Magneton wasn't able to learn Thunder Bolt so a friend of mine had to give it a Thunder Bolt TM. In HG/SS, getting the Flamethrower / Ice Beam / Thunder Bolt TMs were a bitch to get, especially when you could only get them by playing Voltorbsweeper.
Later on I went over to Zapdos. I know using legendaries is lame, but he brings back good memories from the Red/Blue era where I pretty much always used Zapdos or Articuno as soon as I could get them.
Zapdos is awesome.
They should be better than that. The other high tier Pokemon of those kind are Electivire and Magmortar. Those two looked pretty good to me, but you had to go through some stuff to evolve them. If you could evolve them more easily I would've probably used them.
I can't remember the evolution method for them now but they must be worth it.
It doesn't feel that special to me now. :PI don't think many people pay attention to any other statistics beyond having 10k of something. But only three 4x20k'ers still makes it special to me.

I'm not that extreme like some other people, but I currently own 4 consoles and over 100 games. I think once I earn my own money the collection might grow to over 1,000 games. XD
I think I know what you mean. I'd love to have a room with a huge bookshelf where I can put all my DVDs, games, books and whatever. And a very comfy chair and a fire place.
I don't know what kind of people they are... Perhaps they suddenly decided to throw a party at their place every week?At first I thought they have some visitors, but it looks like all of them are going to stay.
Heh, are you sure they're not simply letting some people live there but pretend they're only guests?
Yeah, people are sometimes a bit amazed as well at how long I have to travel. I think within 90 minutes is perfectly doable though. I don't have to wake up that early and I won't be home that late. No need to go spend hundreds of euros per month on some room just so I can sleep for an extra hour.Plus, you can have a nap or do some homework for Uni while you travel.
It's pretty cool, usually I wake up exactly at the station I have to get off. So I can sleep a bit longer and when I arrive at the Uni I am pretty well rested. XD
I can never sleep while travelling, but yeah... it's pretty convenient for homework and such. I can check up on some last things before an exam for example.
Indeed. Most of them seem happy or proud even that they 'live on their own' now. Though some of them can hardly take care of themself yet. I know of some guys who only eat microwaved pizzas everyday and their house is one big mess cause they never clean up anything =/If I hadn't moved in with my gf, I would be the same. ^^
My desk is a bit of a mess, but for the rest I like to keep things clean. As for the food... well I'm pretty clumsy in the kitchen, but I can at least make a few simple things that are a lot healthier than microwaved pizzas. I'm sure I'd feel pretty sick in a few days if I only ate the same kind of cheap food every day.
But yeah, it's good that I have a girlfriend because she loves to cook and she's much better at it than I am. I'm sure that together we can keep the household running just fine.
I don't know if they still sell them there. They do. Some companies learned that LPs are still selling well, so that's why you usually see an LP section in bigger music stores.
One of my friends only buys his music on LPs (remember the discussion about the "loudness war"? I guess that's the reason why some people are back to buy LPs).
I see. I do know one guy who got his hands on a fairly new LP player. He said it was a second hand one made in 2004 or so. He also bought a lot of LPs cause they're pretty cheap nowadays, you could get them at thriftstores for less than a euro each (except for the rare ones of course).
It certainly doesn't sound English to me, and don't you guys have places like Hoffenheim? Hassel also looks like a German word to me.Yes, Hoffenheim is a small town in germany, but "Hassel"? Hm, I don't know. It is similar to "hassen" ("to hate") and to "Hasel" ("Hazel").
But it's pronounced different, obviously. Maybe I can make his name look dutch if I add a "van" to it? "Van Hasselhoff". ^^
If you got rid of the second f than yeah, it would sound quite Dutch. I would believe someone named van Hasselhof had Dutch parents.
Well I haven't seen it either, but the reviews I heard were not too positive. One of the major complaints from the fans was the new car they used :pYes, the new car sucks major ass!
The series is so... "stylish" and everything seems to be so perfect. The old series had some kind of trashy charme. This is completly lost in the new series.
I guess the older series has a bit of an 80's vibe to it, with fashion of that era, technology of that era etc. Stuff that we laugh at now. If you modernize all that I suppose it just doesn't feel the same.

