Well, I have played for football for a long time, so I can usually control myself and gently pass the ball in the corner to score a goal. But there are always those who think their chances of scoring increase if they shoot as hard as they can from as close by as they can :p
The only position I am good at is as a goalie. Also, if people think they have to shoot the ball extra hard, they should be the ones to get the ball back if it goes flying off the field. That'll teach them! ^^
"You should've been a better goalie then."
To be honest I only like to hear that song at the very end of the year when the Dutch top 2000 greatest songs ever ends and Bohemian Rhapsody holds the #1 spot once again.
Dutch Top 2000? With a name like that you'd expect them to play only dutch songs. :P
No the idea is that its the top 2000 best songs ever made according to the people of Holland. Of course there are some Dutch songs in there, but for the wide majority its English music with some French and German songs here and there.
The top 5 tends to be something like:
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
The Eagles - Hotel California
Boudewijn de Groot - Avond
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
Deep Purple - Child in Time
Occasionally Meat Loaf - Paradise by the Dashboard Light makes it or some other classic. It's a pretty nice list to listen to. It always gets broadcasted from Christmas to New Years (#1 ending when the clock strikes 12).
Lol. I don't know if I'd rather be with a Polish or with a Spanish driver... perhaps the Spanish one cause at least he might be sober :p
Hey, the bus drives where really cool guys.
That doesn't mean they were sober :p
In case there are any Polish users around here, j/k ;)
My ancestors are from poland! I should report you to an admin so you lose your mod status! >:(
FUUUUUUU-
Anything I can do to keep you quiet?

Congrats! I've grown quite fond of that icon.
Thanks. Yes, it is one of my favorites ever since the redesign. I hope I can wear it a little longer (ie, the re-redesign shouldn't happen too soon...)
I don't know, it could happen any day now.

I was just very disappointed at how it was described in the book. It was something like: Everybody was fighting the war of five races, all hell broke loose AND IN THE MEANTIME Smaug flew over Laketown and Bard gets a lucky shot, kills him and afterwards he is crowned king. I can not remember Bard doing anything else in the plot.
I wonder how it will look in the film.
Hopefully it won't be lame. Also, hopefully they will show the war and won't do it like the book with Bilbo passing out and missing everything.
Ah yes, that's what it was. Could be a good role for Stephen Fry, but I do hope he doesn't make it too comical.
Stephen is a good actor - just like Hugh Lawrie, his comedy partner. He's a great choice.
He's definitely a good actor and the role does probably suit him.

Only to the age of 24 apparently. I guess his early death did help turning him into an icon for the youth.
Youth and talent are no match for age and treachery. The best T-Shirt motto I have seen for a while
Sure beats "I'm with stupid >", "I'm with stupid ^", "FBI: Female Body Inspector" or "My mother went to France and all I got was this lousy T-shirt".

Like I already stated before: It used to be an end point. Enough reason for some people to quit BPing. However, nowadays you're hardly in the top 200 and still hardly matter in BP land. You gotta keep on going if you want to impress anyone.
But of course. I just miss the times when Supreme Commander was something special. Oh well, at least having over 70k B/P is a more impressive count.
That probably won't go out of style anytime soon.
Thinking of some cool numbers. Perhaps something like 30k:70k?
That's reversing what Denvish did.
Exactly. Might be a nice tribute.
Yeah well my calculations are also provided we keep these rates constant. It might be shorter, but it will be a long time nonetheless. I will reach 100k somewhere late 2012 probably. I don't think he will have passed me yet by then.
And now I realise how slow the portal truly is.
Yeah. 10,000 BP may not seem like much, but it is still a lot of points that will take most 0.5-1 year to acquire.
You mean for the Reviewers List? I could, but it'd be too inaccurate with the people I have right now. I'd need more usernames to track.
I thought you'd be alright with it. How much does the one ranked at 150 have?
To be honest I just got a bunch of people listed at random after #105. Some only have around 400 reviews, but are writing a few every now and again. If I were to make a top 150 now, I'd probably have to include myself and I know it will be a bollocks list. I should probably dig up one of my old top 150 updates first.
Indeed. But fortunately there's less point comparing your own gains on the VP list if you just don't miss any deposits. You'll always get the max possible anyway.
Eh, I just like to see the VP list going on. If we leave it for so long we'll get too many rank uppers for B/P.
Those guys always suck balls. I hate being bumped down, knowing I might never have a chance to pass them again.
Blow it out your ass!
Your ass, your face, what's the difference?
I like a good cigar...and a bad woman...
By the way, Ultor is another candidate right? Although if he keeps posting like he does, it'll still take him years to get those last 100 posts.
Mentioning Ultor just makes me laugh. He's trying so hard to get to 10k posts and even admits to aiming for it.
I was guessing that was his ultimate goal. I don't know why he still hasn't realized that posting normally without spamming will get him to 10k that much faster.

No most people live in the towns. There are only four real major cities. Utrecht is the last one with 300,000 inhabitants. Makes about 2.2 million in total people living in the 'big cities'. The rest live in minor cities or towns.
I would have figured that since it's so small that it was almost one big city with even your rural areas being somewhat populated.
Lol yeah. It's odd how Paris alone has about as many inhabitants as our whole country :p
But yeah, most live near the coast. Has a lot to do with the harbors and the trading companies of the 17th century I guess.
I would have figured so, since the Netherlands were a major power in trade back in the 1600s.
We refer to it as "the golden age". The age in which the Netherlands was one of the most powerful and wealthiest nations in the world due to having the largest merchant fleet and a great military fleet as well. Several naval wars against the Brits, French and Spaniards were won.
Now our military really doesn't matter anymore in the world and the economy isn't exactly superb either :p
Exactly. As a small country we are very dependant of importing and trading.
But sometimes I guess it is also for the taste. You know... oranges from this country taste better than the oranges from that country.
In the US, it's more or less whatever is in season where ever they are from and at the lowest cost. Taste seems to be on the back burner.
Oh well, if they're out of season then they're usually no good either.
