The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

No way, I'm not taking steps back. As for the job, there's talks about an extension and the headteacher really wants me to stay for a few additional months.

Actually, yes. If you fuck up once it's back to square fucking zero. I'm just glad I never cared for Lulu. The better option would be to make a custom weapon for her.
And I heard you had to dodge 300 bolts in a row or something. I don't know what the creators were thinking with that quest. It's not like it's any fun.

I thought it was 200 but who fucking cares IT'S A STUPID MINIGAME!

Is the celestial weapon that much better than any custom weapon you can make?

It's the easy way to get a weapon with good abilities. Customising one weapon with the best abilities can be tedious, especially when you need 99 Dark Matters for Break Damage Limit.

You know, as much as I like FFX, I really don't like the grinding. If you want to beat Penance, you need to spend so many hours grinding to make the most out of the sphere grid. It was to the point where I needed tons of clear spheres and replacing power spheres with 1-3 additional points with +4. This also required tons of power sphere items from fiends and thus having an endless amount of battles. I even had to listen to other music to take a break from what I was hearing.

I don't think Spoony ever explained the sphere grid in his review. Infact, the most I heard him saying was "piss off" to everyone commenting on it on Twitter.

Ok I will answer that. On 2/28/06 I did something that wasn't able to be done in years and was thought to be Impossible I pass the barrier of silver and got a gold whistle. Later on in July of that year I got Diety. Back then the whistle system was on a sliding scale so it was thought to be impossible to get that high due to ramagi and Joe raising the bar so high.

Because of this I got big headed an went overboard bragging. So in an attempt to humble myself I started posting the Not really a big deal thing after I passed all my milestone (With very few exceptions).

But now I just say it because it is my signature saying in this thread. Kind of like how I always using the crying expression with all my posts except that I am not trying to be humble with that.

It must just be my family then - My grandad became a father for the first time at 30, my father at 32. Thus in 2001, we had a great year of celebrations, with my grandad's 80th, dad's 50th and my 18th.

I don't know, maybe it differs per country too.

I know in the 40's and 50's, the church still had a big influence here. Using condoms and such was considered a disgrace and was forbidden by the church. Hence why we had all these large Christian families around who had eight children or so.

Hmm, you better not take your gaming frustations out on your kids then. I know some people can get really worked up about losing a game. I can imagine things might start to get ugly when their kid starts whining as well.

I wouldn't say going to college or something is 'taking a step back'.

Anyway, I guess he wants you to stay until the end of the schoolyear? Halfway in the year doesn't sound like a convenient time to have to look for a replacement for you.

I don't know how hard they are to collect in FFX, but I assume quite hard since that's always one of the rarest items in FF.

You know, as much as I like FFX, I really don't like the grinding. If you want to beat Penance, you need to spend so many hours grinding to make the most out of the sphere grid. I think he mentioned only one or two things about it, but didn't go into any details.

However, I do have some idea how it works. If I'm not mistaken, you can have any character learn every ability if you go around the sphere grid with them. And you have to place all these spheres to improve stats and everything.

Doesn't sound too bad, but I guess there have been better systems in FF games.

That seems to be everyone's favorite Creedence Song. I like it very much as well, but after Run Through The Jungle I'd pick Born On The Bayou as my second favorite.

Yes, Born on The Bayou is great as well.
A few days ago I stumbled across "45 Revolutions Per Minute". Now this one is REALLY strange... especially the backwards part.

Actually, I have often saved myself shitloads of time by simply not reading the instructions and just do whatever's logical. I never read tutorials in games either :p On Newgrounds I do occasionally find that I should've though.
Yes, but sometimes that won't get you very far. What's even worse: I read the instruction manual of my mp3 player, but only learned by accident that it has a key lock!
Lol :p

Come on, an MP3 player can't be that hard to operate. I have more trouble operating our TV nowadays since there are three remote controls for it =/

No, it isn't hard to operate. I just wanted to know which functions it had. But it didn't mention the key lock. I accidentally discovered it and then searched the web to find out how to activate it.
It's kind of unbelievable that they didn't mention it in the manual...

Same with movies on TV. I hate it when they put a commercial in the final shot of the movie or some stupid announcer babbles something about what's on later on the station. >:(
Oh yes, that annoys the hell out of me as well. You have this very powerful, intense, emotional scene and then some loud commercial goes: "THIS FILM IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY...!!!".

