs like that.) As a result, NGPD looks more and more like a Blam Club, that was the main reason why Evark threatened them.
4. Lack of excellent leadership. Ever since our former Police Captain K-P (I like to call him this way, lol!) left because of promotion, the quality of posts at NGPD has dropped. Darth is the founder of NGPD, but he rarely shows up. In order to solve all the chaos and disorders, a strong leadership is required.
The four points were what I discovered from reading recent posts at NGPD, I hope that some of them can drop by here and learn from this posts. Salutes!

Right now, I'm at around 500 B/P until Lieutenant General. The last B/P rank that will increase me VP by 2%. Expect me to get Lieutenant General at around 8th February.

I have been trying to discourage this with many of our members, but they always respond in a manner like this "Hey I'll post what i want, Im not gona post long jus for you"

I actually am going to try to stop him. Up until now I have put up with it, playfully telling him to stop. But if he risks the thread getting locked, I am not going to put up with it.

I don't know if that's the best course of action...it would, itself, be giving the BB more attention, likely attracted reviews from BB haters about how much they indeed suck, and BB members who will flame you...but I do agree that we should not review BB movies, as it just gives them more attention.

I was wondering what Evark was talking about. Reviewing his post, it was kind of wierd that he came just to say what he did. I'm sure there were underlying reasons, sir, like you claim.

Ugh. So annoying. I don't mind a one-liner that makes sense or is pertinent to the conversation, but spamlike conversation should be kept to chat rooms and nothing else. Forums are meant for a reason...so you can get out your thoughts all in one post...not TEN.

I cannot stand that. What is wrong with a group of people posting their flash, no matter how crappy it is? True, they do fileswap, but that should not reflect their normal flash. Several BB members attempt to make decent flash, so they should be allowed a fair vote. All this anti-BB propaganda just hurts their chances and makes their propensity to fileswap even more. If you want to attack the BB's fileswapping habits, let them submit their stuff and vote on it FAIRLY.

IF, as in InvisionFree. They're a group which provides free forum space to whoever signs up. I've worked with setting up their forums before, and it's pretty easy. Problem is it's a bit annoying to change who the Root Admin is.

For a forum, I would use Forum City, USA. They provide phpBB forums, which I am very experienced in. As far as the site itself, the NG Mafia already has a site, but it is incomplete.

All I know how to really set up are IF Forums, which was why I was offering to take some work off your hands by setting those up.

As a posted previously, NGPD has been shaky (threatened by mods) since K-P left. Now, you sir, Rslegend, have left there as well. So I wonder who will be the new leader there? NGPD needs a strong leadership to bounce back from the recent chaos. Guys, who should be the next leader? The decision will probably decide NGPD's fate. Anyway, let the discussion begin.
