As far as I see it, they decided to demod him because he made a satirical thread about spousal abuse. Because to me that thread is pretty clearly a joke thread, and for a site like newgrounds, where there is an entire collection devoted to making fun of tragedies, I would think there would be a high tolerance for jokes, no matter how offensive they are.
BTW didn't catch why Nephthys got demodded. Is it because she left?

It was more then that, yeah, but I'm not going to get into specifics because I don't think it's fair to anyone to start going "ok, so this is why so and so voted this way, or this is why we even thought we needed a vote, and blah" I really don't want to start grudges, but yeah, it was more then just the one thread.

Wouldn't it be a wiser decision to just post this where he wouldn't be publicly humilliated? say, the mod lounge? We would have caught on.
The truth is, he was just making a little joke. as you all probably know, this isn't the most wholesome of places, and for saying something, granted it was in bad taste but still a joke, will get him this much bullshit? On the internet, for that matter?

That's a shame. I hope he's prepared to read this--I mean, losing modship can be really tough. Hopefully the mods will do a good enough job to prevent other users from harassing him (just like they would for any other user). SCD will eventually get over this whole thing, and we should too.

Agreed. This place has gone soft. It has no edge anymore, no one is getting sued for overly offensive content, people are getting demodded for jokes...

This is a little too over the top, SCD doesn't really deserve to be demodded, his past merits that helped him achieve the position of modship shouldn't really be overlooked by one simple post that was meant puerly to entertain in a mostly male, teenage based forum, but that's just my say on the situation.
