Well, not really, but that's just how the stars aligned.

If you haven't posted, it helps if I do double check the thread before making my post. At least this is only likely to occur on Saturdays.

At times they're not understanding at all, which is why I never told them about Newgrounds, not even now.
Every now and again, I show my parents some of the funny pieces that I find on here. They all laughed at Dot Dot Dot...

Good, you made the most of barbeque weather then.
No, it was raining. We just didn't care.

Yeah, I know, I'm living in the past, but these new level icons really do suck that bad. (These shurikens are ok, I guess...)

I'll be back with a couple more milestones in a few days...

Yeah, sometimes it's a thin line between "healthy drinking" and "alcoholism".
I wouldn't call it "healthy drinking" by any stretch of the imagination. It's just that drinking more in one hit is worse for you than having the occasional glass of something with a meal, or with friends.

The dose makes the poison. A small glass of wine won't hurt you, but it can be stress reliefing. However, if you drink a whole bottle of wine each day... I guess that's what you can call "unhealthy".

I shaved yesterday, thought I'd speed shave how you did and I was actually good, I got most of it in about 3 minutes and did fine tuning for 2 so 5 minutes shaving isn't bad. I did cut myself once but cutting myself first time doing it that fast was expected.

Most of my tips on how to shave came from watching the Gillette adverts. But that guy inclines his head up and takes a swipe straight down from the base of his sideburn to the end of his neck-beard. I've never been able to do that.

Don't forget, I've been shaving (almost) daily for 16 years.
I don't grow beards that fast at all, once a week on a sunday for me.

My best friend is blonde and can't grow facial hair anywhere near as well as I can. His Movember effort looked like mine did on day 2!

140,000 total points!

It's rare I even get total point milestones these days. The way I'm going, it'll take me two years just to reach 150,000 total points. I better get to work on earning medals but for now, there is more milestones to come later this week.

My mum has found a few things my sister put on Facebook to be inappropriate so yeah.... Sometimes she doesn't allow us to have free speech.

Inappropriate? With the way that we discuss politics on here, I'm sure that some people would say that it was inappropriate.

"What the chancellor does not realise, Mr. Speaker, is that my right honourable friend Mr. Balls is trying to address the chancellor as a fucking cunt."

You don't expect this country to have sunny weather. Wait, if I'm saying that, then why is the sun glaring right at me?
This is why I'm listening to the Foos at the moment...
And it's always this time of year where the sun really shines into my eyes. I may have to get out my shades at this point and this is fucking December.

I'll be driving to work in them at some stage, since it will be lighting up down the M5, but the glare may be from my mirrors, as I'll be heading south west and returning home north east.

Thanks.

Speaking of what we are listening too... does anyone use iPod and iTunes? I downloaded the new iTunes control panel and boy it sucks :-(

I use iTunes and an iPod, but I've not downloaded the new one yet...

Nice idiom.

Isn't it just?

A whole bottle isn't all as bad as it sounds. Real alcoholics tend to start in the morning when they get up and not stop. A whole bottle wouldn't last until lunch with them.
There are no "real" alcoholics, since there are no "not real" alcoholics. You can be an alcoholic if you drink one bottle of wine each day. You can be an alcoholic if you don't drink anything, except for some weekends, where you drink huge amounts of alcohol... you can also be an alcoholic, if you drink only one glass of wine as a stress reliever each day... or you just drink the wine, because you want it, not because you NEED it.
I stand corrected.
Well, my grandfather used to be an alcoholic (he died a long time ago. If the alcohol had something to do with it, I don't know. But it is possible), so it's a very personal matter... and that's why I know quite a lot about alcoholics.

Fair enough. I know a couple of recovering alcoholics, who have been dry for over a decade combined, which is some achievement. After my paternal grandmother passed away, my grandfather tried to drink himself to death, but he failed. That is nearly six years ago and he's still with us...

I remember so many people bitching about those two levels both being shurikens. :P

Level 17 was where I began in 2007. I had made it as far as level 12 in the first NG layout.

I think I got Level 17 in the older NG, then 33-53 in 2007 on, now being at 54, post redesign.

I've never tried it, so I can't say anything about it. But lots of people I know say that Guinness isn't really that great. But Kilkenny is nice! I know, it's Irish and not British... but who the hell cares.

Fuck those guys, Guinness is an awesome drink. I'll bring Dean in here to back me up on that!

Being an '01 user, I'd say you have. You must have missed a lot of deposits earlier on, as you've been consistently active now for quite a long time. (And at least you're relatively close now at level 50.) :P

That's what you get for being inactive for about 3 years.
I don't even know what brought me back here, haha.

Craig Ferguson (that guy from The Late Late Show on CBS) has told some stories about his alcoholism, for example when Brittney Spears went into rehab. Very interesting.
But drinking yourself to death... hm, there are a lot quicker and less painful ways to end your own life. When I was doing my civillian service, I saw a guy who was in his mid 30's... he looked like he was 70! I asked one of the nurses what was up with this guy and she said: "He drank his whole life away."
He died a few days later.

If you can ever get your hands on it, you should try out Owusu Dark. It's an african beer: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/owusu-dark/57918/

That stuff is viscous! Quite an experience.

I've seen my fair share of alcoholism in my family, as well. My grandmother did manage to drink herself to death and my uncle has been in and out of jail and without a driver's license for most of his adult life due to the stupid crap he did while drinking. It's taught me a hardy respect for moderation, that's for sure. :\

On the topic of exp. levels, I'd imagine it must be slightly bittersweet, reaching level 60. You know, seeings how you'll never level up again. (Unless more levels are added at some point down the road, that is.) Hopefully there wont be, or I'll be fucking 90 before I finally reach the end with all my missed deposits. lmao

Homebrew made from a high-quality extract kit is actually quite good. Not to mention that the beer you make yourself is the best beer you'll ever taste, believe me. :P Maybe others wouldn't agree, but who gives a shit what they think. lol

I've got at least 3 years of inactivity under my belt now... :'( Back when I was a noob I was dead set on getting Supreme Commander and keeping a perfect deposit rating -at least I was able to achieve one of those things.

Oh, and I just got 37,000 b/p.

Alice Cooper did a couple of bottles of Jack Daniels a day, in the 1970s - he looks that old now, because of it. But the good thing from his point of view is that now his age (He'll be 65 in a few months) is catching up his looks. Not a drop since 1978.

I did have the wild period when I was younger, but I associate that with University and the first taste of being responsible for one's self. I've matured a little since then.

I saw Alice Cooper with Heaven and Hell (freaking awesome) a few years back and was amazed at how quick and graceful he still is for his age -he sure puts on a hell of a show.

I'm getting there, but look at it like this - I've passed 30,000 B/P and I'm still going.

This is true, but it's just so much easier to reach Supreme Commander. You might reach SC in a couple years (or less -though that's no longer possible these days) but leveling up in exp. is something that's ALWAYS there. I would imagine that it would be slightly sad to finally reach the final level and be done leveling on NG for good in both exp. and b/p. (Hell knows I wish there were a few more b/p ranks to strive for. Or at least VP increases, which is something I remember discussing with you a few years back.) :P
