23 is a meh number but 24 will be even better.

To me it is.
Well I will agree if you already have a college degree.

I just feel getting a college degree is a waste of time. Hell, college as a whole to me was a waste of my time. I only had one real year there and only had one AS Level certificate. I had to take Physics at first because Media Studies was full but then I lost interest in Physics and had taster sessions for Media for half of the year. I didn't get an A Level or anything for it. Infact, I only dropped out of Media in the second year after only a few weeks. Computing didn't go well for me either so they just shoved me to another bad subject and then I gave up with the college completely.

I would have been much better off job seeking right after I left school. At least the economy wasn't complete shit back in 2006.

Uhh, my headteacher isn't a man. Anyway, they're trying to get me on for a few more months. Not necessarily the end of the year but at least a few more months to help them out.
These are busy times for them I guess?

No, it's because some staff are on maternity leave so they need them covered. On Thursdays and Fridays, it's only myself in the office to take any phone calls. Without me, they're fucked.

It is. The only way to even get them from battles besides dark aeons is the Battle Arena so that's grinding yourself to battling loads of special fiends and Dark Matters are rare drops.
Shit!

Is there no way to steal them from enemies with a decent success rate?

Nope, you can't even steal Dark Matter at all. Just shows how tedious Square wanted to make for customising abilities that require Dark Matter.

Hmm yes, I didn't care much for Black Lantern Spoony either. I still don't know where exactly that character came from.

He was supposedly the old Spoony revived.... Doesn't make any sense to me.

The sphere grid isn't the best system but it's not terrible. Even if some systems don't work out well such as the junction system from FFVIII, I still liked Square's ambition to make the system of the latest FF game different to all the others. However, those ideas are wearing thin now.
Personally I liked the Materia system of FFVII most, next to the classic system where weaponry learned you skills (like in FFIX). Only downside with the latter was that you could miss weapons or sell them and then you'd never be able to learn all the moves.

The materia system is easily my favourite but I also liked learning magic abilities from espers in FFVI. Sure, that made every character powerful eventually but it made sense.

Well, it's not much of a song anyways. But the fake interview on 45 Revolutions per Minute, Part 2 is pretty funny.

Lol, I've just listened to it. Some weird and funny stuff indeed.

That's strange indeed. Maybe they assumed that everybody knows that all MP3's have a key lock?
Maybe they did, but I have to press the menu button and the play button at the same time for one or two seconds. Not something you would discover by simply "trying out the device".

Not something you would guess, no. Most have a lock function somewhere on the outside of the device.

Maybe the loudest scenes in the movie are as loud as the commercials.
Maybe.
I just remembered a commercial that was really quite. Only some text appeared on the screen saying something like: "And now a few seconds of silence". I don't even know which company did this commercial or what product they tried to sell with it. But it was a very nice commercial. ^^

It's funny how that silence would probably attract a lot of attention from the viewers.

Yeah that's just bullshit. Last week I was at a friends house and he recorded some films on his DVD recorder. We watched two and for both they ended well before the ending of the film because the times in the TV guide were wrong. We were like: FFFFFFFFFFFFF- >:(
Oh yeah, I still don't know the ending of Tatoo (<- Link warning), since our recording ended before the movie ended... :/

Looks like one of them films where all will be revealed at the end. So yeah, that sucks :p

Lol. You still haven't gotten your license yet?
Nope. I never went to driving school either. :P

Oh well, you'll probably find some time to get it once you're done studying.

Well you don't really need it while you're still studying I guess, but I find it quite handy for travelling to peoples places in the evening. The public transport is usually not that available anymore after 20:00 and cycling is not always an option either.
Lol, this is something unimaginable for me. Public transportation is avaiable 24/7 here. Okay, during the week it may take an hour or two to get from A to B (normal traveling time during the day 20 or 30 minutes) because only busses are avaiable but at least there is public transport.

Yeah, but you live in Hamburg. I live on some island with some small towns, about 20 km away from 'the big city' (Rotterdam). I know in Rotterdam the public transport is always available, but where I live there are only busses and they only come once an hour after 20:00. After midnight there are no busses anymore until five in the morning or so.

So going to parties with the bus isn't that handy since you'll have to leave at around midnight.

Also, Cycling isn't an option here as well. First of all Hamburg is way too big to comfortably go around by bike and second, most of the bicycle lanes are in a very poor condition.

I know cycling tends to be dangerous in some cities :p

I live on the countryside so it's nice and safe to cycle, but going from one town to another can take about an hour or so.

Oops up? That's one I don't know. It's usually Rhythm is a Dancer and I've got the Power.
Yes, I've got the Power was a great song as well.

So it just comes down to that if you want to get abilities like Break Damage Limit, you have to go through some painful sidequest to get it. But I also saw that once you have that skill, the main game becomes easy as fuck... So the only reason you might have to get them is for the sake of completing the game 100%.

You know, the job applications that I applied to hundreds of and didn't get a single fucking job for it? To beat everything besides Nemesis, some arena fiends and the dark aeons, it's actually a walk in the park. However, if you really want to beat Penance you'll need the best customization from the weapons and armour. For American players, they have nothing to worry about since they didn't get dark aeons or Penance. That's actually a bummer for them since they missed out on great challenges.

He was supposedly the old Spoony revived.... Doesn't make any sense to me.
The Spoony that died from the explosion after the FF VIII review? Makes some sense, but I don't think he explained it that well.

But why that Spoony turned evil and where the other Spoony came from makes no fucking sense whatsoever. Meh, it's a weak plot point so I shouldn't be surprised at the bigger plot holes Spoony puts in his own than FFVIII and FFX ever had.

The materia system is easily my favourite but I also liked learning magic abilities from espers in FFVI. Sure, that made every character powerful eventually but it made sense.

