It's not necessarily difficult. Just vote on your five movies each day and eventually the points add up. I'll definitely say the time has gone by quicker than I'd like to admit.
If the original system was still in play many of us even if we were consistent would be in our teens, and if really lucky early 20's not to mention we would have a shit load of level 9's and 10's.
but on another note 37,000 EXP is now mine.

Just imagine how great of a gap it would be now between level 9 and 10. I mean, it already was ridiculously large before the redesign.
Over the last couple days I hit Level 35, ranked up from Master Sergeant to Sgt. First Class AND got a deity whistle! Woo!

It's just people having their accounts deleted or their posts wiped. When a user's posts are deleted all of their threads are gone too, and if you posted in those threads that means your posts are gone as well. It sucks. I can understand people wanting their posts gone but to me the BBS is a fascinating time capsule and it sucks to see it filled with holes, and of course it sucks to have my own posts removed without notice. It would be nice if the process could be reworked so threads stay up with a blank OP rather than the whole thread going down.
The most popular thread on the VG forum used to be the old xbox gamerscore leaderboard, but then the user who started it (Jawdyn) had his account deleted, and hundreds of pages of other people's posts are gone alongside it. The newer (now defunct) leaderboard gives me mad nostalgia when I flick through it, so it's a shame to see the older one gone forever.
Same with private messages, I have an IRL friend who had his NG account deleted and all of the pages upon pages of retarded nonsense we used to message eachother is gone forever too. I miss it.
I go through phases where I don't post much but still log in every day, and that's when I notice my post count is almost constantly declining. Homicidee also had his posts wiped fairly recently and I'd posted in a lot of his threads so that put a nice dent in my post count too. I think everyone should have the right to wipe their posts but it just stings a bit when they cause collateral damage, like they're hurting NG itself in a tiny way.
A truly prophetic sig...
I have finally reached 2,000 blams!
You know. When the site redesigned and we had new level icons I had one simple desire. And that was to make it to level 46 so I could have a shark with a frickin' laser beam attached to it's head!

This might be a weird accomplishment. But as of a couple weeks ago:
I've been a member of Newgrounds for a longer period of my life than I haven't been a member of Newgrounds. Aka the majority of my life I have officially been a member of Newgrounds.
I wouldn't have it any other way.

Nice. :) Bit surprised you say you thought they had died btw, did they do anything to make it seem that way, or just leave without a trace? Guess I'm still a bit naive, but unless there's some post about it I usually just assume people are elsewhere. Even when it does become official someone's passed it's hard to believe, feels like interacting online - without face to face contact, the presence you feel from someone never disappears the same way as it would in real life. So much harder to grasp people really die, online. Especially when their accounts live on, maybe... well, anyway, didn't mean to delve into the pondering of potentially depressing afterrealms here...
Yeah, generally I'd say don't assume disappeared-off-the-face-of-yer-internet-borders peops are dead unless A) a family member posts on their account saying they're dead, B) you knew they had a terminal illness, or C) they were pretty old and you haven't heard from 'em or heard anything about 'em for decades (not just years).
That said, I did just turn 40 in June, so... time does go on by, doesn't it.

It was #50 in b/p overall I was thinking of when I typed that. So about to fall off that list. And ofc my saves ranking is pitiful thanks to saves being easier to get than blams nowadays (and for some time now, I guess). And that was the ONE stat I was ever #1 in on all of NG. ;)

I just looked it up on nglogs, I passed 19k blams on 14-05-21 (of course date format is yy-mm-dd), so it took me over 2 years to get the last 1000 blams. Okay, my overall B/P pace dropped to like 2 per day a while before that, but it's still quite sad to see. Especially considering how easy it was to get like 50 B/P a day in 2012/2013.
It was #50 in b/p overall I was thinking of when I typed that. So about to fall off that list.

