Oh, and in the middle of getting that achievement, I helped my team to win the League Invitation Cup, so part 1 complete.
Now we only need to win the league on Sunday :D
I recently had 666 posts in total, I thought that was pretty notable.

But there should be some differences between being a manly human and a manly dragon. So there should be different things that should count towards being "a real human man" and being "a real dragon man".
And I'm pretty sure "listening to Manowar" has nothing to do with being a "real human man". :P
They were still able to blow your speakers. But at one point, Manowar WERE the loudest band in the world. And that's about the only achievement in their whole carreer. I'm not impressed. :P
Nope.
I might have had monitors exploding, but my speakers never failed.

They are one of the best bands around today, imo.
Lol, well I can recognize that that is gibberish. But the more serious war movies, like Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers (TV series actually) do seem to have proper German in them and German people are mostly portrayed as dominant and aggressive people I believe.Hmm yeah I guess it could be the stereotypes and indeed if you don't know a language that well things can always sound differently. Plus, maybe my idea of German people is mostly shapen by WW2 movies :pBut you should know that in WW2 movies there's only pidgin german, not real german. :P
Hm, that one german soldier in Saving Private Ryan (the one who was talking about Steamboat Willy and got shot in the end by that translator guy) isn't very agressive, imo.
Never watched Band of Brothers, though.
But yeah, how else should german soldiers be displayed? I mean, the audience has to hate them (or at least feel no sympathy for them), so...
Oh, btw: What about Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds? He is very polite most of the time.

Ah yes, the active depositers. They're always a bugger when it comes to passing people in EXP. For me, it's getting rather slow right now but I'm sure it'll pick up again.Nicely done. You may call me an ignorant, since I've always thought that English was the world's #1 language. That's why I decided to spend years learning it, lol.
I took 2 semesters of French in High School. They were awful. I can't believe Spanish is like the cousin of the French language. They may look alike when I see it written, but the pronunciation is completely different and nothing related to Spanish. Not to mention the accent, my French teacher told me that my accent, each time when he put me to read in front of the class, was horrible. I almost barfed each time that I had to do the accent. I just fail at it ._.

Not to worry, it's September now! I have several things to look forward to this month.Yeah, Labor Day weekend in the US is going to be nice and that's about it for me. Nothing special this month but it just means the end of summer and the beginnings of the nice Fall weather.
My Newgrounds birthday is shortly coming up.
Yeah, I'm surprised they haven't even made posters for that.Seriously. It's ten times better than a cat on a clothesline 'hanging in there.' Go buy the rights to Futurama and start making those poster!
Yeah, most cat pictures are lame now.

That's pretty much it. Not only is it easy to find on the internet, it doesn't help when some of these shows aren't shown in certain countries.
I do have Comedy Central here but they're so slow to get new Futurama. I don't like Family Guy and I never really paid attention to South Park. I should but I'm so far behind.Heh, I noticed in London that there was a lot of Family Guy on BBC 3 in the evenings. I thought that was nice.
BBC3 likes to show a lot of Family Guy.
Haha, who would? Just shows how little faith we have in humanity. :DWell I still have faith in humanity but not so much in the entertainment industry.
Yep, we all know the wrong direction video games are taking. :)
A GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKING MILEY CYRUS SONG! UGH!DAMN DUDE!!!!!!!!!
Why would anyone want to cover a Miley Cyrus song?
I have no idea but to put that on single is sickening. Good thing people rebelled against it and got Rage Against the Machine for Christmas number 1 instead.
LOL, you are jellyous.Lol :p That sounds like one of those things kids always say.
I wonder why...
Wait what? I thought you had plenty of sunny days.No way man. Today was the only day I've seen the sun this month and it was only for a few hours. Several streets in cities were flooded due to rain. Late June / early July was the only time we had decent weather. Also I heard this was the second worst summer since 1906.
Then what about those days when you were outside the house because the weather was "too good"?
I wouldn't be surprised if you played the original Metroid. That can be a real turn off.I played a remake on the GBA of something. Could be that it was the original Metroid. I think I had some difficulties with the aiming in the game and that also turned me off.
Then yeah, it must have been the original game.
Haha, Boost Guardian was the hardest out of the lot. I remember everyone complaining about the difficulty of Boost Guardian but I've managed to beat that mofo on hard mode.Lol, yeah I beat it on Hard Mode as well, but the Boost Guardian is a total bitch. Mainly for being out in the dark atmosphere with no light crystals. Damn. I think he is the only halfway boss that took me more than five tries.
I took plenty of tries but eventually I did it. People just need to persevere.
Last year I ordered Metroid Prime 1 because it was only 13 euros. I was very happy with it and I still gotta do a second run through it on hard mode.
I think I got Metroid Prime for £20 but I won't remember now. It's been that long.
I was thinking of getting The Beatles Rock Band. Not sure why I haven't picked it up besides the fact that I need money and space for the peripherals. The AC/DC thing is only a song pack and not an individual game.So you like The Beatles as well? Awesome!
Of course, they were formed in Liverpool and that's the city across the water to where I am.
I'll be surprised if they never made a Pink Floyd game.Yeah but since they're split up they might start bitching about the rights and such. I think that might be the only thing that's stopping a Pink Floyd game, cause surely the makers of GH games must realize that loads of people like this band and they got plenty of interesting songs to play.
As far as I know, the only band that's been bitchy about having songs on Guitar Hero is Led Zeppelin.
Way different with my brother. He's more into pop music and the kind of thing you hear at dance clubs. Luckily he doesn't turn his speakers up that often.

