Man, I wish I had two major dinners of Christmas. Christmas dinner is looking pretty thin at the moment. I might get creative and order a pizza instead.

A pizza? Man, that sounds a little sad actually :(

Don't you have family and friends to go to?

There are other sites where you can watch highlights. And if everything else fails, there's also the official site where they show highlights for free. ^^

I believe here the official highlights site belongs to a channel you have to pay for, so I don't even have access to them. But oh well, the highlights are always broadcasted on Sunday at 19:00 which is a time I can usually watch them anyway. And if not, well too bad. I don't mind missing them every now and again. It's not like the matches are always that interesting anyway.

Well we don't care much about the subs.
But the subs are part of the team as well!

No! They're just as useful as the supporters until they step into the field!

Thankfully CapnCrunch and Zerok aren't too far ahead of me now so I can secure myself at being number 8. *burp*
Well congrats. That is a pretty awesome achievement and I know you didn't reach it spamming your way up.
To be fair, I've had myself backed up with B/P update posts but at least I help with people in the process. Also to add, pretty much all of my first 10,000 posts are crap but everyone is surely guilty of the same.

I've always cared too much about not spamming, so I think even my first batch of posts weren't all that crappy. Although I can't really remember them that well.... I'm sure my English was pretty bad back then though (relatively speaking).

And well.. those B/P update posts probably had more effort put into them than the majority of other posts on the forum so it's alright.

Two hours is the Suburban Knight TGWTG special. The Moulin Rouge review is 45 minutes long. It's ridiculous considering how much could have been cut out to go straight to the point.

Well I've sat through Spoony's one-and-a-half hour's Twilight Breaking Dawn review, so I suppose I can handle a 45 minutes long review as well. As long as I just do it in multiple sits. Although the topic sounds a bit boring, I never cared much for musicals.

Yeah, but if the multiplayer is very addicting then it can also really drain your time.
Heh, I don't even play that much multiplayer these days. Even TF2 went out the window for me.

Oh I had quit playing TF2 from the summer holidays until about December (making an exception for Halloween), but I recently started playing again. I suppose that soon I'll get tired of it again though.

Also while you are at "passing messages", can you go to Leo's Fish Bar on Oldham Street and tell them that their Full English Breakfast isn't really that good? The sausages where quite raw and the mushrooms didn't taste good as well.

I'm not sure about this. Although hipsters seem to have more of an impact on the internet and such, when walking around the streets I seem to find emos far more common, although a few of the people I know whom used to call themselves 'emo' have been slowly swinging over towards the 'hipster' subculture instead.

I'm amazed the emo trend still exists but apparently it does.

Now, to do that final dozen icons in my current batch. :3

The highest deactivated account is close to level 44 so once you're there your rank should be synced with the NG rankings. That one level 50 user who got deactivated is now back in the rankings so you won't have to worry about going all the way to level 50 just so both ranks are consistent.

Maybe it's just that the Eredivisie isn't as interesting as the Bundesliga? :P
Perhaps the level lies a bit higher in the Bundesliga, but I think both are actually pretty interesting in comparison to the Primera Division and Premier League. I mean, at least there are not only two teams figthing for the title year in, year out.

All of those leagues have to be more interesting than the Scottish Premier League, haha.

Also, what's up with Ajax vs Alkmaar? Is there a replay?

No! They're just as useful as the supporters until they step into the field!
See, that's why you will never win a big tournament again... :P
I'm telling you: We're going to win Euro 2012!

I kind of have the same feeling. It's the best german team ever right now and for the past tournaments. But if they don't win a title, then all the effort will be worth nothing...

Well, my circumstances show me that it's not looking all that good for my attendance in Manchester at the moment, which isn't fair :(

Yeah, but like I said, building houses in this climate is difficult, to say the least.

I do that for the most part. I seem to be too in date with the trends that go on.

I just pick up on some of the trends that do occur, but they're more like Twitter trends, or whatever the hell you'd call them on General - shooting down Bon Jovi's death and reporting about a baby with two heads.

An unofficial London meet? Even if Luis won't be there, that doesn't mean we can't arrange something oursleves. :)
During the Olympics? Get real.
Do you really think I was going to consider that time? How about before or after when it should be clear?

We'll see - I have no idea on employment status and therefore my bank balance by then, so bear with me.

You are going to Piccadilly Station anyway, right? Oldham Street is just around the corner... well, not EXACTLY around the corner, but only about a 5 minute walk. :P

I've found myself lost in Manchester a few times so even if it's 5 minutes, forget it.

Excellent idea!
Would be interesting if you had to take your meal while you are parachuting.

There needs to be a video of this. Any action film doing this sequence would get auto approval from me. :)

I like my gold.
No surprises there. But it's still possible that it isn't "gold" but just plain butter.

But it's more valuable.

I thought we had that already but in non-British form.
If it was a non-British form then it couldn't have been a "New Wave of British Heavy Metal".

