I guess we were better handled at drinking than they were. Hell, we were all dancing to Gangnam Style whilst having a bottle of Jack Daniel's in the middle of the room. We didn't knock it over. :D

Would you be amazed if I said that I didn't know what "Gangnam Style" was until I came back to Newgrounds in November? The Flash Portal is always good for keeping me current on the newest fads and memes of the interwebz.

Not for me it wasn't. I had wanted to see System since I was in middle school, and when they went on hiatus a few years back I thought I would never get the chance. It was probably my 2nd favorite concert, next to seeing Metallica back in 2004.

Oh, I got to 7,000 saves.

Since medals don't count up to the total anymore and I'm gaining saves pretty fast lately, I think I will get to 10k saves before I get to 10k medals.
I never expected that to happen.

Just keep on going down that road. Not long until you wake up at 4:45 AM. :P

I fell asleep at 9AM this time... There was no getting away with oversleeping, though as my mum was at home and woke me up at 12:30PM ish. Very little sleep, sure but hopefully I can sleep easier tonight.

Good for you. Too bad they only have one UK show and that's at Download. For a tour named Maiden ENGLAND, it's sure as hell false advertising.
Well, at least they don't call it "Maiden England" and then don't play any show at all. ^^

They may as well not play any damn shows in England. The band's big enough to have their own damn show and not play at some shitty festival.

Perhaps not even soft porn in this case. :P
It's "soft" porn. But "soft" porn just doesn't make any sense. Who on earth wants to see two people fucking, without actually seeing them fucking? It's like trying to get drunk by drinking alcohol-free beer.

Well, there's the attempt of an erotic view but even then it's just not that effective.

And your chances at showing up at a meet here aren't that great either. I'm going to guess that was my only chance to even see you here for a long time.
There's a tiny chance that I might be visting London for the CL match Arsenal against Bayern. But it's only a VERY tiny chance. But I sure as hell will visit the UK in the following years.

I'd like to visit Germany sometime. The place seems very metal friendly and it would be cool to go to a live show over there. My sister has thought of these ideas more than I have but then again, I'm unemployed and she's not.

Mine was a case of not getting to bed until later than planned (2am) and then not really managing to get much in the way of sleep. Hopefully, I can rectify that now.

I can't say what I'll be like tomorrow. Only one way to find out, though. Surely I can't have myself asleep for something really stupid like 14 hours straight but then again, I wouldn't put it past myself to do that.

I could have told some interviewers that I could easily get to the work place via cycling but my problem is that by the time you get to work, you'll feel all hot and bothered already.
I tried to ease off the pedals as I got closer to work. That way the cool breeze still had that effect and I slowly lowered the body temperature, rather than stopping and becoming drenched in sweat.

Where I live, a lot of things are generally downhill when going to work. If it's heading back, it's going uphill. Can't say I love the unstable level of land here but at least this area isn't liable to flooding.

Yeah, that'll be the idea. This would be exceptional to go to a festival since after all, Germany just seem to do it a whole lot better. Mind you, IF I was to have a relationship with someone outside Britain, Germany is one place I wouldn't rule out providing there are reliable trains from London to get there.

Well, there was the Queen musical... and "Ton Steine Scherben" (a german punk band from the 70's/80's) had a tour with a different singer. It worked really well. Also, the Ramones are still on stage, even though only Marky remains from one of the "real" Ramones.

More work done to sort out crap in my bedroom, even though I didn't get a say on when I could go through my wardrobe. At least now all of that is cleared out and it's just a few drawers to sort out and then that'll be everything I don't want out of the house. On another note, I had another good night sleep, although I did sleep a little longer than needed. What do you expect when you're sleeping on a really comfortable bed and it feels so cold outside?

That's good to hear. It should be easier to adjust your sleeping times a bit more towards "normal sleeping times" now.

Yeah, I woke up at 11:30AM today. Still fine and maybe if I'm wearing myself out with work around the house, it'll be another easy night.

Who knows, but they should still have their own show. Fuck going to Download just for one band.
Yeah, attending a whole festival for just one band isn't that great.

Especially when Download tend to have terrible bands on. It's bad enough Maiden have shit choices for support act for their live shows.

You'd have to get to Germany via France if you want to go by train, as far as I know. Planes are a much faster way to get here. ;)

Not much of a surprise there. I'm more comfortable with trains than I am with planes. And besides, trains should be cheaper than planes.

First real job? By then (2006), I was working in an office and had been for a year. Now I've left that place behind and have taken another massive step forward. But hey, that's me.

I'd still take a chance to see Maiden again over any other band...
I would still love to see them, though I would want to see Rush first.

If only for Neil Peart.

except perhaps Michael Jackson or Queen, but since they are dead, that might be a factor in it.
If I had a time machine I would have to see Alice in Chains with Layne Staley, like back in 1992. That or Metallica with Cliff Burton...like 1984. :P

Burton was awesome. One of the greatest dead rock stars, much like Keith Moon.

Well, there was the Queen musical... and "Ton Steine Scherben" (a german punk band from the 70's/80's) had a tour with a different singer. It worked really well. Also, the Ramones are still on stage, even though only Marky remains from one of the "real" Ramones.

And even Led Zeppelin where up on stage once more, so "never say never".

The only reason I say never is that No-one could replace Freddie Mercury, like no-one could replace Michael Jackson. Sure, the music will be good, but it's not the same without them.

Good question. There's a girl I know who was put on ritalin as a kid and her mom has since allowed the addition of several other meds since. It's to the point now where she needs them just to function normally in pretty much every way -not to mention she's underweight because the shit she's on suppresses appetite. Watching that kind of thing develop over the years has instilled in me a dislike for prescription drugs.

Jesus. That goes to show what bad it can do to a human being. I try to not take allergy tablets all the time just to settle eczema down. If it feels like I won't get comfortable shortly, then it's necessary but I can go a few weeks without the need to take any.

Eh, you have to book TWO journeys just to get to Germany from here by train. Well, there's a matter of getting to London by train first. :P Shame it can't be more like National Rail where it acknowledges multiple changes along the journey. Thankfully this isn't something I need to worry about for the time being. Unless it becomes a planned family holiday, I'll only go to Germany for either live shows or if it so happens a relationship with someone will be there but that idea is highly unlikely.
