Inappropriate? With the way that we discuss politics on here, I'm sure that some people would say that it was inappropriate.

And it's always this time of year where the sun really shines into my eyes. I may have to get out my shades at this point and this is fucking December. You don't expect this country to have sunny weather. Wait, if I'm saying that, then why is the sun glaring right at me?This is why I'm listening to the Foos at the moment...
I'll be driving to work in them at some stage, since it will be lighting up down the M5, but the glare may be from my mirrors, as I'll be heading south west and returning home north east.

Speaking of what we are listening too... does anyone use iPod and iTunes? I downloaded the new iTunes control panel and boy it sucks :-(
I use iTunes and an iPod, but I've not downloaded the new one yet...

I understand mate. If you need someone to talk to, you know where to find me. Failing that, follow Milton Jones on Twitter - you might get a decent joke or two on there.

Well, my grandfather used to be an alcoholic (he died a long time ago. If the alcohol had something to do with it, I don't know. But it is possible), so it's a very personal matter... and that's why I know quite a lot about alcoholics.I stand corrected.A whole bottle isn't all as bad as it sounds. Real alcoholics tend to start in the morning when they get up and not stop. A whole bottle wouldn't last until lunch with them. There are no "real" alcoholics, since there are no "not real" alcoholics. You can be an alcoholic if you drink one bottle of wine each day. You can be an alcoholic if you don't drink anything, except for some weekends, where you drink huge amounts of alcohol... you can also be an alcoholic, if you drink only one glass of wine as a stress reliever each day... or you just drink the wine, because you want it, not because you NEED it.
Fair enough. I know a couple of recovering alcoholics, who have been dry for over a decade combined, which is some achievement. After my paternal grandmother passed away, my grandfather tried to drink himself to death, but he failed. That is nearly six years ago and he's still with us...

Level 17 was where I began in 2007. I had made it as far as level 12 in the first NG layout.
I think I got Level 17 in the older NG, then 33-53 in 2007 on, now being at 54, post redesign.

Can we start with Guinness? I know it's not cider but it's still a good start.I've never tried it, so I can't say anything about it. But lots of people I know say that Guinness isn't really that great. But Kilkenny is nice! I know, it's Irish and not British... but who the hell cares.

Craig Ferguson (that guy from The Late Late Show on CBS) has told some stories about his alcoholism, for example when Brittney Spears went into rehab. Very interesting.
But drinking yourself to death... hm, there are a lot quicker and less painful ways to end your own life. When I was doing my civillian service, I saw a guy who was in his mid 30's... he looked like he was 70! I asked one of the nurses what was up with this guy and she said: "He drank his whole life away."
He died a few days later.

If you can ever get your hands on it, you should try out Owusu Dark. It's an african beer: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/owusu-dark/57918/
That stuff is viscous! Quite an experience.

I've seen my fair share of alcoholism in my family, as well. My grandmother did manage to drink herself to death and my uncle has been in and out of jail and without a driver's license for most of his adult life due to the stupid crap he did while drinking. It's taught me a hardy respect for moderation, that's for sure. :\

On the topic of exp. levels, I'd imagine it must be slightly bittersweet, reaching level 60. You know, seeings how you'll never level up again. (Unless more levels are added at some point down the road, that is.) Hopefully there wont be, or I'll be fucking 90 before I finally reach the end with all my missed deposits. lmao

Homebrew made from a high-quality extract kit is actually quite good. Not to mention that the beer you make yourself is the best beer you'll ever taste, believe me. :P Maybe others wouldn't agree, but who gives a shit what they think. lol

I've got at least 3 years of inactivity under my belt now... :'( Back when I was a noob I was dead set on getting Supreme Commander and keeping a perfect deposit rating -at least I was able to achieve one of those things.
Oh, and I just got 37,000 b/p.

Alice Cooper did a couple of bottles of Jack Daniels a day, in the 1970s - he looks that old now, because of it. But the good thing from his point of view is that now his age (He'll be 65 in a few months) is catching up his looks. Not a drop since 1978.

I did have the wild period when I was younger, but I associate that with University and the first taste of being responsible for one's self. I've matured a little since then.
