So, i am not sure where to ask this, but i too need everyones opinion on something.

I am either getting a new computer or a laptop (notebook or w/e) for when i go away for university. I was wondering which should I get and why? I don't really know the pluses and downfalls of either (except that a laptop is portable [which - by the way- isn't all that big a deal to me]).

So ,what do you guys (and girls ^_^) think?

Well, if your price range is in american dollars, then you should be able to get a pretty good laptop.
The computer i am working off of now is a peice of shit. 500mhz but quite a bit of RAM. I don't really know much about computers so i get fustrated trying to figure out which would be best. All i know is that i want it faster (like 2.5 - 3 ghz), i want more memory then i have (i use programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, GoLive, some flash MX). I want a USB port and a sound card with a MIDI port as well as i want to be able to hook up a mouse if its a laptop (whci i think all can do).

today i have successfully gained 116 b/p points, and i have another 5 UJ's in the portal that ive voted correctly on... so that will equel 121 points in a fucking day.
CONSIDERING that where i live, 4PM is 12AM at NG... i'd say thats a decent effort, no?
oh, and would you all go to ShittyKitty's site and look at the list 'b/p alt sort'... there are like 25 people (the first 25) with inhumanely high averages for the past couple of days... i think there must be an error, or im going crazy.
