Well I missed the August update completely, and between that and this update it's been three months, so it really isn't as awesome a pace as it might seem. :) As the stat fanatic I am I go for leaving feedback where it gives me a number, blog comments seem less of a priority, though that goes in waves... if those ever start getting counted you'll probably be way ahead of the competition!

Damn, I totally forgot about this thread but it looks like I made top 50. I should really just sit down and mash out 10 art reviews every day, but as-is I think most of my lead has come from me judging rap battles (which has incidentally lead to me ending up with a target on my back.)

There are some people who claim that she's a fraud, as it doesn't even seem possible for her to review that many books. She does have her own Wikipedia article and it would be awesome if we did. I mean, XwaynecoltX technically has more reviews than Leonard Maltin and his reviews are only a paragraph long.

Yeah, I read the critique part on WikiPedia. Amongst other things there was apparently one author who included her name in a book she reviewed to see if she'd notice and mention it... and she didn't. Somehow I don't think online media reviews would ever be considered as serious as book or film reviews, it's a content form with a lot of prejudice against it... but if it ever does we'll have a real headstart compared to all other comparable social community media sites out there. :) I guess Leonard Maltin was famous before he became a critic btw. Hey btw, congrats on hitting 15k posts!!

Anyone else notice that short reviews are becoming more acceptable around here? Like I used to get banned for posting too many but now I dont seem to have that problem. I mean I at least make most of my reviews a bit different every time and I'm very honest about my reviews. I mean I never was a fan of writing an entire paragraph just so I wouldnt get banned but yeah.

Also I wonder when the next update will be :3

Hmm can't say I've noticed. If it is a change in modding mindset it sounds good though, I believe all forms of reviews should be encouraged! Well, the positive or constructive ones, of course. Maybe I'm just imagining things btw, but it feels like I'm seeing much more long reviews than before, even if one-liners are still majority.

A list for reviewers. I have not seen any official version of this list so I think there is only this fake list.

I come with a tip now:
Never give no stars in a review. Else it may get deleted!
It says so in the frequently asked questions that rating 0 can lead to the account getting removed. I do not think I have any reviews with no stars left.

With that said, do everyone here know that they are included in this list? If no, someone should notify them.

They at the top of this list are obviously spammers.

Here's a tip for you: disregarding stars, constructive criticism doesn't get removed. Telling people they suck or that their submissions should be deleted really isn't constructive. As far as I know the FAQ only takes up the topic of zero-bombing, nothing to do with reviews.

Obviously you either haven't read their reviews, are trolling, or don't know what spamming means. A large amount is not synonymous with spam, not when it takes years of hard work and perseverance to reach. I can't tell if you're really trying to insult everyone at the top of the list with that comment, or if it's maybe just a lingual blunder?

No, I have read your last post now.

If it was meant to be connected to my only movie review, I can tell that the creator of the submission was really abusive to other reviews. The content of the submission was also crap and angled to himself like he was the worlds coolest person. I couldn't resist.

Exactly. If you look close enough, you may see that I wrote 'rating 0' and not 'giving no stars in a review'. The FAQ did mention it by voting and not ratings in reviews.

Cool fact. Evil-C at one point was the #1 reviewer on this site, years and years ago. It's sad to see him go, but cool fact for you reviewers out there.

What happened to Killbillvolume2? I don't see him hear and I don't see the number of reviews he did under anyone else's name. Yes, I have in fact been recording these myself.
