It could have been a games workshop. :P I was stuck in that shop for an hour two weeks ago because of a friend of mine talking about getting into Warhammer.

Well, that was what got me into D&D, so it's not all bad. On a similar note, my ex-girlfriend's birthday involved RPing and I took over, thus probably pissing her off.

And every time I talk about Magic at one game shop, I'm getting bombarded with information about cards I don't even know about at all. A friend of mine was kind enough to give me some of his old Magic drakes and wurms, even though the latter is rather inconsistent for what I'd relate to dragons.

Yeah, but if you tried to make a magic deck from those cards for just wurms, drakes or dragons, you would suffer - they cost so much to play and building up a quick stockpile of them isn't going to happen. Sure, if you live long enough, there's little that can be done against you, but the tactics are limited.

And recently I've had more ideas for karaoke. Dammit, we need a Summer meet. Fuck you London Olympics.

Care to share these ideas?

Goblin decks are amazing. When I still played Magic I had a Goblin deck with all kinds of Goblins. Of course, the Goblin King was part of the deck as well as a mystic compass (turn any standard land into any other standard land -> using it to turn any land the opponent might have into a mountain). And I also had a Shivan Dragon included, just for the lulz.
Oh yeah, and "Goblin Warrens": Pay Mana,Sacrifice two Goblins and bring 3 Goblin tokens into play. Treat the tokes as 1/1 Goblin Creatures.

I know when you get a new Rank in B/P (Private, Corporal, etc.) your voting power goes up, but I also thought it went up when you ranked up a level, and yet when I went from Level 10 to Level 11, none of my voting power raised. Is that normal or are you supposed to get a rise in vote power whenever you level up (like I thought was supposed to happen).

Your voting power rises with your Experience points. While Experience points do have an effect on your level (the more experienced you are, the higher your level is) the level does not have a direct effect on your voting power.
I don't know the exact formula for the voting power, but it rises faster when you have less Exp (so, the more Exp you have, the slower your voting power rises).

The B/P rank gives you a bonus on your voting power. So, your base voting power stays the same, but your total voting power rises due to a higher bonus from a higher B/P rank.

Your base voting power creeps up gradually with every deposit. It's exponential, so the more deposits you have made, the less it increases with each passing deposit.

Every B/P rank you increase, you get a bonus to this Voting Power, to reach your total.

Total VP = Base VP (Experience based, maximum of 10) + B/P Bonus (up to 60%)

The maximum total voting power you can get is 16 votes.

It's a great show. The only thing I somewhat don't like about it is that it's obvious that they're just trying to increase the ratings of the show by adding sex or nudity in every episode. It's based on a book, which had a lot less sex than what is shown in the show.
