I have the same problem with Fagamut. Might just stop him at a certain figure for EXP. EmoDragon will stop at level 49 but the rest I have no confirmation for when I'll stop them, especially when I had to bring Bahamut7 out of retirement. I'm going to guess we get another redesign by the end of the decade and they'll change the level icons around again. I do wonder if it's even worth retiring them at certain levels anymore.

I remember one session, where we tried GURPS for the very first time. After two hours, we where done setting up the characters. After two minutes, the game was finished, with all but two characters being dead.

Illusions are lame. At least, when I'm not the one creating them. Once in Vampire: The Masquerade, me and a friend both played as a Ravnos. They can create illusions and often are gamblers or gypsies... I cannot understand why the rest of the group didn't like us. After all, we saved their asses more than once!

Sounds interesting. No, TDE is just a shitty system. I once had combat with no rolls and that was fun, just deciding what happens on a whim, as DM.
I remember one session, where we tried GURPS for the very first time. After two hours, we where done setting up the characters. After two minutes, the game was finished, with all but two characters being dead.
That sounds like poor DMing, or very poor decisions from the players. It's session 1, so dream sequence it, get them together and start over, perhaps with a degree of paranoia...
Illusions are lame. At least, when I'm not the one creating them. Once in Vampire: The Masquerade, me and a friend both played as a Ravnos. After all, we saved their asses more than once!At least you have the time to make some witty or cool remarks before going down. Or maybe something funny. It turns out that the pirate's arch-nemesis is on board the most feared pirate vessel in the known world - the Crimson Roger. They boarded and lived to tell the tale, as well. I stayed wet enough, during the storm, but still lashed to the helm.
There are worse clans than the Ravnos - Tzimictze (sp?) for example. One of them sealed up a ghouls' sphincter, using visicitude and the idea of "tearing him a new arsehole" suddenly became rather appealing.

Poor DMing? No. Poor decisions from the players? Maybe... I remember the following: Huge battle was going on. Player 1 survived it and was wandering over the battle field. Players 2 and 3 come along. They think: "Hey, let's loot the corpses!"
Player 1 says: "Don't touch my fallen comrades!". Player 2 tries to beat up Player 1, who in the process kills both (2 and 3). Player 4 was watching this from a distance, and decided to shoot player 1. My character was watching from a distance as well. I tried shooting Player 4, but missed. After that, I escaped (I was playing a cowardly race, so I just acted as the typical guy from that race would). Game over.
We didn't bother with a second round, because it was very late already. But it was a funny game anyway. ^^

Oh, we've had similar. Rogue has been pissing off the Paladin all day, during a dungeon crawl, as he failed his sleight of hand roll, so he let the Paladin see him stealing various objects of great worth. When the rogue tries to open a locked door, he sets off a pit trap and falls in. The Paladin is the only one with a rope. He will only help the rogue, if he apologies to him for stealing. Rogue refuses; Paladin says that this is a slight against his god. The Rogue responds with "your god's a wanker!" comments. The pit closes.
The party rigs up a way of opening the trap again, but the argument continues, until the trap shuts once more. DM getting frustrated by this point, when they open the trap for the third time, the ceiling opens, to dump a load of refuse on the rogue. The party lets him drown in it.

Nice story. But the DM should never get frustrated. Nothing better than a party that nearly kills themselves due to stupid arguments. Less work for the DM. ^^