And then they say: "The commercials are just as loud as the movies". Well, has something to do with compression as well... the commercials appear to be louder, so you have to turn down the volume of the TV...

Indeed, they always stick these commercials in the last five minutes of the film, even when the film was already supposed to end according to the TV guide...

This reminds me of the time when I tried to record the MASH-episodes on VHS. The station that showed them didn't care too much about the times in the TV guides and often I ended up with some sitcom that ran before MASH and with no MASH on VHS at all...
So they managed to run the show about an hour later than planned.

That's probably the biggest problem I have with radio stations these days, apart from the overload of commercials and news updates.
Lol, my biggest problem with radio stations is the shitty music they play. ^^
I only listen to a station that is an "informational station", they don't have anything else but news and other 'shows' where they only talk (some of them are really interesting and I have some added to my newsfeed reader, so I can download the episodes as podcasts), but no music is played, except for some evening shows like 'Jazz Classics'. Oh, and they have the "night lounge" with - sometimes VERY strange - music from 2am to 4 am.
Well, I only listen to the radio when I'm driving, and talkshows / news are generally not the things I'd like to listen to there.

I can't drive, so when I'm in a car I'm always on a passenger seat. I don't care too much what's on the radio then. ^^

We used to have a channel called Arrow Classic Rock, which played some pretty sweet music. But they are now only available via the cable, so I'm stuck with shittier channels. One is alright though, it broadcasts 80s and 90s music mostly which is cool sometimes. Although sometimes they come up with shit like Snap...

"Oops up" was THE SHIT back in the 90s!

But those are usually just 'part of the album' then, right?
They are still called "B-Side", even though technically there's no B-Side anymore.
Hmm... I've never seen them being called B-sides.

Seems to be pretty rare, then.

You can't change your name. However, you can always create another one if you don't like yours; maybe change the email address in that one if you want to reuse it in a new one, since NG allows only one email address to be used per account.

This badass bronze gauntlet wrapped in cool belts should suit my needs until the next level-up, a disappointingly boring pair of wooden chucks...why are there two 'chuck levels anyway? I see fit to replace roughly ten of the current level icons for something much more suitable.

No, I was turning into the car park (where the car is pictured is the entrance) and a car pulled out of a parking space in front of the bank (behind in the shot). As I had commenced my manoeuvre, I only saw this car (which had not signalled, nor put any lights on) when it was too late. Her front wing made contact with my bumper, creasing all of the bodywork. It's her fault and my insurers see it that way as well.

I now have a Seat Exeo estate for the duration of the repairs, which is great, but the one problem I have is the controls for everything, which are massively over complicated. Wednesday, when I get the focus back, I can get on with driving properly.

We're talking new bonnet, bumper, valance, grille and possibly wings. They're crumple zones, so they need to be replaced as new. The radiator wasn't broken, as no fluids leaked. Possible paintwork damage and a little stuff on the interior. The clutch problem isn't a problem, so the repair place said Wednesday is looking like when we'll be done.

I'm more worried about the paintwork and getting a match done well. If they mess that up, I could be driving this for a while...

28,000 Total points isn't an achievement - we count those achievements in the mighty milestones of 5,000 points, or even 10,000 points. There are so many places that you can gain them from. I get about 70 per day and if I can do that, there are people out there that can easily average 100 per day. Congratulating people every 10 days for going up 1,000 points is a little too often.

Only if you had a gold or Deity whistle. But to be honest no it is a terrible way to keep people flagging abusive reviews.

All it would takes is one super competitive person (Like ramagi, or myself back in the day) and everyone's whistles would level down down to silver. This would cause the masses to stop flagging reviews and the newer users to not even try because let's face it most people only flag reviews to get the shiny whistle not because it is the right thing.

Besides that wasn't and it still isn't the purpose to the whistle system in the first place. It was made so that the users could police NG not fight to keep their whistle's shiny. (Funny I am saying this because back in the day I did that even though I was doing it correctly) So the changing of the system some time in ocotober of 2006 was the best thing they could have done.

One person having the power to weaken everyone's whistles when they are doing the right thing wouldn't help the system it would be like shooting it in the leg. Which is what would happen if the Admins where to make the whistle system where you had to continue flagging to keep your whistle shiny.