In the past I could never sleep on a train as well, but then I had to get up quite early, so I just developed this "wake up on time" skill, which only failed me twice so far. But twice I traveled only one station too far, which isn't too much of a problem.
If I hadn't moved in with my gf, I would be the same. ^^My desk is a bit of a mess, but for the rest I like to keep things clean. As for the food... well I'm pretty clumsy in the kitchen, but I can at least make a few simple things that are a lot healthier than microwaved pizzas. I'm sure I'd feel pretty sick in a few days if I only ate the same kind of cheap food every day.
Well, I wouldn't eat Pizza every day, that's for sure. But I wouldn't cook either. There are some pretty good frozen foods, which aren't too unhealthy either.
If you got rid of the second f than yeah, it would sound quite Dutch. I would believe someone named van Hasselhof had Dutch parents.
You know, I think the reason why "Hasselhoff" doesn't sound german to me is because it's unusual to have the "-hoff" at the end of the name. Right now, now famous person with "-hoff" comes to my mind, but I know some people with "Hoff-" at the beginning of their last name.
I guess the older series has a bit of an 80's vibe to it, with fashion of that era, technology of that era etc. Stuff that we laugh at now. If you modernize all that I suppose it just doesn't feel the same.
Exactly. The stuff they show in the old series was something to dream about. "Oh, wouldn't it be cool, if...". The stuff they show in the new series is just... well, not the same.

Well, you could leave out the whiskey glass and the toothpik and just have a regular white russian. Vodka isn't too expensive, Kahlua neither. And milk? Well, it's even cheaper!
Besides, Kahlua tastes pretty good.
For the record, should any prospective employer of mine, or indeed my current employer be reading this, I have never and never intend to give heroin a try.
Better to be safe than sorry. ^^

Trust me, you don't want me to sing.
That went too far. Seriously. No, it's awesome music. And besides, this all started when you reminded us that Crazy Frog existed.Crazy Frog > Manowar.
Your quoting of Manowar lyrics wents too far.
WE LIKE IT HARD, WE LIKE IT FAST!WHEN OTHER BANDS PLAY, MANOWAR KILL!Ah, now we have reached the bottom of Manowar's lyrical emissions...
Now, why exactly are the lyrics on St. Anger bad, while at the same time you consider Manowar's lyrics "good"? And no, "they don't mean it seriously" doesn't count, because they really MEAN what they sing. :P
And that song I gave you sounds like a vacuum cleaner so you can hear that already when cleaning the house. :PMaybe you're talking to the odd Noise elitist who doesn't relate it to music?Well, he said something like: "You can listen to music while doing other stuff, like cleaning the house. But when listening to Noise, you have to only do that: Listening."
Yo dawg, I heard you like vacuum cleaners, so we put a vacuum cleaner on your CD, so you can listen to a cleaner while you clean!
7,000 medal points.
And should have 3 more nice achievements in the next 2/3 days.

Listening to:
Stratovarius - Elysium. This is their new album and so far it's on par with Polaris. Not a huge step up but still adequate. What I really hate about this album is the digipack which has a ridiculously shiny cover that makes it almost impossible to even see the album artwork or tracks on the back. Who thought this was a good idea?

I just wonder how things work without a roundabout. :P

I was bad at singing but I did it anyway. We're all bad at singing but we all have fun and you should join as well.
That went too far. Seriously.Your quoting of Manowar lyrics wents too far.
You bringing up Crazy Frog went too far.

Hahaha. I could make that my short review of that very album and it'll still be right.

Ecstatic to have his car back, Coop congratulates:Did they toss in some add-ons like a police push bumper? :P
No, but that would have meant the insurance goes up, which is no good.
Well it's great that you have it back and it didn't take too long all things considered.
A few weeks too long for my liking, but it's still strange driving this beast. The other cars I've driven for any sustained period of time are Seats, while the Ford feels different, with a clutch point about 6" different from Seat's. I'll get used to it.

Now I'm intrigued. Out of morbid curiosity, what would a Crazy Frog cover of Manowar sound like..?
You passed 60000 Total Points. Bodacious!
I have a feeling that took longer than it should have, but oh well I got to it nonetheless. Here's two a couple more milestones in the next week or two and then I'll be done for quite some time again.
