I always hear that you need Latin for Doctor studies, and that that was pretty much the only studies you need Latin for. Makes sense that you'll need it in law and psychology as well though.
My biology teacher is an internist, and I remember he told me that I will need Greek more than Latin. I think both are necessary, there are some Latin words that are commonly used in medicine too. I'm glad the High School I studied, had Greek and Latin etymologies classes. I will need them in med school :/
Yeah my gf often says: Oh that part comes from that latin or greek word, so it probably has something to do with this (which is true in 9 out of 10 cases).
Hahaha, yeah. They can be quite useful if you don't know the meaning of a word :P
I took Latin myself as well at some point, but I sucked at it and dropped the courses. I don't think it was that useful for me anyway.
I don't think a career related with Engineering, is necessary knowing Latin terms. That career is mostly math, logic, physics and some engineerings actually may need chemistry.

Right, the winning streak starts again tonight, with CC beating David Price. 20 wins, here we come.
Of course - they're working on a streak now and I want it to be longer than the last major winless streak they had.You don't want them to lose but lose spectacularly. Spoken like a true Yankee fan.
I mean, after all, it's not like the Cubs have the worst record in baseball - the Phillies have the most losses, as they became the first franchise in Major League history to lose 10,000 Games. That's impressive in the fact that they still manage to win games in this state.

Chemistry involves Latin a lot. It makes easier understanding the Periodic table of elements. I know that Silver's symbol is "Ag" because it comes from the Latin word argentum. Just to mention an example of what I mean. I have to agree that Chemistry is easier if you know some Latin, or vice versa.
I think it's one of the least useful languages for me to learn. Chinese or Japanese may be good languages for me to study.
I have a huge respect to those whoever decide to study, or already speak, Japanese or Chinese. But in your case, I think you might need them because of the career you're studying.

I finished Metroid Other M last night. While the graphics are fantastic and the gameplay shines well (except for boss fights which most seemed to have followed a certain pattern with hurting the enemies), the plot was subpar. Sure, the storyline shouldn't be that important but it doesn't help when these scenes are unskippable and some of them even go in MGS territory for cutscene lengths. This game tries too hard to be dramatic.

Actually, this reminds me of something...
How things change in a couple of years.

However, NGLogs pace check tells me I averaged 24 B/P a day in 2010 (seems to be a bit high imo, but here we go), with that pace I would reach 77,777 B/P on 06/Jun/14.
I just threw in 100k and I'll apparently be there by May 16th 2012. Now, if I can whittle the pace down to 28th of April 2012, I'll have done 100k B/P in 8 years, which is a good pace for a career, I feel. The pace is at 34.119 B/P per day, so I should be able to eclipse that.

Right, the winning streak starts again tonight, with CC beating David Price. 20 wins, here we come.Yep CC isn't going to be stopped tonight.
Well, he wasn't, a shame that the Yanks were by Price. Still, it's looking good for his next start though.

I can just see Nick standing there, stealing your stuff, then wandering around, wearing a picture of Fro's face taped over his own in the background, before finally putting the stuff back in the locker, cleaned and pressed for you.I think I can turn this into a very comical story with a love affair. It could also make a good short story about a man who has multiple personalities and had actually hid this on himself and returned it to himself the next year.

But what I loved of your fan fiction, it was the fact you actually described the blamming process as an heroic job. Like if the EGB's ambient was truly like that.
I have to admit you got me very interested through the whole chapter, and I never distracted myself from it until I finished the whole chapter. Auzsome writing Coop, I can't wait for chapter 2.
I'm glad that you liked it - you'll have to wait though, as I've got the deadline for chapter 26 rapidly approaching, so that takes precedence.
Don't worry, all will be explained, as will the introduction of the Police Force, which our hero had to join first.

It's well worth it and while Assassin's Creed Brotherhood will probably take up some of my time (and my wallet, if I go and get a new TV and PS3 for it!), I'm actually looking forward to Civilization V the most now.

Sorry, man. But I want to get rid of this shitblade already.
Well you might not have listened, but I have no level ups to say congrats to! This might have something to do with me making my last post right before midnight and nobody that posts here has had the chance to level up since then.
Also, there are genre mods posting in this thread silly. XD Or at least one genre mod that I know about for sure. I was just assuming someone else may be one.

Talking about that aura, I hope Bahamut don't get mad at me by inspiring thenewbies to make a script that gives everybody in the BBS, Fab auras. Including mods :P
It's not that, it's just an eyesore. Blue, blue, blue is where it's at, dude.
By the way, Care to explain to Bahamut about this?? I sorta inspired him too but he says you inspired him :P
Slander obviously. Bahamut should ban him into next week for talk like that. :P

Next start seems to be against the O's on the 19th. Heh, all bet are off with the Yanks skidding as they are now.

Also, it's an insult you'd use at football matches if you are unhappy with the ref: "Schiri, wir wissen wo dein Auto steht."
A better threat would be: "Ich weiß wo du wohnst" (I know where you live), but that would be just silly in this context. XD
