Well, it is and isn't. It's recent but without going to these events for the last 11 months at this point it is feeling eternal.
Aha. Just a year though... to me it feels like these last soon-12-here months have flown by faster than usual. In some ways I feel like I'm just now picking up where I left off last year. Like everything's been on pause all this time and it's now starting up again... but seems possible another year might pass before I know it and I'll be at this same place again next year and feel like it's all been on pause again until then. A bit like Groundhog Day, just living the same session over and over until stagnation lifts and life resumes its natural course.
It's weird, it's been both slow and fast. It's been a drag during lockdown but we have managed nearly a year already, though with the Summer we had more to do.
The road out of lockdown was announced in the week just gone and they want to entirely lift all restrictions on 21st June. Sounds great but that might be wishful thinking at this time. However, all the other ease of restrictions before it are all welcoming. Come next month I'll be legally allowed to meet up with a friend outside. April is the reopening of shops and outside pubs and May is reopening all pubs as well as allowing all indoor mixing.
If only we could go back to living like usual with a little better hygiene I think it'd all work out better. IMHO.
Now that I say is the best scenario. I'd be all for sanitising more often even when all the advices are gone. Sure, we can have a fair level of immunity against Covid (recent UK numbers are looking somewhat promising) but keeping hands cleaner has reduced the times I've been ill with a cold. Hell, I may have actually had Covid on my hands but escaped from it thanks to sanitising. We'll never know.

Many thanks again. I think that will be all for climbing up the ranks for the time being but I'm happy enough for now. I even feel confident enough that reaching the top 30 is looking very possible for me even if it might be a while off yet.

I did some quick math and if I only get 10xp a day every day for the next 501 days I'll be at level 60. So looking at another almost 16 months. Though with getting 20xp a day lately I'll get there in 250-251. So if my calculating is right I'll hit it by mid-October this year if 20xp a day is just going to be here to stay til then. If not then it'll probably be sometime mid-2022.

Apparently the double EXP per day thing actually hasn't been on constant for a while now, just realized it today when they activated it again! But assumin' this FNF wave keeps going for a while yet maybe that is possible.

Yeah I do feel like things slowed down a bit for summer... then it just kept going.
Maybe it's really like that every year for me though. So much sitting by the computer all times but summer. That's the season that really stands out regardless, but even more this year. Usually I at least get that occasional weekend trip to break time apart and reset routines a little.

Mmm considering how fargone this all is now it sounds unlikely IMO, but who knows, shall hope. Summer would be a good time to get some freedom. That's good to hear. Hope you don't get a backlash now; they shut down all the fiercer.

For sure, potentially multiple times too, you really never know. It should be effortless really. No need to feel like soap's a restrictive measure, more so a wholesome way to live. Healthy and free of disease.
Just gotta eat a little dirt and stuff to keep the immune system going then. Might miss a bit of that with too clean hands too.