Ladies and Gentlemen. Today marks my 4th Year here on Newgrounds!
For the past 4 years I have written many reviews, some of which I consider to be masterpieces here on Newgrounds. I decided to pick up where NG MAG left off by creating The Interviewer. I have also done 30 Interviews with some of the famous artists and members of Newgrounds and I plan on doing more.
Being on Newgrounds for 4 years is something grand, and I can only see brighter things for Newgrounds' future. Truth be told, I hope it never ends.

Fine, but don't forget about the band man.
Only for the revolution. That reminds me, the thread still needs a bump.Poster's block?
Yeah same.

At least, the people I know are like that. That's pretty much it. Not only is it easy to find on the internet, it doesn't help when some of these shows aren't shown in certain countries.
Yep. Or shown years later, but we already went over that :p
Heh, I noticed in London that there was a lot of Family Guy on BBC 3 in the evenings. I thought that was nice.BBC3 likes to show a lot of Family Guy.
Too bad I can't watch BBC3 here.
Well I still have faith in humanity but not so much in the entertainment industry.Yep, we all know the wrong direction video games are taking. :)
Hmm if you mean the direction of aiming for mature audiences while not trying to attract the younger kids then yeah.
If you mean coming up with tons of expensive, unnecessary gadgets and silly stuff then... yeah.
DAMN DUDE!!!!!!!!!I have no idea but to put that on single is sickening. Good thing people rebelled against it and got Rage Against the Machine for Christmas number 1 instead.
Why would anyone want to cover a Miley Cyrus song?
Oh so... the cover is actually being sold as a single? Jeez. Talk about laziness. I guess that's what you get with artists who are only in the business for the money.
And yeah I thought that was funny :p Wasn't it the ... I can't remember what the song is called but it goes like: "FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!!!". It was also in GTA San Andreas.
Lol :p That sounds like one of those things kids always say.I wonder why...
Kids are silly. Especially British kids.
No way man. Today was the only day I've seen the sun this month and it was only for a few hours. Several streets in cities were flooded due to rain. Late June / early July was the only time we had decent weather. Also I heard this was the second worst summer since 1906.Then what about those days when you were outside the house because the weather was "too good"?
Wasn't that like... two months ago? =/
I played a remake on the GBA of something. Could be that it was the original Metroid. I think I had some difficulties with the aiming in the game and that also turned me off. Then yeah, it must have been the original game.
I see. I'll give it another go someday though, or otherwise I'll try to find that second Metroid game. I need to give it a second try after hearing so much good stuff about the series.
Lol, yeah I beat it on Hard Mode as well, but the Boost Guardian is a total bitch. Mainly for being out in the dark atmosphere with no light crystals. Damn. I think he is the only halfway boss that took me more than five tries.I took plenty of tries but eventually I did it. People just need to persevere.
Yeah, you'll often find a point in a videogame which is tough, but you'll always get through it eventually. Some people tend to give up quickly when they got bored of trying.
Last year I ordered Metroid Prime 1 because it was only 13 euros. I was very happy with it and I still gotta do a second run through it on hard mode.I think I got Metroid Prime for £20 but I won't remember now. It's been that long.
I guess you got it somewhat later than the release date then. I think I got MP2 for 50 euros or so, which is the standard price for something new.
So you like The Beatles as well? Awesome!Of course, they were formed in Liverpool and that's the city across the water to where I am.
Awesome!
I wouldn't expect someone who's very much into metal to also like The Beatles since it's like the opposite within the rock genre.
Yeah but since they're split up they might start bitching about the rights and such. I think that might be the only thing that's stopping a Pink Floyd game, cause surely the makers of GH games must realize that loads of people like this band and they got plenty of interesting songs to play.As far as I know, the only band that's been bitchy about having songs on Guitar Hero is Led Zeppelin.
Hmm yeah I guess the bands will get payed a lot to have their music featured in such games so the majority of them probably won't complain.
I looked up an article about Pink Floyd and Guitar Hero. Apparently, members of Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones did not like Guitar Hero cause they'd rather have kids to learn to play a real guitar or instrument. It also says Led Zeppelin expressed similar complaints, which might be the bitching you referred to.
But the drummer did say in 2009 that a Pink Floyd Rock Band might happen someday, because it's difficult to sell records these days and bands have to look for new ways to sell their music.
Way different with my brother. He's more into pop music and the kind of thing you hear at dance clubs. Luckily he doesn't turn his speakers up that often.Good, he doesn't sound like my neighbour who's a complete douchebag.
Lol, glad I'm not living where you live.
I suppose you often turn up your heavy metal as well to annoy him back right? :p

