Essentially, yes. You can't go playing 50, 40 or even 36 overs a side on a Wednesday evening, as you'll finish in the dark at about 3am on Thursday. It does change the attitude of the fielders and the batsmen for the duration of the game - shorter games, the batsmen take more risks and if you're a good fielding side, you can really restrict them.

It sounds pretty interesting to have a sports match played out over several days. I'm kinda wondering how the players keep themselves focussed for so long and what they do in the inbetween time.

I suppose they designed the ball especially so that it can curve a lot?
It's all in either the fingers, or the wrist action. Sure, if you catch it on the seam, you'll get it to spin a lot, but the proper spinners get the turn from the roughed up leather either side of the seam.

I see. Is this similar to a baseball then?

And because you couldn't really get along well with your brother, right?
I have to get on with him for the kids, but in order not to cause a scene, I'll not be in attendance. I don't want to ruin their day, I just don't want to be hugging the pan in the gents, losing my lunch, either.

Oh well. Free food and drinks at least then...?

That'd be a good name for him too. It's such a shame that he gets injured so much.

Yeah and they won the title if I'm not mistaken. I loved how he reused his speech from when he won the title with AZ Alkmaar in Holland. "Wir sind die besten von Dortmund! Wir sind die besten von Berlin! Wir sind die besten von Hamburg! Und jetzt sind wir die besten von Deutschland!".
Yes, he won the league and the cup. Also, the speech was awesome.

Yeah indeed. Probably one of the best speeches I've heard from a coach who won the title :p

Anyway, it sucks how coaches can go from hero to zero so quickly and always have to take the blame in the football industry. I feel sorry for some of them.
Yeah, somtimes coaches need some time. But they don't get the time they need.
Anyway, I think van Gaal is more like a "dictator" and I guess some players just didn't like that. A man like Mario Gomez (who scored 28 goals last season!) is very sensitive. In one game he just hits the goal with every shot. In other games he wouldn't hit the empty goal from 2 meters away.

Yeah I know he's a bit of an arrogant dick, kinda like Mourinho. He wants everything done his way and he'll kick a scene over it if things aren't quite going as he wishes.

Yes! COOP!!! We require an update!

Well te internet is constantly supplied with 13 year olds so I guess those will stick around for a looong time. As well as Chuck Norris jokes -.-'
Expect the retards to still be obsessed with ponies by 2015 unless something more retarded comes along. It took long enough for them to stop making shitty YouTube Poop videos... Oh wait, some of them still do that.

Oh I'm pretty sure something even more retarded will come along. And then people will still be obsessing over ponies... and Youtube Poop... and over 9000... and Nyan Cat... and planking.

Well a pretty good strategy for Omega is having a Mystic Knight with the Rapid Fire ability use Thundaga Sword (preferably with a powerful weapon like the Chicken Knife) and then have someone with the Mix ability use Dragon Power on him. Then Rapid Fire away. You should deal great damage in one turn, like well over 9,999. Use your other characters to stay alive and cast spells like Hastega. You can take him down in 2-3 rounds if you're lucky.
Oh yes, anything Thunder-related is enough for Omega but he does have strong attacks.

Yeah. He really raped me the first couple of times. And he's fast too, but fortunately you can slow him down a bit with that stop inducing song.

Yeah. I actually find it kinda lame that some great bosses in Final Fantasy games can be crippled so easily. Like when you can hit them with Stop or Sleep or a boss that mostly uses magic with Silence or Berserk... =/
That's actually quite clever of Square. They assumed only the very bored ones would go as far as experimenting with inflicting abnormal status on big bosses. It's like casting zombie on Yu Yevon but less retarded.

But if you make such a big RPG game then people are obviously going to try and get the most out of it and figure everything out it. There are so many FAQs and Let's Plays around for every FF game.

By the way, the undead bosses are the worst =/

On another side note:

Nah, it makes the end of season pitch preparation a little more challenging. Trying to break through a layer of frost, to spike the pitch always is :P

Yeah, but Newgrounds should and does come before gaming :P
Indeed, bought a new PC controller recently and I have to say it feels a lot better than the one I did use. SO my controller for PC/laptop has gone from dinky SNES feel to PS2 feeling which is a lot better for me. I don't have to use some random key on the keyboard as the start button.

All good. I never play games that require controllers on my PC though - that's what I have a Playstation for :P

I could always send a PM or something of songs shorter than 5 minutes when I do the next update if you want. There are song that are over 5 minutes but usually the majority is shorter than 5 minutes.
Nah, it was just the circumstances. I'll get back to it later.

Similar, but most movement from a spinner comes from contact with the ground. Baseball is all done in flight.
Yeah I found it amazing how weird that bowler could make the ball bounce off the ground. I guess they make the field extra smooth for that in professional games.

