Yes, it's over - emphatically.
Coop bounces around on about 5 hours sleep, to congratulate:
Derek Jeter - 3,000 Major League hits. The first Yankee to do this and I have to say this for my favourite player. Congratulations, El Capitan.

I need to find out what my next countdown should be.
I'm alright for the moment - Alex Rodriguez won't reach 3,000 hits until at least next season :P

Today marks my first anniversary as a forum moderator :)
Happy anniversary.
Thanks. Heh, I still remember that PM you send me with that pretty obvious hidden message XD
Yeah and the one I did for Dream-of-Duke in the Blammers list and only added four key letters, to the rest of gibberish symbols. I think that one was better.

Damn straight. Why would you ever want to turn the stereo down when Fortunate Son is playing?
Because you had a headache? I always obey Lynard Skynard, when they tell me to turn Sweet Home Alabama up as well
Sweet home Alabama!
Where the sky are so blue!
Sweet home Alabama!
Lord I'm coming home to you!
Nice song to sing along with :)
Big wheels keep on turnin'
Carry me home to see my kin.
Singing songs about the Southland
I miss Alabamy once again
And I think it's a sin, yes.
Yeah I guess they're one of those bands plenty of people know, yet they just can't seem to get a major breakthrough.
Less well known acts are great from time to time, but I'll still be a fan of Maiden and Alice :P
Yeah. But on the other hand, there is often a reason why they haven't had a breakthrough. They might have a good song or two and have a decent sound generally, but sometimes that's really it.
I've not heard any of their material for a while, I'll have to ask my cousin, see what he knows.

This will confuse you - the cheat sheet
Yeah, that didn't help at all. Had to laugh when it sad cricket is a simple sport and then list 34 different positions.
I've fielded at most of those over my career. Wicketkeeper and third slip are the two that I probably haven't yet. Oh and Silly point - we never use that one. To keep it simple, I'll probably be mid on / mid off today, with a bit of bowling thrown in there for good measure.
More on the countdown, I did expect reverend to come along and say something about Jeter along the way to spoil it, though he probably knew anyway. Needing two hits, Jeter entered yesterday's game with Tampa and hit a single first up, but then the bomb - only his third of the year to tie the game, which we won, fittingly.
Now to go and ramble about Jeter and his place in history in the baseball thread...