I can not deny that they are among the better bands formed in the last 10-15 years. While I don't like their music all that much, I think they got some alright songs and at least it's rock n roll-ish (which you rarely see nowadays).
I'd say the same about Muse. Another band I don't like that much, but I would say they're among the best bands of the past decade.
Lol, well I can recognize that that is gibberish. But the more serious war movies, like Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers (TV series actually) do seem to have proper German in them and German people are mostly portrayed as dominant and aggressive people I believe.Hm, that one german soldier in Saving Private Ryan (the one who was talking about Steamboat Willy and got shot in the end by that translator guy) isn't very agressive, imo.
Never watched Band of Brothers, though.
But yeah, how else should german soldiers be displayed? I mean, the audience has to hate them (or at least feel no sympathy for them), so...
I believe Band of Brothers is considered the best miniseries ever made. I did a marathon with some friends once and it was awesome. I can definitely recommend it.
I can't remember much about Saving Private Ryan anymore. Last time I watched it was last year or so. But I guess you are right, people would probably find it wrong if the German soldiers were portrayed as good people or something.
It would be interesting for a movie though, to look through the perspective of a German soldier for once and see that they are not much different from the American soldiers when it comes down to it. I don't know if that's ever been done before.
Oh, btw: What about Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds? He is very polite most of the time.
Lol!
Come on, you can smell from a mile away that Hans Landa is a mean bastard underneath that charm. Probably the worst one of them all.

It's from Scrubs. Man, I am surprised somebody doesn't know who Dr Cox is or has never heard of him. I thought he was well known for his angry, long and hilarious speeches, even to people who are not a fan of the series. He's played by John McKinley if that helps.
Dr Cox or John McGinley?
The actor is pretty famous I think. He's been in plenty of well known movies like Platoon, Office Space, Highlander 2, Se7en. Once you've seen him in Scrubs, you can never imagine him as anything else than Dr Cox though :p
Bingo back atcha :PIs that from the Simpsons? At 8/21/10 06:45 AM, Coop83 wrote: At 8/20/10 05:13 PM, Auz wrote:

It is now, but I'm talking 17th-18th century.
Everybody who had money tried to speak French so that they looked cool... or something.
Heh I hear some Spanish every now and again but it doesn't sound much like French at all indeed.
I think I'm actually alright with accents, but my French vocabulary and grammar are just awful.

Way to respond to an 8 year old post there. Good job. At least your post doesn't make any sense, so that's something.