I mean the sound of NWOBHM from different countries like Sweden.

I'm sure there's a lot of stupid shit to find. Would be fun if ED were to make fun of me and go through them. :P

Oh well, we were 14 - 15 at the time? You can always blame it on having been a teenager.

Heh, I just watched the first 10 minutes or so and I agree the songs they wrote themselves do kinda suck. At least, on a technical level.
Sucks in every sense.

Well the second one was kinda catchy, but... it was of course just the Moulin Rouge song ripped down and the lyrics / singing were pretty simplistic and slow (I think they went twice as slow as in the original).

The review itself looks alright though, but I don't know if they really had to go through the whole film that way. I mean, he basically gave his overall opinion in the first couple of minutes already. I don't see any need for breaking the film down piece by piece.
If only this was some 10 minute review but no, they had to stretch it out as much as they could. They may as well have riffed on the movie. That actually sounds like a better idea and I honestly wouldn't mind Doug having some company with others.

Yeah, like I said, it's way too long and they needn't break it down piece by piece. A little bit of bullshit around the review is fine with me, but 45 minutes? ... Really?

Well there are some vanilla servers, aren't there?
They'll be clogged up by F2P'ers. :P

Perhaps, but they aren't that bad are they? I actually got more annoyed by people whining about F2P'ers. And most of the early F2P'ers (like me) have probably outgrown their noob status by now.

Celtic, Celtic, Celtic...

Looks like Youtube is whiping all the videos off their site.

What happened is that a supporter made his way onto the field and attacked the AZ goalie. However, the AZ goalie defended himself, worked the guy to the ground and kicked him a few times. Conform the football rules, the referee gave the goalie a red card to which the trainer of AZ called his team off the field (the whole team was pretty pissed). Then the match was stopped by the referee.

Haven't seen this happening before.

Yeah indeed we're in the same boat. Guys like Sneijder, van der Vaart and van Persie will all be in their 30's by the next WC and you can't win with a team of grandpa's.

Unfortunately, there aren't that many young talents really making a name of themselves at the moment, so I think WC 2014 won't be that much of a success for us.

I used to get lost like you, but then I took a GPS device in my hand.

Actually, no. Scrap that shitty meme. I never really got lost, I always have a general sense of direction, even in towns I've never been before. Granted, I always study the maps of any town I visit, so that may be helping me out with directions.

Anyway, since I bought a GPS device (many because I got into geocaching last year) I always take that with me along with a compass. So even LESS chances of getting lost!

Excellent idea!

Just imagine, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal in such a scene. Every one of them could show how great their mime game is!

I'm sorry, but I don't think butter is more valuable than metal or wood.

I think it happend only once that the first two teams wheren't Celtic and Rangers at the end of a SPL season. Hearts of Midlothian finished second that year. No league can beat that. Scottish First League is far more balanced. Granted, they play shitty football there, but at least all the players are on the pitch because they have fun doing it. For what those players earn in one month players from United or City wouldn't even tie their shoelaces.

Also, in Austria you have Rapid Wien, Austria Wien and "Red Bull" Salzburg. In Switzerland... Basel (who kicked out Man Utd!), Grashoppers and FC Zürich.

Also, what's up with Ajax vs Alkmaar? Is there a replay?

I think this a very shitty rule. Ok, Brown overreacted (but on the other hand, he got attacked first), but I really don't get why any player would recieve a yellow or a red card if they tackle a fan running on the pitch and disturbing the game. What happens if the guards catch the runner? They tackle him and get him off the ground.
So, if a guard tackles, it's ok. If a player tackles, thus helping the guards, it's a yellow card? How stupid is that?

Haven't seen this happening before.

I remember reading about an incident during one world cup (before yellow and red cards where invented). One player got sent off, but the referee and the player didn't speak the same language. So when the ref said "you are sent off", the player didn't understand him. Finally after 10 minutes of arguing and gesturing, he began walking off the pitch, but the rest of the team followed him. Maybe they thought: "If he leaves the pitch, we do the same!"
Must have been very amusing to witness this live.

I'm telling you: We're going to win Euro 2012!
And I heard that Germany is going to win this time...
HA! Win against Denmark and Portugal perhaps.

And then kicking out Holland in the last group match. That would even be better than winning the title!

No, it wouldn't. But it still would be hilarious!

Also, please leave Kung Fu Nigel at home, that guy is practicing the wrong sport!

If it's not next year then never again.

Yes, it's a real pity to see the career of great players end without winning one international title.
Same with Michael Ballack. He once was the team captain and undisputed in the team. But now he's not even nominated to play anymore.

Unfortunately, there aren't that many young talents really making a name of themselves at the moment, so I think WC 2014 won't be that much of a success for us.

At least the future is looking quite good in germany. Toni Kroos, Marco Reus, Mario Götze, Thomas Müller... it's the result of the shitty performance in EC 2004. Suddendly the bosses of the DFB realized that something has to be done, and something HAD been done.