Well I can imagine they would do a criminal background check, because it would give the school a terrible reputation if it came to light that someone has a criminal record. For other companies and employers it might matter less cause they can just fire them and move along, but schools have a public function.

Oh yes, that wasn't a bad system either. Unfortunately I never finished FFVI cause my save file got corrupted, but I remember I was busy teaching Terra and Cecil every magic spell as well as getting the last few espers I needed. Then I was gonna storm Kefka's castle.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Be sure to give that game a second chance.

Yeah, I want to, but I can't really motivate myself to go through almost the entire story AGAIN and collect all the espers AGAIN. Currently I got plenty of games still on my play list (one of them being the DS remake for FF IV). Once I'm done with those I might give the game another playthrough.

Possible - I know that mum wanted 6 kids, but was stopped by dad at two. Sometimes, I wish that he'd put his foot down after one, then it would just be me.

Ah yes, your brother troubles. Oh well, surely there must've a point somewhere where you two could get along quite well.

I'm guessing he's not catching much sleep because the kid often starts whining in the middle of the night.
Well, he's the most well adjusted baby I've ever met - he sleeps through seven hours at night, before waking for a feed, then back to sleep.

That sounds pretty good for a baby. He's a lucky guy then, the majority of the babies I meet are incredible whiners.

Not something you would guess, no. Most have a lock function somewhere on the outside of the device.
Yeah, and when I didn't see one I thought it doesn't have a key lock. After 2 or 3 years I discovered it by accident. Somehow the key lock activated itself in my pocket and I had no idea how it did that. So I had to take out the battery so I could operate it again.
Luckily I found a review where someone mentioned the key lock and how it works.

Lol. In a similar way I discovered the shuffle function of my iPod. Sometimes when I put it in my pocket, it shuffled to some other song. I didn't know what was going and put it back to the song I selected, but then it shuffled again as I put it back in my pocket. Turned out that it goes to shuffle mode if you shuffle it >.<

It's funny how that silence would probably attract a lot of attention from the viewers.
Yes, but it didn't work out. Or else I would remember the company. ^^

Yeah, and maybe that's why commercials tend to be loud rather than quiet. So that you will remember the jingles and company names.

Oh well, you'll probably find some time to get it once you're done studying.
Doubt it. :P

If you're going straight into applying for jobs then you won't.

That's why I could never live in a small city.
My gf comes from a very small city (about 200 inhabitants or so) and every kid there gets his/her drivers licence as soon as possible. It's just not possible to get around there without a car.

Same here. Most people get it as soon as possible after they turn 18, and there are also a lot of 16-17 years olds driving around on scooters so that they won't have to cycle to school.

So going to parties with the bus isn't that handy since you'll have to leave at around midnight.
But going to parties by car isn't handy as well because you can't drink alcohol.

That's one of the major downsides indeed, but sometimes someone offers a place to sleep.

NOOOOOOO! >: (
Come on. The bass is pretty awesome.

Nooo! Never!

I really wish 10k Blams would roll around soon, so I can pick where to retire at.

Too bad I don't have Dragon Age on Xbox but whatever, I don't have a 360.

Have you played Munch's Oddysee or does that need a patch as well?

They released a patch for the crash issues on the first level but everything else there's still some issues here and there. Some achievements don't work while some places get you to crash depending on the situation. Despite that, the game is still playable.

Hell, getting an apprenticeship wouldn't have been so hard then and they're made for 16-19 year olds to gain experience. You know, the job applications that I applied to hundreds of and didn't get a single fucking job for it?
I think you talked about that, yes. I guess after the economical crisis it has gotten much harder for young people with 0 experience like us to get a job.

Definitely, it took me 2 1/2 years to finally get a job. I can see it being much worse for those without experience now. I just see this country as coming to the point of crashing, especially when we have two cunts ruining everything besides themselves.

It's even sadder when I got a job at a school with ease and they ask for high expectations considering criminal record checks are needed as well as high quality work.
Well I can imagine they would do a criminal background check, because it would give the school a terrible reputation if it came to light that someone has a criminal record. For other companies and employers it might matter less cause they can just fire them and move along, but schools have a public function.

I'm not complaining about the criminal background check. That's perfectly understandable and not an issue for me at all since I've never been convicted. I'm just saying how a higher standard job was easy for me to get while an apprentice was im-fucking-possible.

Newgrounds is the last site I even want to go on at work. Even if no-one in the office is watching me I'm sure they log the sites the workers go on. Infact, Newgrounds could be blocked for all I know considering it's school computers.
Oh yes, chances are it is. A while ago I brought out my laptop at a McDonalds and I wanted to check Newgrounds, but it was blocked because one of the sites tags is 'adult content'. Most schools probably automatically block those.

I remember the school I went to blocking Newgrounds and even some Google results. I'm not talking about porn searches which would obviously be censored, I'm talking about a time when a friend of mine searched for Slipknot and Cradle of Filth and got a block message. I guess the school is aware of their suckiness. :P

Heh, yeah so they basically took out the two biggest challenges of the game.

Well, not really taking out. The European had them added in to make up for the longer wait.

But why that Spoony turned evil and where the other Spoony came from makes no fucking sense whatsoever. Meh, it's a weak plot point so I shouldn't be surprised at the bigger plot holes Spoony puts in his own than FFVIII and FFX ever had.
Lol :p

Oh well, of course it's all for fun and he probably isn't too serious when he thinks it up.

I still find it hypocritical when he's criticising games for plotholes and then has plotholes for his own sketches. I'm still wondering what was Spoony thinking when he came up with the Black Lantern Spoony character. It's as inspiring as Irate Gamer's Evil Gamer character. Yeah, I'm going that far. It's things that this that make me understand the haters of That Guy With the Glasses.
