So, what's it like to be an uncle? It'd sound pretty weird to me if some kid called me uncle for the first time.
Tbh, it's not really different from not being an uncle. ^^
Lame :p

That seems to be everyone's favorite Creedence Song. I like it very much as well, but after Run Through The Jungle I'd pick Born On The Bayou as my second favorite.
Yes, Born on The Bayou is great as well.
A few days ago I stumbled across "45 Revolutions Per Minute". Now this one is REALLY strange... especially the backwards part.
*shameless self plug*
I made a short youtoube video, reversing the reversed part...

Lol, views count +1.
I haven't heard of that song yet. As far as I know, it wasn't on the greatest CCR hits double CD we have here. I'll look it up soon.
Lol :p
Come on, an MP3 player can't be that hard to operate. I have more trouble operating our TV nowadays since there are three remote controls for it =/
No, it isn't hard to operate. I just wanted to know which functions it had. But it didn't mention the key lock. I accidentally discovered it and then searched the web to find out how to activate it.
It's kind of unbelievable that they didn't mention it in the manual...
That's strange indeed. Maybe they assumed that everybody knows that all MP3's have a key lock?
Oh yes, that annoys the hell out of me as well. You have this very powerful, intense, emotional scene and then some loud commercial goes: "THIS FILM IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY...!!!".
And then they say: "The commercials are just as loud as the movies". Well, has something to do with compression as well... the commercials appear to be louder, so you have to turn down the volume of the TV...
Maybe the loudest scenes in the movie are as loud as the commercials.
Indeed, they always stick these commercials in the last five minutes of the film, even when the film was already supposed to end according to the TV guide...
This reminds me of the time when I tried to record the MASH-episodes on VHS. The station that showed them didn't care too much about the times in the TV guides and often I ended up with some sitcom that ran before MASH and with no MASH on VHS at all...
So they managed to run the show about an hour later than planned.
Yeah that's just bullshit. Last week I was at a friends house and he recorded some films on his DVD recorder. We watched two and for both they ended well before the ending of the film because the times in the TV guide were wrong. We were like: FFFFFFFFFFFFF- >:(
Well, I only listen to the radio when I'm driving, and talkshows / news are generally not the things I'd like to listen to there.
I can't drive, so when I'm in a car I'm always on a passenger seat. I don't care too much what's on the radio then. ^^
Lol. You still haven't gotten your license yet?
Well you don't really need it while you're still studying I guess, but I find it quite handy for travelling to peoples places in the evening. The public transport is usually not that available anymore after 20:00 and cycling is not always an option either.
We used to have a channel called Arrow Classic Rock, which played some pretty sweet music. But they are now only available via the cable, so I'm stuck with shittier channels. One is alright though, it broadcasts 80s and 90s music mostly which is cool sometimes. Although sometimes they come up with shit like Snap...
"Oops up" was THE SHIT back in the 90s!
Oops up? That's one I don't know. It's usually Rhythm is a Dancer and I've got the Power.

I don't know, maybe it differs per country too.
I know in the 40's and 50's, the church still had a big influence here. Using condoms and such was considered a disgrace and was forbidden by the church. Hence why we had all these large Christian families around who had eight children or so.
Both of my parent's families are Christian - on my mum's side, there were 9 kids from 2 marriages, while on my dad's, there are only 2 kids. Mind you, both of his parents came from large families (6 and 4), so they might have wanted to stop earlier.
Maybe they both had bad experiences living with so many in one house?
Well, not when you're just getting pissed and your kid starts screaming.
But I've seen the side effects of gaming and kids - since my best mate and his wife had their first, I've not spent any time at his playing on the PS3 with him :P
Lol :P Because they don't want to play violent games with the kid around?

I wouldn't say going to college or something is 'taking a step back'.
To me it is.
Well I will agree if you already have a college degree.
Anyway, I guess he wants you to stay until the end of the schoolyear? Halfway in the year doesn't sound like a convenient time to have to look for a replacement for you.
Uhh, my headteacher isn't a man. Anyway, they're trying to get me on for a few more months. Not necessarily the end of the year but at least a few more months to help them out.
These are busy times for them I guess?
I don't know how hard they are to collect in FFX, but I assume quite hard since that's always one of the rarest items in FF.
It is. The only way to even get them from battles besides dark aeons is the Battle Arena so that's grinding yourself to battling loads of special fiends and Dark Matters are rare drops.
Shit!
Is there no way to steal them from enemies with a decent success rate?
I think he mentioned only one or two things about it, but didn't go into any details.
Too bad he didn't say much. That's actually a key point to the game that should be explained properly. It's a shame he spent more time on bitching about random trivial things and mediocre sketches than talking about the sphere grid. Some of the new characters Spoony introduced last year are really poor. Black Lantern Spoony is just Spoony with a black shirt and evil while Spoony Bum, his voice isn't good for a bum impression. Of course, by bum impression I mean Chester A. Bum.
Hmm yes, I didn't care much for Black Lantern Spoony either. I still don't know where exactly that character came from. As for his bum impression, well he doesn't use it much. I've only seen him using him in two or three of his movies.
But yeah, he could've dedicated a whole episode to the sphere grid system.
Doesn't sound too bad, but I guess there have been better systems in FF games.
The sphere grid isn't the best system but it's not terrible. Even if some systems don't work out well such as the junction system from FFVIII, I still liked Square's ambition to make the system of the latest FF game different to all the others. However, those ideas are wearing thin now.
Personally I liked the Materia system of FFVII most, next to the classic system where weaponry learned you skills (like in FFIX). Only downside with the latter was that you could miss weapons or sell them and then you'd never be able to learn all the moves.