It most likely wasn't seen. Whenever you level up, or gain some milestone it will be posted eventually.

I wouldn't say going to college or something is 'taking a step back'.

To me it is.

Anyway, I guess he wants you to stay until the end of the schoolyear? Halfway in the year doesn't sound like a convenient time to have to look for a replacement for you.

Uhh, my headteacher isn't a man. Anyway, they're trying to get me on for a few more months. Not necessarily the end of the year but at least a few more months to help them out.

It's the easy way to get a weapon with good abilities. Customising one weapon with the best abilities can be tedious, especially when you need 99 Dark Matters for Break Damage Limit.
I don't know how hard they are to collect in FFX, but I assume quite hard since that's always one of the rarest items in FF.

It is. The only way to even get them from battles besides dark aeons is the Battle Arena so that's grinding yourself to battling loads of special fiends and Dark Matters are rare drops.

I don't think Spoony ever explained the sphere grid in his review. Infact, the most I heard him saying was "piss off" to everyone commenting on it on Twitter.
I think he mentioned only one or two things about it, but didn't go into any details.

Too bad he didn't say much. That's actually a key point to the game that should be explained properly. It's a shame he spent more time on bitching about random trivial things and mediocre sketches than talking about the sphere grid. Some of the new characters Spoony introduced last year are really poor. Black Lantern Spoony is just Spoony with a black shirt and evil while Spoony Bum, his voice isn't good for a bum impression. Of course, by bum impression I mean Chester A. Bum.

Doesn't sound too bad, but I guess there have been better systems in FF games.

The sphere grid isn't the best system but it's not terrible. Even if some systems don't work out well such as the junction system from FFVIII, I still liked Square's ambition to make the system of the latest FF game different to all the others. However, those ideas are wearing thin now.

I want them to release a Batman game where you're in a large city, such at the one in [PROTOTYPE], and you can actually explore the city instead of you following a storyline throughout the whole game. I don't know anything about Batman: Arkham City, but I doubt it's anything like what I just described.

This takes place in Gotham City itself so I thought there'll be a large city roam.

Duke Nukem Forever (I must be kidding myself)
If it's actually coming out, does it have a set release date yet?

It's expected to be released this year. Considering the game is now in the hands of a more stable developing company, there's a better chance of it coming out.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Oblivion is the best game ever, in my opinion at least, I hope Skyrim is even better. I should probably play Morrowind before I get Skyrim, though.

I really wanted to enjoy Morrowind but I have a hard time doing that with the awful combat system.

We have to counter-hog! It's an easy enough procedure, if you can get in there early and often.

Looks like I'll have to write up a request for the both of us and then you can do one for yourself.

Haha, I think I will be boring.

Considering Chinese Democracy was boring, that's a reasonable prediction. Who knows, the game could be really good but there's also a chance it'll suck. We may as well get it over and done with.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I want a real trailer first before getting hyped.

The time will come for that.

The Last Guardian
Is this coming out this year? I want a link.

Expected late 2011. Not a guaranteed 2011 release in that case.

Oh my, did you hit a lamp post?
No, I was turning into the car park (where the car is pictured is the entrance) and a car pulled out of a parking space in front of the bank (behind in the shot). As I had commenced my manoeuvre, I only saw this car (which had not signalled, nor put any lights on) when it was too late. Her front wing made contact with my bumper, creasing all of the bodywork. It's her fault and my insurers see it that way as well.

You know, it's stories like these that make me happy that I can't drive a car. This means, I cannot be involved in car accidents. ^^

I'm not entirely sure about that. But I have yet to see a dragon porn movie, because right I haven't seen one yet. As I've said, I'm not into it, so I won't go looking for it. ^^

Not a post I'm proud of, but here goes.
After 8 years, 22 days, 20 hours and 15 minutes. Parity has been achieved.

Protect/Blam Ratio: 1

Blams: 17,749
Saves: 17,749

Terrible really since approximately 16 months ago it was 1.8 blams to 1 save.

I feel your pain man. It happened to me last year, and now before you know it your ratio will be 1 blam to 1.8 save but I am willing to bet it will take even less time then 16 months since less then 20 blam points come out in 2 days come out of the portal where as you can get over 60+ saves within one.

Do they have an estimate to when all of that will be done. Weeks, months?