Smooth is the wrong word. Sure, they cut the grass really short and they roll it a lot, so that the ground is hard, but the surface is quite abrasive and the ball starts to lose shine, from bouncing off it. You can have a new ball after 80 overs, which is 480 deliveries, not counting the times when you bowl a wide or no-ball, which adds one delivery.

I've helped to prepare the wicket for my team, which we do in a combined time of about 10 man-hours. County and International standard pitches probably take 5-10 times that much work. Cut it 5-6 times, each time getting closer to the "scalp", then roll it about as many times, with a 5 tonne roller and put the equipment away, disposing of the cuttings etc. Bring out the marking frame and line it up using all manner of contraptions, to ensure it's 22 yards from middle stump to middle stump. Paint the lines in, mark the stump holes.

Finally, mark the boundary and if you're playing on a Saturday, mark the inner circle out, 30 yards from middle stump at either end and straight lines between the two semi-circles. The players can move sight-screens and boundary markers into position.

Oh well. Free food and drinks at least then...?

Haha, I see. I haven't played mine in ages mostly because my stupid older brother gave it and my N64 along with games away to someone before they got in a fight and were no longer friends so I keep my Gamecube and PS2 put up just incase he gets another shitty idea that he can freely give away whatever else does not belong to him.

Being the older brother, I only swapped my PS2 with my little brother's, when mine started to give me a bit of gyp with disc reading. He never noticed.

Well this week is a balance of audio and art. Hope you can devour the whole list. Smallest one I've made in a good long time. Probably because most of the audio artists are either getting signed up to record labels or something or teenagers having to head back to doing full time school classes now.

We'll see. I'm aiming to get myself sorted with that and find a steady diet of flash, to tide me over.

But you're a decade younger than me...

Has there been any decent Final Fantasy game after X? I got a feeling that they're really trying to overdo it in the last few games.

Let's see.... FFX-2, crap. FFXI, I don't like MMORPGs. FFXII, forgettable. FFXIII, we'll see how this goes. FFXIV, LOL!

Uh oh, we're all getting demanding now.
Let's send him an ultimatum! >:(

Maybe this weekend?

You know, I'm going to see what's next for the internet. I'd like to see where they go next to sink their comedic value even lower. It's sad that I find the Irate Gamer to be funnier than all this crap.
It'd be interesting to see how low they can go.

More like it'll be depressing to see where they go next.

Only the most bored will take those lengths. :P
Yeah I guess. I don't know, making a let's play for one of them seems fun to me, but it's not that there's a game in the series of which I really know everything. Like every little treasure chest, every hidden item, every little sidequest...

That's alright, I never want to watch LPs. Unless it's Spoony's Phantasmagoria 2, of course.

You don't even need to try against them.
Nope. Just throw phoenix down at them and there they go.

Sometimes that doesn't work but potions are still good.

Ahh, shall be sure to give other songs a listen then. Too be honest, I probably spend more time cruising the audio portal for songs than I do on youtube looking for songs from well known bands.

Heh, I've been spending a fair amount of time finding random bands on YouTube. Results have been good, though.

Nah, my schedule is relaxing. I just need to not hit writer's block. I would like to get through FFXIII as fast as I can, though while I'm upstairs on weekends. I won't be touching my PS3 for the next two weeks, though so I better do what I can now.
I have yet to play FF XIII but I really want to. From what I hear the game is alright since the main character is pretty much a female version of Cloud and then they said the game's ending was shitty due to the final boss just being a giant clock with a face on it.

Actually, the first 24 hours of the game is what puts many off. As for the final boss, is that the Clock Crew?

There may be good songs but the horrid ones ruin the concept album experience.

That'd be a good name for him too. It's such a shame that he gets injured so much.

At least Ribéry isn't injured at the moment.

A better speech would be: "Fuck 'em all!"

It may work for a year or two, but a guy who knows how to compromise should be a better coach in the long run.

That only happens to me when Wade goes on a deletion spree.

I logged my stats again shortly after I wrote that post. The stats read "11 blams and 11 saves". ZOMG

The count downs are (usually) for some sort of big achievement, such as 2,000 reviews, a birthday, or something along those lines.

Ah, I see then. Would do a countdown but I could hit 2X00 reviews on any given day making a countdown for me kind of useless I think.

You can do it by how many reviews left. For example: If you're 23 reviews from 2,500 put 23, rather than the day you think you'll get it. But like I said, it's usually a big goal. Like 2,000 or 3,000 reviews. Although IIRC Bahamut did a count down for going to the Londom meet, which isn't really a goal at all.

Actually, I could be biased as well. I'm saying the album isn't good based on some horrible tracks but my defence is that it's a concept album and that experience is ruined if there's songs you don't even want to touch ever again.
