Classic record. Probably one of the best produced albums ever. The mixing of everything is simply spot on.
I always liked Deliverance better. Even though, you cannot really say "Deliverance is better than Blackwater Park" or vice versa. Both are just great.
Blackwater Park did give them the recognition they needed and they celebrated their 20th anniversary with this record for a very good reason.

Yes, but the song "Deliverance" contains one of my favorite drum parts ever. Every time I listen to it, I think "how on earth can there exist people, that DON'T go crazy when they hear this?!"

Yeah, I woke up at 11:30AM today. Still fine and maybe if I'm wearing myself out with work around the house, it'll be another easy night.
You only have a sleeping problem when you are tired as hell but you simply cannot fall asleep.
Actually, that sums me up.

Oh, okay. Well, hopefully it will sort itself out. If it doesn't, then you might seek medical treatment for it after all. :/

Especially when Download tend to have terrible bands on. It's bad enough Maiden have shit choices for support act for their live shows.
Most support bands just suck ass.
At least it's not a whole day waiting for the damn band.

But things tend to go wrong on festivals. Rain storms or other diffculties... Blind Guardian had to finish their show early on W:O:A 2002 because of a storm warning. No storm came, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. I think there where some deaths because of a storm at some other festival earlier that year, but I can't seem to find anything about that.

Not much of a surprise there. I'm more comfortable with trains than I am with planes. And besides, trains should be cheaper than planes.
I don't know if trains are really that much cheaper. But I do know that planes are just way faster.
Eh, you have to book TWO journeys just to get to Germany from here by train.

Well, that's what you get for living on an island. :P

I watched that yesterday. Not bad, but I don't know... it's nothing too great either. Too much action and too little story.
I've seen it twice, but I meant playing Lord of the Rings Online. Getting my RP fix.

I see.

The only reason I say never is that No-one could replace Freddie Mercury, like no-one could replace Michael Jackson. Sure, the music will be good, but it's not the same without them.
Wasn't there a show once where they had Freddy on a big screen (various tapes from their live shows) and the rest of the band live on stage? Or maybe I'm just mixing that up with some other band.
They did put that up at the Olympics, I believe. It's not the same, like War of the Worlds with the hologram of Richard Burton

Nah, I was thinking of some even that took place years ago. Actually, I'm pretty sure it was Queen.

Also, I never was a fan of MJ. Especially in his later days he was just annoying.
The first album I ever purchased was Bad. I may not have agreed with some of the aspects of his personal life, but his singing was fantastic.

Well, he did have his moments. "Thriller" is awesome (not only because of the video) and "Billy Jean" is good as well.

How is Tony Iommi doing these days? I heard he was sick, but haven't heard any news since...

He has made a great recovery. His illness was discovered soon enough and it's helped for the whole band to do regular check ups. This has been mandatory ever since the death of Dio.

One thing for sure, neither of us will consider having kids within the next five years. Next ten years on the other hand, depends how your life is at that point.
Yeah, I just have this idea that I don't want kids in my 20's. I still feel like a kid myself a lot of the time, not to mention I'm not even close financially speaking.

Yeah, it's those two factors. This is why sometime in this decade I'd like to build up my finance.

You shouldn't even have to worry if he just signs up now.

Well that sucks. HMV have gone into administration and I had a voucher waiting for when I'll go to Oxford Street in a few days time. There's always something about bands going so long without an album that I don't like. Guns N' Roses are the perfect example but on the other hand, you get Angel Witch who last year released their first album in 26 fucking years and it turned out great. I don't know how much Angel Witch you know but considering they seem to have that one hit wonder syndrome, this song is magnificent.

I think curious is the best way to describe my feelings about the new Sabbath album. It's like curiosity with a sprinkling of excitement on top. :P I'm going to listen to it and most likely enjoy it, but whether or not I come back to listen again, well, we'll just have to wait and see... :P

And I haven't listened to much Angel Witch, though I have heard of them. "Dead Sea Scrolls" is a solid tune, though, I agree.

I was employed two years later. That job I had I was getting so much money that I couldn't even spend it all. Haha, where did that go? It's been downhill after it changed.

I worked at the place I was at for around 3 1/2 years. The customer that I filled orders for (I did wholesale selection for a perishable food warehouse) went out of business -that was pretty much the beginning of the end for me there.

So, what kind of job did you have that had you raking in all that cash? :P

Then you better keep it up and never leave us again! >:D

I feel like sticking around, and if I can get the Hexalist straightened out then I'll be married to Newgrounds, or at least to the wi/ht forum. Scary thought. :P

Helloween - Straight Out of Hell. Well, sort of. It's just listening to samples which all sound very good so far.

Body Count - Body Count (hell yeah, a self titled debut album! ;) Sadly, "Copkiller" isn't on this version of the album)
I've been on the edge about getting this album. I only listened to one song from it due to knowing Ice T is in this and he made an appearance on a Black Sabbath album.

Well, if you haven't listened to this album in the 90's, then this album might not be for you. I think most of the praise the album gets is from people who listened to this when they where teenagers... that's not to say that "Body Count" is a bad album, but when you listen to this, you really can hear that it was written and produced in the 90's, heh.

On the other hand, the lyrics actually make sense. Most critics say the lyrics are weak and that Ice-T would only sing "motherfucker this" and "motherfucker that". I always wondered if people who say stuff like that really listened to the whole album. How can anyone say 'The Winner Loses' or 'MommaâEUTMs Gotta Die Tonight' don't have serious lyrics?

Anyway, from todays point of view, I would rate "Body Count" 6 out of 10, the most. With a huge nostalgia bonus, I rate this album 8 out of 10. However, if you get a Body Count record, you might want to try out Born Dead instead. I always liked that one better.

Interesting point of view. I say, they are always lazy. :P
Never lazy, just the beginning.

I see, this is just another topic we can not reach an agreement on.

If I was to live in Germany, then sure.
Hm, you are listening to music with german titles... Well, that's already a start, isn't it? ^^
Finsterforst are a really good band. It's like throwing Moonsorrow, Equilibrium and Finntroll in a blender and this becomes the outcome.

But you have to extract that finntroll-acoustic-album first.

I have now managed to Coop MPA, thus ascending to 88th most experienced user of Newgrounds

This may be shortlived, as I am currently tied with iWalker, so if I get up early enough tomorrow, I could be #87!

Wow, I honestly had no idea that Geddy Lee wasn't a founding member. Cool how they were able to keep the bassist/singer combo with Lee instead of adding a 4th band member.

I bet it was a cheaper alternative at the time - only need to feed one more motuh, rather than two :P

Good. I have 2 more meetings to take minutes for and type up, before I can get away for the weekend. The last one finishes at about 4pm on Thursday...
Just one more day and I'm there. :D

And the damned weather conspired against me!

It's cleared up already. Although, my voice still needs to recover but that shouldn't be a problem. I just better make sure I avoid high pitched vocals for karaoke.

I would have done that - I'd even come up with a few tracks that I was hopefully going to try...