Can't believe it's that long since I dropped that name. It does feel more recent than that but I've focused so much less on NG since then so it feels that way cause of it. Over that time in my real life world, though, I've had plenty to experience so there's that. I feel I'm only starting to catch up on all the things I didn't do while I spent many days and nights in. Guess I just wasn't ready for many things back then but I sure as hell am now!
Seriously man, the fact that the last I heard from you was two years ago shows how much has changed with me since then! I've been in a steady job for the majority of that period which is saying something for me considering all the struggles I had to get permanent work.
In recent events, though, I've hit the 6 week mark for being without smoking. That was something I took up back in 2013 and eventually phased out cigarettes this year in favour of vapes but even that I'm not doing anymore. 1st July was the very last time I even had a puff of the vape I had which I consider the very last time I had a smoke of any sort so I say I've done well with that. Come reply to me in a year or something and see how I am with this then. :P

Hey, nice reading this. I know you had some trouble with your parents back in the days (even thought about changing your name back then, if I'm not mistaken?) so it's a) nice to see you held out for so long and b) that you are finally moving out. It's always a big step and even though sometimes it's big trouble, in the end it's SO worth it!
Also, we should totally hang out one day. I know we came close to meeting up last time I was in Manchester (back in 2012 it was, I think?) but you had just started a job then and didn't have time. It's not totally unlikely that I will visit Manchester again or even Liverpool in the future. ^^

I'll forget even aiming for #1, though. I know they all say to aim for the top but for the EXP rank? Maaaaybe not that.

Admittedly, it's that stuff that I kinda wish I forgot about. Probably shit I said around a decade ago. I won't deny that I had some maturity issues back in the day but I like to think I get better with age and I say they have as well, particularly to still put up with me even to this date.
Nothing has happened or anything to cause me to move out. I just had that fated moment where I had found the ideal place for me to move in. Not gonna lie, the block on the outside look likes shit, especially the back garden but it's the inside that counts. For a one person flat, I've got a fair bit of space to work with and there is local shops and pubs as well as very handy public transport nearby.
However, what really brought me to this place is the fact that by moving in, I'll be living in the same block as one of my best friends. I've had many times hanging out at his place for drinks and smokes (but none of the latter anymore due to recent quitting) so I've even felt home there and now I can get to live not in that very flat but as a neighbour to it! I can't say how the other tenants are but the fact that I've got him as a neighbour is a step up by lightyears from the chavvy twats that I've had for nearly 25 years now.
While he has plans to move out in a year or two with his girlfriend, I say it's a great start to move elsewhere for the reason of having a friend there already! I was actually saying to him I was willing to take over his flat if it were possible but then I looked up properties online and by sheer luck found a place to rent in said block so I immediately acted upon it. At this time I'm still in pending stage of the application for references and all that but that should be sorted by the end of this week.
As for the whole name change, that is something that had been in my mind and admittedly still does so even now. Back in the day it was more due to being bullied over my name in school which lingered on for a few years after I left but nowadays if I really want to have it changed, it'll be more due to finally being sick of all the jokes I get about tennis. However, by doing that, maybe a bit of a novelty about me would be lost in the view of others. At the end of the day, though, a name change would still be down to myself and myself only and chances are, the majority of my family and friends will be fully behind it.
Also, we should totally hang out one day. I know we came close to meeting up last time I was in Manchester (back in 2012 it was, I think?) but you had just started a job then and didn't have time. It's not totally unlikely that I will visit Manchester again or even Liverpool in the future. ^^
Oh totally! I know we only talk to each other on here a few times a year at most these days but if you're ever around, definitely give me a shout! However, I remember how anti-social media you were and quite possibly still are so I can't just tell you to drop me an inbox on Facebook or Instagram when you make plans to come to Liverpool or Manchester. However, what I am willing to let you do is simply drop me a PM when that time comes. I'm still depositing on a daily basis (although slipping up here and there now but still doing well nonetheless) so I'm bound to check any PMs I get on here.
I feel I've said more than enough about myself here and how I've been lately so I want to hear how the rest of you have been in the however long that we've not posted here for.
